Volunteer Experience…read more I had a wonderful experience volunteering at MidSouth Care Services in Memphis, TN, while completing my community service hours. During my time there, I had the opportunity to serve as a receptionist, where I assisted with contacting newly attending caregivers to provide them with information about their upcoming training dates and times. This experience allowed me to strengthen my communication and organizational skills while also giving me the opportunity to interact with staff and caregivers in a professional setting. I also had the opportunity to meet the Program Director, Ms. Latesha Humphrey, Program Coordinator, Ms. Sherry Mobley, Program Coordinator, Ms. Tawanda Miles, and HR Assistant, Ms. Corretta Esaw. All of them were very welcoming, kind, and supportive throughout my time there. Ms. Humphrey showed strong leadership and made me feel appreciated as a volunteer, while Ms. Mobley, Ms. Miles, and Ms. Esaw were helpful and supportive and made sure I understood my responsibilities. Their professionalism and dedication to the program really stood out to me. Overall, my time at MidSouth Care Services was a meaningful experience. I enjoyed being able to contribute to the organization while gaining valuable experience in communication, professionalism, and working with others.
