I sent him pics and measurements of my vintage footrest and he quoted me a fair price. My wife helped me pick out some decent material at Joann's Fabric (50% off) and I left the footrest and material with Joe and waited for the finished product. Several weeks later, my footrest was ready for pickup. It looks phenomenal now (see pics). As for clothing, I later took a bunch of dress shirts for alterations, as well as a suit jacket. Everything looks great! Judging by the number of customers who came and went each time I have gone there, Joe's skills are in demand. Joe's prices are fair and he always works hard to be sure his customers are satisfied.

I called the next day and they asked me to bring it back. When I brought it back the owner was very short with me and said "was ridiculous" and that no one else would notice stitching when I wore it. I told her that even if no one would be looking super close at it, I still wanted it done right or wanted my money back. She started screaming and waving her thread cutters at me which I asked her repeatedly to put down as she gestured, mocked and screamed. I brought my daughter in to have a dress altered. My daughter tried the dress on and we showed the length we wanted which was about four inches above the knee. I picked the dress up when it was ready but my daughter was not with me to try it back on. When she tried it on at home the dress barely covered her butt, it looked more like a top then a dress. A little short would have fine but it was to the point where you could actually see her butt cheeks!!! When I took the dress back to them I was very calm and explained what it looked like and I even showed him a picture of my daughter wearing it with her butt cheeks out and all. When I asked for my money back, Which was 46 bucks, he flat out said no we don't give money back. I could not believe it. I was there for about 20 minutes arguing with ( which is another thing I hate to do) This person was so unreasonable and he kept trying to blame me. At one point I heard him say "there's something wrong with you". Really??? There would be something wrong with me if I thought the length of that dress was acceptable! I finally gave up and left being out a total of 84 bucks plus the new dress I had to buy. Never go here unless you have a dress that you want to turn into a top! I live 30 minutes away from Kamal and on two occasions for which she told me I could stop by, she would follow up saying she is unavailable or completely be unresponsive. (Last minute, on my drive in and once when I arrived she was no where to be found). On the second occasion, her husband yelled at me to "eff off". This place also has a bathroom, snack and soda machine. The Bad: dirty place. most of the dirt is from the filthy customers, so not to make this knock on this business - though they should have someone come out and sweep every so often. The major issue and this is what my very first review stated: The spiders and webs are all over the place and you have to be careful that they do not land in your laundry basket. The outside overhang used to be much worse than it is now though it is still bad. Inside has gotten worse though. Cleaning people need to take a long handle duster and wipe clean the walls, ceiling, ceiling fans, vents. Need to do this every night. Oh, and the use of PayRange sometimes is a hit or miss. Too many times I have to email PayRange about an issue with the loading of funds or double charging on a machine. To PayRange's credit they are very quick to respond and clear the issue.
