Willowbranch Park is bordered by Willow Branch Avenue, Sydney Street, Cherry Street, and Park Street. At one end is the Willowbranch Library and on the same side, at the other end, are baseball and soccer fields. The other half of the park are paths and gently wooded areas to stroll and benches to sit on. This is not a dog park, so dogs need to be leashed at all times (city ordinance). Parking is located on the outskirts of the park. Please only use the library parking lot when the library is closed. Also, when parking across from the park, be careful of driveways and do not block.

My last several visits I practiced beginners Tai Chi at sunset. The park is on the beach and offers a free private parking lot. This is a great place to practice Tai Chi as the ocean noizes help you relax. The grass in the center of the park is soft so I'm sure it's also good for yoga. There were a couple of public restrooms open from daylight to dusk. You will also find lots of dogs being walked in the area. If you're looking for a beachfront park look no further.

This park has everything you need, and/or looking for, and then some!…read more First and foremost, there is a large parking lot. Considering how busy the beach can get at times I'm not going to say there will always be a space open, but your chances of finding a parking space are much better than other beachfront parks...and it's free. The park not only has a large parking lot, but it has restrooms and beach showers. There are boardwalks going out to the beach as well for ease and protection of the dunes. If you are in the park a little after dusk and/or before the first light, please know the parking lot has lighting for safety. Aside from the above, there are sheltered picnic areas, a large grassy area for just chillin' or playin' around, a sand volleyball court, and educational information signs about the area/Jacksonville Beach. Plus, there are concrete figures for you to enjoy, take pictures of or selfies, kids to play on, or whatever. In the center of the park, there is a bronze statue which is considered the focal point of the park. It is meant to symbolize the dedication to preserving public access to the beach for generations to come. If you are local or a tourist and haven't been to this beach...put it on your list to check out. Even if you just want to enjoy an early evening walk on the beach instead of a day at the beach...this beach is perfect for a little something different. There is handicapped parking, handicapped access to the beach, and to the grassy area. (Please note: Across the street from the grassy area is UNF's Seaside Sculpture Park--another good place to check out if you have time.)

A little bit sketchy, but there's a lot of open space and a couple play structures for the little…read moreone. We saw one family teaching their son to ride his bike with no training wheels. The long long sidewalks surrounding and weaving through the grounds are great for that. There are some covered picnic tables but the rubber finish is coming off. There are plenty of benches in the shade of the amazing trees. Although it's right next to Beach Blvd, I could see spending some quiet time reading praying and reflecting on a bench while the kids play. Our son found a pile of clothes and some underwear on one of the play structures, so there's that. My wife said to make this a 4 star review instead of three.

I always carry protection when going to this park but after a strange man took pictures of his surroundings and said "I'll see you later" to me as he left I will not be returning. I wish they would send a cop to keep it cleaned up or had a better solution. Luckily the city's park crewmen were there and he seemed to scare off at them. The trees and walking path are beautiful but, something has to change :(

I was absolutely floored by the expanse of this park. Even as an adult, I found this park to spark that childlike excitement. With huge slides, tepee hut style enclosures, and levels to the park, it was super exciting. A great spot for kids and adults alike!

This is my favorite place in Jacksonville. I walk/run here almost every morning and it never gets…read moreold. Usually it is pretty empty at 9 am. I love looking out and I especially get excited when I see dolphins! The river is right off the main San Marco Blvd and can be easily walked to from the main little part of town. It is also arguably the best spot in town to watch the sunset. The sun sets RIGHT over the river and it is always a great sight. People bring folding chairs and blankets to sit and watch. I've seen people bring V Pizza to eat while looking out at the river, and I need to keep that in mind for next time lol! Note that there is no designated parking or benches. There is a crosswalk with a ramp up to the walk way, so this is handicap accessible. Don't miss this beautiful spot in San Marco.

I do believe the park is open dusk to dawn. Then the gates might lock at dusk. I come here for my quiet times in the morning before I go to work and sometimes on my lunch break. Pros:close, nice neighborhood, on the river. Cons:there are NO parking spots. I just park on the side of the road. Enjoy!
