I had a view to the Empire State Building and that was fine. I did have to ask for a kettle and mugs. I also went to the nearby Chelsea Market for instant coffee because there was no coffee or tea in the room. For a business traveler, that's pretty inconvenient. The area around is very safe. I walked around at 11pm and although the streets were empty (it was freezing), I didn't see any trash or felt unsafe. It's not the most convenient place for shopping but Chelsea Market is four minutes away. The A-E-L trains were about seven minutes away on foot. Overall, a better experience than I expected.

Connected restaurants were a "ginger bread" like house, which served hot chocolate, chocolate with marshmallows, etc. The standard Grill had your basic breakfast/lunch/dinner entrees and then a Bier Gartern Our room was tiny! We thought it would be bigger but it was fine for 2 people. The seating area in the room, looked like a seating area for a boat lol. There are no doors to the shower, which had a garden style head. The water felt sooooooooooooooooooooo good. And there's a really dim light in the shower area. There is also a DEEP tub, big enough for 2 people i'm sure. No doors on the sink area either. Contains about 4 sets of towels, which was great. A safe, steamer, blow dryer. The bathroom had a door! Bed was very low to the floor, King size comfy. Carpet was a little different than I'm used to. The GYM has the best views lol. 17th floor. A ton of equipment to use TV is as low as the bed. Our view was allllllllllllllll City buildings and the water. It was beautiful!!!! There is uncovered parking. Since it snowed, we parked a few blocks away in a covered garage, not affiliated with the hotel. We did this because the hotel staff said we would need to shovel ourselves out etc. Metro was about a strong 5+ minute walk. A/B/C lines

She was incredibly kind and welcoming, even giving our dog a treat at check-in, which was such a thoughtful touch. We booked the "Woolf " package, and it exceeded expectations--our pup had a comfortable dog bed, bowls, and we were given great recommendations for dog-friendly restaurants in the area. Grace went above and beyond by sending a bottle of champagne to our room for my birthday, which was such a nice surprise. The room itself was clean, well-appointed, and had a small balcony, which made it feel extra special for a quick city escape. Anytime we needed something, the front desk responded quickly and took care of it without issue. The only downside was our experience at the rooftop bar. Unfortunately, the service there was pretty disappointing. That said, we didn't let it overshadow the rest of our stay, which was otherwise fantastic. Overall, I'd absolutely return and recommend this hotel--just maybe skip the rooftop bar.

If you get back late, there's a direct bus from Manhattan station to a bus stop across the hotel. The views are also beautiful, overlooking the waterfront between NYC and NJ. Service is quick and friendly. My only gripe with the hotel, similar to other reviews, is that the hotel is pretty dated. The elevators are slow and the interior of the rooms are old. They are very spacious, but there's awkward placement of tables, couches, etc. The bed is very comfortable.

I've stayed here a few times, so I feel like I could give a pretty accurate assessment on the experience. The folks at the front desk are always pleasant, although they can't really do much to enhance your stay and don't seem to pay attention to status. Two years in a row, I had to advocate for a breakfast voucher after learning I should have gotten one from the restaurant. Last year you used to get a hot breakfast with status, this year they changed it to this weird continental breakfast. It's not even worth it. The rooms are so outdated and really need to be upgraded. It's such a shame that with a view like that on the outside, that the view on the inside doesn't match. There is plenty of parking behind the hotel. You just need to pay for it daily. But honestly, in that area, it's worth it. The restaurant is interesting... the music is always way too loud, it's been that way for three years. Breakfast is pretty simple, there is something for everybody though. The staff are very sweet in the morning. At night, it turns into this random collection of people with average food and terrible bartenders. That has certainly been consistent every year. Although I guess you don't really go to a hotel bar for good service? Overall, this is a pretty average day that checks the boxes of what you would need for a hotel. If they were to do renovations, it would certainly enhance the experience.

Some plans changed leading up to our stay due to our son getting sick and the team was immensely helpful, moving our dates at no cost. We enjoyed a 5-minute walk to the 23rd St. Station, Olympia Deli & Juice (Which I highly recommend hitting up for cheap delicious breakfast), dozens of incredible coffee shops, 7th Street Burger, and the iconic Flatiron Building. Also nearby are numerous great coffee shops and this is a 15-20 minute walk from Chelsea Market where you'll find Los Tacos No.1 and so many incredible stores. Our room was compact, but intentionally optimized spacially. We had a king bed with a Twin bunk bed and since our toddler always found his way into our bed, the bunk served to keep our luggage and clunkier stuff off the ground. Everything was perfectly clean, the team always attentive and while we didn't have a full meal at Lulla (restaurant in lobby) but their cookies and gelato were CLUTCH. We'll be staying here for any and all future NYC trips. View from the window outside the elevator on 42 floor is incredible as well as outside our 15th floor room window!

There's no closet, the sink is outside of the bathroom and there's no room for a chair. The distance between the foot of the (King size) bed and wall is about 2.5 feet. The towels were good, the bed was very comfortable. But there's not sufficient lighting in the room, even with all of the lights turned on.. The staff were helpful and polite. My wife requested an extra blanket that was delivered to our room very promptly. It was an ok experience, but I prefer other hotels in the area.
