Really enjoyed staying at the only hotel in Hoboken . Upon entering early in the morning , a competent Daphne at the front desk was able to get us a room right away . We had requested an early check in the day before and happily she really complied! Dante and Michael were helpful as well . The beds were super comfortable and plenty of pillows. Many soft white bathroom towels provided each day ! Just needing improvement were the coffee maker and the shower which were difficult . The desk chair was very worn which was a surprise to see in this nice hotel room . Liked the "partial" view of the Hudson River !

Friendly front desk staff; comfy and clean room; nice big shower head in a shower with fair amount of space; comfy bed; relatively quiet room; perfectly located for the Stevens Institute of Technology in a pleasant part of Hoboken.

Great restaurant, excellent bartender and prompt service from staff! Super convenient location near ferry, PATH train, bus line. Beautiful park and walkways along the Hudson in front of hotel.

Overall areas was a njce location.

Look for other options. The bed was too soft. Had to support my back with pillows. I requested a 2pm checkout. I was pressed for time, when I went to my room my card didn't work. I went down the elevator to the lobby to get two new cards and then went back up the elevator to my room. Both of the two new cards also didn't work--resulting in less time for resting before a long day of travel. Bit of a disaster. I also ordered room service the shrimp cocktail was horrible (sauce was clumpy, like it sat out too long) and the Caesar salad was so sour it was not edible. The only thing I ate that night for dinner was a 4oz gingerale. If you expect a quality experience, find other options.

First time here. Disaster. I requested a 2pm check in when I booked a month ago. Arrive and give my car to valet. The valet says, "I'll find a spot for you" and proceeds to tell us that there are no valet spots available now. Um ok, this is not a good first impression. We walk in and attempt check in at 2:10. The employee tells us there are no rooms available right now as check in at 3. He will try to get us a room before then but it could be 30-40 minutes after 3. Um, no? My sister has a spa appointment at 3:15 this will not work. Finally we were offered a clean king room instead of two queens for the same price in exchange to check in now. Guess we will share a bed ‍ Things not mentioned at Check in - 1) that you need to scan your key in elevator to press floor 2) what the wifi password is or how to access it 3) that there is a hold put on your credit card above the room fee for incidentals We have buffet breakfast included with the room cost tomorrow morning. What was mentioned at check in was to make sure the restaurant doesn't charge breakfast to the room since it's included in the price. So for $615 a night, I need to go out of my way and check to make sure I'm not charged extra for something that I should have included? Ridiculous. The view is pretty and the bathrooms are nice.

As a Marriott member and previous Marriott employee, I was very displeased with the front desk representative that I encountered during check-in. During my check-in experience, I originally booked my room under a government rate for work business. The front desk representative asked for proof of my government id, which I was understanding of and unfortunately I did not have my physical id on my persons. I was able to provide the front desk representative a picture front and back of my government id with my employee photo on it and was told that it was not sufficient and would not be given the government rate. I ultimately, ended up using my Marriott points for my stay as I explained by job would not reimburse for my stay under the regular rate. After completing check-in, the front desk representative was very short and did not even explain the amenities in the hotel, as I witnessed her do to other guests nor did she direct me to the elevators. Additionally, any time I walked past the front desk, I observed the same front desk attendant watching me which was extremely unpleasant. Likes: valet parking for $50 daily Very comfortable bed Option for view of NYC Skyline Walking distance to many shops and restaurants Dislikes/Areas for improvement One-panel shower and button to activate shower was very challenging to use and keep shower on

Really grade A spot on service! Had a fabulous staycation at the W coming from the city. We were definitely impressed at the level of service and attention from the staff. (Side note: they even change the carpets in the elevator from good morning to good afternoon and evening. That's dedication. Also just crazy impressive). While some of the areas in the hotel are closed it didn't really affect our experience. We were in a partial River view double queen room and it was beautifully clean and they had treats waiting for us (thank you). The view was spectacular more than we had expected. The location is great just blocks away from the path station, next to the water and blocks away from Washington street which is where all the action seemed to be happening. We had a great time in the hotel. No complaints. Except maybe next time we should stay longer to soak in more of Hoboken since we had tons more food places to explore. Overall such a great trip!

I think Eli Manning has a similar view somewhere in Hoboken.

For the price you pay, the expectation is high. This W didn't not meet any of our expectations from services, hospitality, amenities.

I'm a Hilton Gold Member, so I always try to locate a Hilton as the per diem food/beverage credit and water bottles are always a great perk. At booking, I chose a City View one bed room, but when asked for only $16/night to upgrade to City View - Landmark, I did it! I'm very glad I did! Pros: - The view! I found myself both photographing the view at various times of day, but also taking a selfie or two of my fit for work. If torn between paying for a landmark city view or city view, get the landmark! - Easy to get a digital key and maneuver through the property - Urban area increase to per diem (total $28/day for my stay with Gold status) - Lulla is great for any meal, a cocktail, or even an espresso drink. Gravitated here for convenience as it was delicious and great way to use Hilton credits. - Friendly stay at check in/check out (shout out to Pav, Herbie and Jamie) - Comfortable bed that you get at Hilton properties, so great nights sleep even with the sounds of NYC in the background - Complimentary coffee in the lobby if you want no frills pick-me-up Cons: - Only three hangers and no drawers to put your clothes in. I hate living out of a suitcase, though I'm glad they had a stand for luggage at least! - Rooms are small so there's limited space for snacks and toiletries (shared space) - No microwave which made leftovers challenging, so keep in mind if not trying to dine out most of your trip Such a fabulous stay that I'll book again for any future work trips as it was a 15-17 minute walk to the office in Flatiron area. My best friend and I were on our girls trip to NYC and found this hotel as an option. It looked promising and overall it definitely delivered for the price. Yes, the rooms are small, but we both don't take up much space and it had everything we needed. I thought the bed was comfortable, and for two girls a king sized bed was more than enough. I do think the bathroom being only a barn door was my only qualm, as it didn't give much privacy. The lounge area was nice and spacious, and would be a great spot to get some work done if you don't want to bother the people you're staying with. The staff at the front desk, at the bar, and throughout the hotel were all so pleasant and kind! I thought it might be awkward or pretentious, but it really felt rather inviting instead, like you are taking part in something special. It is like you're in another world. One gripe we had is that the experience got a little repetitive after a while (let's go in a room and see another person dance with a serious expression on their face and/or entice another cast member...at times I felt that none of it mattered/nothing really happens).
