I was nearing E and knew I wouldn't be making the next major area for fuel and having just passed the Hancock area I needed to pull off. Unless you live off this exit from I-70, there is really nothing here besides this business. It is a welcomed sight when you are in need. The Exxon serves as more than a gas station. There is fuel for trucks as well and in the very near future there will be charging stations for your electric vehicles. They were installing them during my visit. Being that there isn't any competition here for fuel, they kind of set the prices. They are fair, but not the best. Ample enough pumps when they are not doing maintenance on what they have. When I was here, they were working on the awning, taking out a few of the pumps as they made progress. I used pay at the pumps. It felt like I wasn't able to get out of here fast enough. Before I could even get out of my vehicle and swipe my card there was already somebody behind me. The pump took a bit, but soon enough I was done and back in my vehicle. Easy to get back onto the Interstate once I was done. This will be on my short list when it comes to places for fuel on my trips.

The beer selection was mostly if not all domestic from the big three. I guess that's what the local clientele want. They also seemed confused as to what cider was. I know it's not huge in America but surely if you stock even a limited selection you should know what it is? Only stopped on a whim as the wife wanted cider after a hard days unpacking, we're not likely to hurry back.

The men's room consisted of two urinals and two stalls; you know it's bad when there's a line to drop a deuce in the men's room. TLDR: Great place to stop, stretch, and ease one's burdens.

I measure this as being the halfway point for me and usually take that as an opportunity to take a break. But, alas, I wasn't able to make the stop...until recently. They finished their update to what is basically a rest stop and I have to say they did it justice. I hope that means they will be doing the same thing to the one on the outbound side of I-70. It is a no frills stop, but a good place to get out and stretch you legs. They offer vending machines, restrooms, informational materials (including state maps), pet area and outdoor seating if you wanted to eat your food you may have brought with you. Easy off and on to the Interstate. A good place to empty your head before you continue on with your travel.
