Part of my plan on this trip home was to pick up a few groceries. Not being from this area I had to…read moremap out where I was going to go. I found this Martin's location and made that be my stop. I only needed to get a few things since I knew I would be heading out of town soon and didn't want to grab much that would go bad before I got back home. With the plan in my head, I headed inside to grab my few things. I went up and down aisles, spotting the deals on the shelves. Grabbing things that I saw were on sale and being conscious of my selections. I went up and down aisles to grab items. Each one with a sale ticket on them. With just enough items selected I made my way to the register to pay. Being extremely early in the morning, I went through the self checkout lane. Martin's, being part of Giant, has and uses the same loyalty card. Before I started scanning my items I entered my information for my loyalty card. The machine, in that alarm clock tone, let the whole store know that my loyalty card was accepted. So I kept scanning my items and got to the point that I was ready to pay. However, when I got to that point, none of the deals or prices on the shelves did not show up. Some being the whole point I picked up those items. Being at the self checkout I looked around to find an employee to point out that the prices weren't matching. She came over and asked if I needed assistance and I told her that these prices in the system were not matching the tags on the shelves. She asked me which ones and pulled out their circular. Typically they start their circulars on Thursdays, this being a Monday meant those prices should still stand. Instead of going in and price correcting each item, as there were about a dozen of them that were not matching, she went through and added up the price difference. In the end, she put that in as a store coupon to correct the prices. What made me feel small here was the fact that she asked me if I put in my loyalty reward number. I did, and she definitely was in earshot of the alarm clock announcement. To humor her, I put in my phone number again, and the robotic lady voice once again raised the alarm that my loyalty reward number was accepted. I wish I would have made a better note of each item's price as I am sure I got got with some of the items. Like the cereal I picked up was on sale, but I forgot about that one and got charged full price. If the prices weren't correct, they might want to check their system. Or at the least make sure the price tags on the shelves are correct. I will say, the employees, this early in the morning, are peppy and greet you around every corner.

Freshly prepared with great quality deli meat and fresh veggies. And to say they are overstuffed is an understatement. The awesomely friendly customer service is a plus as well.

Kitchen manager is a nasty person who doesn't care about food or standards. A recent order was…read moremade wrong twice by their kitchen and offered a remake. Wemt to get the remake and they refused to do it. Have observed employees eating food with fingers and then serving food without washing hands or using gloves. Changes to the menu aren't in the big menu and limited to the printed menu-- Store Manager didn't care. On a busy day of pre-orders, the kitchen manager refused to sell fried chicken. Sides are taken out of the hot box and placed in bag as the grill food cooks-- cooling the food. When asked for hot food, I get attitude from the kitchen manager and another employee.
