Instead a seed was planted here and cultivated and up sprung a gas station/convenience store. A common sight along this corridor that connects Pittsburgh to the rest of western Pennsylvania. Speedway has steadily been increasing their presence in the area and usually within distance to create competition with a nearby gas station chain. There is no difference in this area. New Alexandria has been kind of an oasis while driving Route 22 with it's one gas station that was open 24/7. With the addition of this station you now have a choice. Speedway is similar to the competition up the road in several ways. Open 24/7, offers food, and has a wide selection of items that you can grab and go. However this spot has a couple variations. First they offer diesel for the bigger vehicles on the roadways, so the lot is larger. Another is that they offer a sit down area to eat your food. Speaking of the food. Some of the items are heavy on the stomach and others are sparse on the toppings. Quick in the sense that once you order, by the time you pay your items are ready for pick up. One thing I do not like about this place is the fact that you do not seem to get great gas mileage from the fuel. Once I filled up here and went on my way, I basically needed to fuel up the next day. In my travels what would be a complete circuit for me, I used a half a tank of gas. Not great when I usually use much less than that. In the future, I will go elsewhere for fuel for my car, but I may end up stopping in for a quick item of fuel for myself.

For a small road trip, my husband and I needed premium gasoline for our vehicle. We felt relieved to find this Coen Markets and its Amoco gas station on the side of the road. We did not have to wait at all to use a gasoline pump, and the pump worked properly. The price for gasoline was about what other gas stations charge. We did not use the convenience store, but I understand that they sell snack foods, beverages, and kitchen foods such as pizzas and chicken.

For this visit, it was definitely a very unneeded step for me. The card I took with me, they just happened to be out of, however they did have the off brand, which I was fine with. I do have to say that the guy working the pharmacy counter did at least attempt to make it right. Most people would have been over it and just told me they did not have it. He did look over everything they had back there that was similar and let me know what was the case. Saving me from having to back to the aisle and look over the cards for all the other medications. I did not go through the rest of the store, but I could tell that this was set up just like all the other ones out there. The access to the lot is a bit wonky so do be careful when entering/exiting the lot.
