I am giving this store two stars because our experience here was first positive and then negative…read more We arrived late at night on the eve of Veteran's Day for a weekend spent hiking in Blackwater Falls State Park up the street. The young lady who was working Thursday night (11/10/16), "Angel", was as sweet as can be. She welcomed us with a smile and gave us some tips on where to find some place to eat the next day. The next morning, my husband and I returned to the station to pick up some coffee and a quick breakfast. There was a young man behind the register and an older lady in the back by the coffee. Neither one of these employees made eye contact or smiled when we greeted them, but we felt their stares as we got coffee and sat down in a booth to eat a sandwich even though we asked if it was okay to sit down in the booth to eat. We left thinking, maybe they were upset they had to work on a holiday? We returned later that evening to buy some bottled water and another older gentleman was behind the register carrying on a conversation with a young lady about correctional officers in a women's prison who if I am not mistaken had exposed themselves to the female inmates. Whatever, none of my business... I got the merchandise I wanted to buy ready and placed it on the counter once the young lady had left and the counter was clear. I tried to make eye contact with the man at the register and said, "hello, how are you?" but he ignored me and instead rang me up complaining that his scanner would not work properly. As I paid him, again I smiled and tried to engage him but he avoided my efforts. Okay, so why should I care right? I guess where I come from people actually try to be nice if they work in customer service, so it was weird to be totally ignored. Hopefully, "Angel" can find a way to rub some of her pleasant personality off on her coworkers.... Sincerely, Happy to be back home in Virginia

My 2015 Audi Q7 started making a terrible noise as if something was dragging under the vehicle. I was in a pretty remote area by myself with my vehicle packed to the gills with the contents of my son's dorm room. I was lost on a back road following directions to a gas station when a friendly mom waiting at a bus stop for her child suggested I make my way to Love's. It was a stressful 6 mile drive, but I am very grateful for her advice! I arrived at Love's in a stressed state, thinking that I was about to need to call AAA, get towed, unload the entire contents of the vehicle, and maybe stay in a hotel as I was over 2 hours from home. I walked in and asked the first person I saw if there was a mechanic available. Almost immediately, there were 3 employees around me, chatting, asking about what was going on, being supportive, and calling back to Brandon who came to my aid right away. It was clear that there is a policy at Love's that the service department is intended for truck drivers/18 wheelers. It was also clear that Love's employees have the autonomy to help a person in need of help if the situation permits. It took them about 60 seconds to decide to help me. Brandon's only condition was that I remove any Taylor Swift CDs from playing before he checked out the car. This lightened the mood! Brandon checked out my tires, took the car for a short drive in the parking lot, and looked under the hood. He determined that one of my tires was likely slightly misaligned and that the extra load from the dorm contents was causing the tread to hit differently and therefore make this noise. He said that his professional advice (and the advice he would give to his wife/kids) would be to head home, despite the noise, and have the alignment checked within a week or so. He also said that the noise would possibly stop at some point on my drive as the vehicle gradually adjusted to the load. This all turned out to be true! I am home safely, the dorm contents have been unloaded, and I'm about to call my local mechanic to take a look at the alignment. Everyone in this store clearly aligns (no pun intended) with the values that you share on your website: Clean Places, Friendly Faces in each location across the country, every day. My family of origin did not do biscuits and gravy, chicken wings, pizza, pepperoni rolls,.... We delight in the Mountain Pepperoni Roll Trail.... I work in the early mornings and got the burrito before going to work. And the burrito was barely warm. It is bad business practice to charge people money for ingredients that you don't even put inside the burrito and if this keeps happening I highly suggest they get reported to the BBB Sheetz corporate did not reach back out to me after I sent the order number and my experience to them.

Of course I needed to refuel on many levels, I started out for a gas station/convenience store. And with me, you know I needed to see if my favorite one was in the area. Of course there was, and of course I beat feet until I arrived here. It's a newer looking Sheetz, but on a small footprint. It feels pared down, but it also feels as if it fits in perfectly for the area. It is constantly busy, there was a steady flow of people here, it was hard to find a place to park let alone a pump to get gas. What complicates this area a little more is that there is a car wash right behind the Sheetz. As far as I can tell, it is not owned by Sheetz. In order to access the car wash you need to drive through the Sheetz parking lot. On top of that, when everyone wants a car wash I am sure this is probably a horrible place to be. Inside I made my rounds. Used the facilities, super clean. Browsed the shelves for a snack, they were aplenty. Grabbed a drink from the cooler, make sure to pay attention to pricing, sometimes there are deals. Made my way to pay and this was one of the most pleasant interactions I had all day. The lady behind the counter was so chipper and greeted everyone as if she knew every single person that walked in here.
