I love stopping by sheetz when I am in NC. This is like the better version of both AMPM & 7-11 combined. The gas prices are super reasonable and plenty of pumps. The inside is huge. They have made to order food so everything is fresh. They make salads, wings, burritos and so much more and the portions are huge and the prices are incredible. The bathrooms are always clean and the customers service never fails. The is definitely my go to for snacks and gas. read more

I have heard about fast food joints operating in gas stations and was eager to give Sheetz a try. The ordering system is really unique, with multiple digital kiosks set up for orders. Once the order is placed, there was about a 5-10 min wait before I got my food, but everything came out hot. The fries bucket was massive, but I was a bit disappointed to see that the fries were a bit soggy. The appetizer sampler was really interesting,s ince I got to try some fried mac and cheese bites as well as onion rings, and cheese curds. The cheese curds were the best part of the sampler, although it was a bit too salty. The fried onions were a unique take on onion rings, but lacked seasoning. I also tried the burger and the chicken sandwich; however only the chicken sandwich was edible. I really like that there were toppings with the sandwiches, such as lettuce and onions. The chicken sandwich was crispy and reasonably priced. The burger, however, had a patty that tasted frozen and spongy almost reminiscent of a burger I had in a hospital cafeteria once. I love Sheetz! It took a while to grow on me, since where I'm from, we have Wawa's. But I really do like it here. I love that you can put air in your tires for free and this one is never too busy to where you're waiting forever in a line. The lattes are pretty good and so is the food. It's made fast and hot. The staff is always really nice to talk with and very friendly. The store is also really organized. Its also in a great place so you can fill up tight before you get on the road. read more

I don't ever tend to give reviews, but this is the one exception I'll give. I came here a week or two ago and ordered my usual, two hot dogs, ketchup and mustard, and a cup of fries. This doesn't seem to bode any complications, however, after driving off, I soon found my fries were missing. No bother, I get it, some people have these days. Well, it's noon today, I order the exact same thing, check my fries are there, all is well with the world. Halfway home I find my hot dogs are completely wrong, and upon further inspection, the bag that my order was used for had the wrong orders hot dogs inside of it. Not every meal has to be a pageant... and when you catch a flight that arrives at RDU after midnight on a weekday, well, you aren't going to have a lot of options for a quick meal on your way home. Enter Sheetz, one of the few places where you can stop, actually sit down, and put something that qualifies as food in your belly. I was pretty much the only person at this location at 1 in the morning other than the occasional person popping in quickly grabbing a drink or some cigarettes while they refill their gas tank. I certainly was the only one asking for some hot food. While I did hear a couple grumbles from the kitchen when I put my order in, nothing about the meal was substandard compared to a normal say lunchtime Sheetz visit. My cheeseburger was OK, fries were tasty enough, and the cream cheese jalapeno poppers were really good. Yeah, it's all junk food, but what did you expect from a weary traveler? When they were building this location I didn't know how it would fit, the area seemed so small. Now that it's open it works just fine. The layout coming in is a little different as you have to drive around the entire building to get to the gas pumps, which can get a little hairy when it's busy, just a heads up. The employees are always super friendly and helpful. They offer some things that others don't, like self serve soft serve ice cream with add your own toppings too. The rest of the food and drinks are pretty standard. Pick up a free Sheetz reward card at the register and start earning with every purchase in the store and at the pumps. Also get three cents off per gallon of gas when you swipe it at the pump. It really adds up quickly! read more

Horrible place. My car charger isn't working in my car so I took my charger in to charge my phone for a minute in the dining area so that I could buy what I needed at the store as well with my phone. My boyfriend went to the bathroom and I grabbed the wrong charger so he went to the bathroom and I left my phone there and quickly walked out and back in with the right cable and was told I couldn't leave my phone charging and I politely explained what was going on and for some reason that was unacceptable. But the people outside asking me for money before I could even get to the door was no problem. Why have outlets at the tables if you don't want anyone charging their phones. She refused to give me her name and wasn't wearing a nametag. Told me good luck figuring out hef name. So I couldn't sleep, so I got up to go get some chicken from Sheetz as I do every blue moon. I ordered my food through the app and got there, paid and waited like a good minute or two which is fine, a lot of people work at night or are just are up at those hours. The first time they called my name noticed my food was completely wrong & spoke on it. The second time It was great, BUT the second time he handed me my food. I noticed a cut & blood on his hand. I was so disgusted I literally almost gagged! I've been a fan of the gas station hot food concept for 30 years, think AM/PM hamburgers and hotdogs with the toppings bar, 7/11 and Circle K when they were actually good. Walking into Sheetz for my first time tonight, I knew right away, that I had reached the top of the gas station hot food chain. So many interesting made fresh items to choose from, I had a hard time deciding. Finally went with the tacos, order of fries and some sliders. Paired that with a few cans of IPA beer from the great selection in the cooler, and for about $14 I had a great experience! Food was hot good flavor. Loved all the sauce/condiment options. Perfect place to grab some good comfort food and chill back at hotel!! Can't wait to visit again and try some more things on the menu!! read more

Amazing customer service. I am a regular and I have come here almost every other day and each time, I am amazed by how nice and happy and positive everyone is. They have never messed up my sandwiches or my coffee orders. The employees make chit chat with you when it's not busy. They are amazing. That's why I keep coming back. Literally ordered mozzarella sticks and a sandwich at 1:50AM. I get that it's late but no one else was there and it still took 25 minutes! I work in the industry myself so I won't hesitate to say that's absolutely ridiculous. This is a nice new Sheetz! They only opened a few days ago, so everything is sparkly and fresh. There are a few nice differences between this Sheetz and others in the area, like the soft serve machines and toppings (slowly rolling out across the chain, but they're not everywhere yet), variety of sweet slushy drinks, and a large seating area where you can eat your meal. When we were there, they also had the cheapest gas in the area. Like all Sheetz, you can get an extra 3 cent discount per gallon of gas with their loyalty card. read more

I've been waiting for this Sheetz to open since it is now the closest one to my house! There are a few things at this Sheetz that I've never seen at any other location. There is a self-serve ice cream kiosk with a complete DIY sundae bar with all the toppings you could want. There's also a line of slushie machines with at least 10 different flavors. For dine-in options, there are about 6 tables outside all with umbrellas. Inside you'll find plenty of seating both tables and some comfy chairs. I only wish I hadn't gotten gas earlier in the day because prices were at least 20 cents less here! read more

Simply a phenomenal gas station/c-store. Similar to Wawa, Sheetz really premiumizes the whole experience, most notably in the c-store. Sheetz opps to focus more on quick serve dessert and beverage options, boasting a soft serve station and a giant wall of drink fountain. Worth a stop if you need grass. read more
