Well hallelujah! Nick Fetherolf, the general manager of…read morethe Polaris Swensons has finally gotten Swensons returned to its former Akron area glory. Okay people. Start eating at Swensons! You wont be sad you did! Why???? Since my last written review, I've been to this location three times since this review. And let me tell you each of those three times everything has been perfect. The car cops are again actually running! They are supposed to do this. It ensures your food is delivered quick and timely no unnecessary long waits. This made me happy So happy. But what made me happier? They have finally got the right flavor of their signature burgers. A Swensons burger should have a little bit of sweetness to it. It did!!! The bun should always be fresh. It should have a little bit of butter grilled onto it. It should come out to you warm. It was. The lettuce should be crisp, green. It was! . There should be enough cheese on it to taste cheese. The cheese ratio was ideal. The past three trips this has been exactly what I have experienced. I was thinking it was a fluke, but its not. This manager has finally gotten things running sloothly. not only have the car cops run, but the burgers have been flawless, even down to the extra bacon, nice and crispy, but not overcooked and the grilled onions have been grilled perfect perfectly Color me impressed The staff at the Polaris location is excellent Big shout out to Owen the carhop that I had today. Thank you for helping me. I enjoyed my trip in.

I got the chicken club and powerhouse salad for $12, which was enough for 2 small meals. The club was good, with chicken breast, bacon and I pot hot peppers, tomato and lettuce with the spicy bbq sauce, not too much bread - just the right amount. The salad was solid too, tons of toppings. The service was fine for fast casual. The ambiance is as expected for fast casual. I was pleasantly surprised and would go again!

It's been a minute since I've been here, and honestly, I forgot how good it is. I went all in with the Chicken Pot Pie Soup, Mama's Meatball sandwich with peppers, and a bag of Zapp's Hot Pepper chips--because moderation is for people who don't love flavor. The Chicken Pot Pie Soup? Well, let's just say it leaned more "cream of chicken" than "pot pie." The crusty topping... I'm not sure what sorcery that was, but it had the texture of something between a crouton and a pulverized Ritz cracker that lost its way. Not bad, just... confusing. cracker The Mama's Meatball, though, stole the show. Delicious, saucy, and stacked like it's proud of itself. The peppers gave it just the right kick. And Zapp's chips? Always a chaotic good choice. Overall, great lunch, great company, and a reminder that Potbelly still knows how to make comfort food without overcomplicating it. Would I come back? Absolutely. Just maybe I'll skip the soup--or bring a pie crust of my own next time.

A wise person once told me "Carla, looks aren't everything." Let's be real here, when it comes to…read morefood and people, looks help. People like pretty things. I like my food to look just as good as it tastes, with the exception of Skyline Chili. My better half had a hankering for chili and because I didn't feel like putting up a fight, because I get to choose where we are going for dinner, I let him have Skyline (and let him get me some). Wife of the year. He got the order to go. I asked for two chili cheese sammies, no mustard or onion. When I opened the box there were three. He said "Well, if you don't eat the third, I will." Looks aren't everything, because If they were I probably wouldn't have eaten these. They didn't look awful, but they also didn't look great. Prior to eating them, I thought, "Nope, I'm only going to eat one and a half, maybe two, but definitely not three." I bit into the first sandwich, then proceeded to eat all three. The aroma of cinnamon, chili, garlic, flew through the air. The chili was rich, topped with a ton of shredded cheese. Skyline Chili is a Greek recipe, and you can tell that by the notes of cinnamon in their recipe. It was pretty reminiscent of the chili I grew up eating. I didn't leave an extra sammie for my husband. Oops. Apparently my pep talks are worthless. Pros: -Taste of the Chili -Notes of cinnamon -Soft buns -Mountains of cheese Cons: -My pep talks -My self control -The way the sammie looked Tip: If you're not a fan of hot dogs, get just a chili sammie. Looks aren't everything.

Skyline Chili is originally from Cincinnati I believe, but they do have a few locations around the Columbus metro area, so it worked out perfectly for us. There is a drive through, but what's odd is that there is also a proper sit-down restaurant on the inside too. It's not even your normal fast food experience of ordering at the counter and then waiting for your food and sitting down to eat. No, it's actual waiters and a dining room where they seat you and come to you to take your order and bring your food. I've heard a ton about both the Skyline spaghetti and chili dog, so naturally I got both to try! The chili definitely tastes unlike any chili I've ever had. Very cinnamon-y, but pleasant! The hot dog was fine, the spaghetti was also fine. Nothing remarkable, but it was just something I had wanted to check off my list...and now I have! There are a ton of different sizing options for whatever you might want to get. If you like the acquired taste of this chili, then I'm sure you'd enjoy coming here frequently. Service was prompt and everyone we interacted with was lovely!

My friend and I stopped here for dessert after visiting IKEA while in Columbus from out of town. We…read morewere looking for a dessert spot and decided to give this place a try. I am a big fan of frozen yogurt in traditional, soft, serve ice cream, so I thought we would really enjoy this place. It's located in a busy shopping plaza and was quite crowded when we arrived. The shop specializes in only different flavors of soft serve, although it is not self serve. I tried the strawberry and peanut butter, soft serve with sprinkles, and my friend tried the traditional vanilla. The prices were very reasonable for ice cream, with a kids dish, being four dollars and a regular dish being five. Unfortunately, I really did not enjoy the consistency of this soft serve. It was not like anything I had ever had, with a cross between traditional, soft serve, a whipped topping you would find on a birthday cake, and a custard. I ended up eating the sprinkles off of mine and then throwing the rest away. My friend also remarked that the consistency was very strange and felt somewhat chemical to her, but she did finish her entire cup. I definitely would not return because I did not enjoy the consistency of this product, but it was very crowded, so I have to believe that other people do enjoy this, and maybe it was just me being picky.

This cute little ice cream shop definitely cured my sweet tooth. Quick service and very nice decor.read more
