Before he even started, he walked me through exactly what he was going to do and why. We had a great conversation the entire time, which made the experience even better. When he finished and handed me the mirror, I was genuinely relieved. My haircut looked great, and I finally felt confident again. What really stood out to me was that Anthony didn't even want to charge me because he was fixing another barber's mistake. That says a lot about his character. I insisted on paying him because his time and skill are valuable, and he absolutely earned it. He gained a loyal customer today, and I'll definitely be coming back. When we did: no cancellation unless they filled the slot, and no refund of the price difference if we switched to a cheaper haircut -- his reasoning being that a haircut "takes longer." We showed up anyway, and another family arrived for a mundan at our exact time slot. Asked for the refund again. Suddenly their appointment was "15 minutes later" and he'd just told them to come early. He agreed in person to refund the difference, then flatly denied saying it once the haircut was done -- a haircut that took less time than a mundan. He also used the same equipment from his adult clients on our 16-month-old without changing or sanitizing it. Goalposts moved at every step, zero accountability, and rude about it with young kids standing right there. Don't prepay.
