I have blonde hair and went in to get highlights and also add a few lowlights for dimension. She didn't do any highlights and when I sat in front of the mirror after washing my hair was brown with blonde blotches. After being there for 4hours they tried to fix it by stripping my hair and adding literally 6 highlights on top. My hair is still brown with an orange tint. I cannot emphasize how terrible my experience was and how they tried to downplay it. They offered to "fix" it if I wanted to go back in (for hours) but you can see from the pictures what a "fix" looks like. I've never posted a negative review on here until today. I cannot emphasize how terrible the overall experience was and still told that I had to pay.

However, when my friend and I arrived, the receptionist was unkind and unhelpful, treating us differently than other customers who received a warmer welcome. I had my nails done by Maria, who was lovely, but I noticed she seemed uneasy and kept mentioning time, which added to the tension. At the end of our visit, I asked the receptionist why the salon felt so rigid, suggesting that a more welcoming approach could help attract more loyal customers. Unfortunately, she became defensive and argumentative rather than engaging in a constructive conversation. While the stylists were great, the overall customer service, especially towards those who might be perceived as different, was disappointing.

The receptionist was nice and friendly as well as everyone else. My hair washer was nice but nearly scrubbed my head to death, she was scrubbing really hard that it hurt, thankfully she asked if it was to hard and she eased down a bit. But she didn't use a detangling shampoo on my hair therefore it tangled all up. She asked me if my hair tangles this much and I told her not usually because I use a detangling shampoo and I always comb my hair out before washing it which she never did which resulted in my hair being a big tangled mess after she washed it. When she was trying to comb it out I could tell she was having a hard time and she tried ripping my hair apart which I could hear my strands of hair being pulled apart and she did not finish getting the tangles out of my hair before putting me in the dryer for a deep conditioning. My hair washer was black like me so I would have thought she would understand how to wash my hair properly. Oh and some of the shampoo actually smelled like smarties candy, lol. My hairdresser Amanda was really cool, she blew my hair really straight to where it already looked press, so I really liked that. Amanda's work if very articulate she really takes the time to make sure she does everything to near perfection. She did a good job on trimming my ends, although I really didn't care for the hairstyle. But for $25 it was nice to get my hair washed and straighten. The flat iron left my hair smelling a little burnt. They use Aveda hair care products which worked on my hair nice. So all in all, for the first time I think they did good, I think I will try them again in the future maybe. Update: they used my contact info to send me emails which I never agreed to, as well as text messages. I hate when companies do this, it's quite annoying.

Everywhere I called, they either didn't do little girls hair or they were waaay over priced (two braids to the back $80-85... what da what! Oh no!) After wanting to give up, I decided to try just one more time. I ended up calling this shop. She (the owner) answered the phone professionally (unlike the ones before) I told her what service I needed and she told that the braider wasn't working that day. So I let out a sigh of frustration. She then said to me that she's going to call in get the braider in for me and that she'll call me back. To my surprise, she came through. She set me an appointment for later on that day so that my baby could take her pics the next day. Reasonable priced. I arrived to the appointment and the environment was very welcoming (even the clients were too as well) and the braider didn't get frustrated doing my busy body hair. She took her time, asked for my opinions and made my daughter like her. As I was sitting and watching other clients get their hair done, I decided that I too will be back for me an updo and so will my baby girl. Can't believe I've been passing this shop up.
