I needed to have my hair colored and trimmed at the very last minute so I decided to call Supercuts and luckily they were able to get me in the very next day. The last time I was there I had my hair dyed a little darker than my actual natural hair color and really didn't think it was a good fit for me after a while. Once I arrived I was greeted by Lucy and after going over a few things with her she showed me a color that was closer to my natural hair color and I decided to do it. When she was done with my hair I was so happy with how it turned out and how she styled it!! The color was perfect!! I highly recommend Lucy, especially as a hair colorist!! It all started when took my aunt for a haircut. While I was waiting for my aunt, I saw another stylist, Celia, cutting a gentleman's hair and she impressed me with how she was cutting his hair. When she finished, I decided to ask her if she could take a look at my terrible haircut from another salon. Celia didn't hesitate to look at my current haircut and sat me down in her chair and did an amazing job on fixing the horrible haircut I walked in with. I can't say enough good things about her professionalism, customer service and also her knowledge of hair. Celia is my new go to person in the future. I needed a haircut and went with a stylist I didn't know as mine was not in. Mona did great until the end. When I said I just wanted the bottom of the sideburns lined, I should have said don't touch them. She made them look worse. I felt like there was no care when lining up my sideburns, neck and around my ears. Very rushed, and I could tell she made a mistake and tried to fix it. I walked out of there with no sideburns and they're are so in-even I will have to cut one even shorter. The most important part of the hair cut was failed. I urge the managers and DM's to go in and get hair cuts from all their stylists. If they don't trust their employees with their hair why should I? Super upsetting as I shouldn't have to worry about walking out with a bad haircut, and now I will. read more

I have very thick, very curly natural African-American hair. I write this review knowing I can be troublesome for stylists everywhere. I called ahead of time to ask if there was anyone who specializes in African-American natural hair who could flat iron my hair and trim my ends. I stressed that it was time consuming and difficult hair. I was assured that anyone in the salon had the skill and would be happy to take care of me. When I walked in there were only two stylists in the salon, and the one who walked to the register looked at me with fright. When I told her what I came for, she kept looking at my hair with disgust and exasperation, and outwardly expressed that she did not want to be the one stuck with doing my hair. She quoted me a price, $70 because of the amount of time it would take to straighten it but I was no longer interested. I know I don't have nice, easy, straight hair. I'd like to find a stylist who at least has enough professionalism to not make me feel like I'm just a pain in the ass because I choose not to use a relaxer. If you're a black woman STAY AWAY from this place! They treat black women with natural hair like we are the plague and it's too much time or may be just turned off to do our hair. I left this shop in tears because I know I was being discriminated against after they I called in to confirm my appointment(I also inquired they service black natural hair they confirmed they did)I came and waited 30 min just to be told they wouldn't service me. Great service for a way lower cost than your basic hair cut at the salon. I got the tea tree treatment added to me hair cut service and it was amazing! I've got mixed emotions about this location. Great experiences with Kristie & Kathy but also had horrible experiences with Mona and Bria. Mona did a terrible job on my daughter and then told her it's because what she wanted would look bad and blamed her, she had to have it fixed elsewhere. Bria was extremely inexperienced with cutting my toddlers hair today and seemed annoyed with having to cut it. The cut came out so bad, crooked and not at all what I asked for. I went to Super Cuts first when I was a teenager. After my stylist left I stopped going. But after years of struggling to find a good stylist who can help cover up my thinning hair (on a women) Martina is the one. They where able to fit me in the day before Thanksgiving with no hassle. Martina did a great job on my hair cut and it really help with my thinning hair. Its still thin but less noticeable. Great price, great service, I will be coming back! read more

I have been going to this Supercuts for a few years, and up until now haven't had a bad thing to say. But this last time I went, might very well be the last time I go. I came in without an appointment, didn't request a specific stylist because it was a Sunday and busy. I recognized 3 stylists and did not recognize the 4th. As I was waiting a 5th stylist came out of the back and called me to her station. While she was asking what I wanted, she seemed to be slurring her words and kept closing her eyes. She stood behind me for a moment, we were both looking into the mirror and she stood still for a few moments with her eyes closed. I asked "Are you OK?" She jumped as if I just woke her up, and slurred, "Yeah, I'm fine...I was just deep in thought." At this time I am questioning her ability, wondering if she is just tired, is she drunk, high or having some sort of stroke or seizure. She tells me to follow her to wash my hair. The whole time she washed my hair, she was leaning into my head, closing her eyes...stopping occasionally. It was really bizarre. We walked back to her station and she started combing my hair. She couldn't get the part straight, kept fumbling with the comb. She was trying to make small talk, but she was slurring her words. She took the scissors and started to cut along the back of my hair. I heard the scissors open and close a few times before she actually cut my hair, then she cut a small section and then stood completely still, with her eyes closed. I went to turn around to see if she was ok, and then she jolted again, like she was woken from a deep sleep and looks at me and says "WHAT?" I said you just fell asleep. IT WAS THE WIERDEST THING EVER!! I kept expecting John Quinones from the tv program What Would You Do, to come out, or like someone was pulling a prank on me. I asked to speak to a manager. A woman came over, and I told her briefly what happened and she had another stylist cut my hair. She took the other girl in the back, and they came back out and the girl left. Like I said, I don't know if she was tired, drunk or some sort of medical condition. But the girl left on her own accord, not even sure if she was fit to drive. And not another thing was mentioned to me. It was really strange and made me feel very uncomfortable read more
