I started going to Shear Creations about eight years ago. I have always with previous hairdressers liked to set up my schedule a year in advance. Amanda was very accommodating with my schedule. She is very professional and always does a great job. I would recommend her for anyone who has hair questions or just needs a new hairstylist. read more

Friendly and clean salon. I love how they did my hair each and every time. Good prices too. I found my hair dresser.

Amanda is AMAZING!! I have been searching for the right connection with a hair stylist for the last couple of years. I found Amanda through Yelp and was able to get in within just a few days of calling for an appointment. I was pleasantly greeted by my name when I walked into the salon. Amanda listened to my "issues" and talked about a plan to get the right results. We had lovely conversation the entire appointment. Nice as 2 small business owners to get to bounce ideas / things we have both tried off each other. I love the finished results of my cut and color. Great salon, personable staff, and I am so happy I found Amanda. Amanda I will see you soon! :) read more

If I could give amanda 10 stars I would. I came here to do hair updo and make up for my ball tonight... well let me tell you this is the best make up and hair updo I've had in these past 2 years. Perfect hair dye touch up and blowout with flat ironing. Place is clean, staff is nice. I would def come back when back in town.

I had a coupon and decided to try this salon. Amanda, the owner, cut and styled my hair. I was very pleased with the style. Amanda did an excellent job. My hair looked great!! I received many compliments. The price was extremely reasonable. My hair continued to look good even as it grew in. The salon was very clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this salon. I am now a "regular"! read more

Post the worst of covid I lost contact with my former stylist and had the pleasure of discovering Amanda. She has great talent in cutting and making one look their best. I have a new stylist and give my unqualified recommendations as I get compliments on my hair. Thank you Amanda and I am happy to be a client. read more

This is the second time I've gone to Shear Creations. Amanda was so awesome! She cut my hair exactly how I wanted it and even suggested a couple of things that really made my cut perfect. Thank you Amanda. read more

After trying to call three times during the day at different times; It is 3:37 pm and the place is closed when their hours are 9am to 5 pm for a Saturday. I'm standing outside the door: One man has his back turned away from the door, another lady is washing hair. I knocked as a courtesy to make sure they are actually closed since there are people in there and the lady was screaming at me from the hair washing station, as the man continues with his back facing towards me doesn't even flinch. Unfortunately first impressions mean everything. Not impressed since this Place was recommended by a lady I know at work. No thank you! read more

Amanda is amazing! Super nice and gave me a fantastic cut. I will definitely be coming back.

Best haircut I've had in a long time. I've been looking for a hairdresser for at least six months. Amanda was recommended by a friend. I saw her cut and color and loved it. So I thought I'd give it a try since I needed a cut bad. And I'm glad I did. She knew exactly what I wanted just by explaining what I liked. She was fast, friendly and professional. And prices are very reasonable. Will definitely be a regular customer and recommend Shear Creations. read more

I actually found this place through one of their advertisements so I was a little sceptical, but I was needing to get an appointment right away and I also didn't want to break the bank. Amanda did my color and she honored the coupon special they were running that week. Not only did she do an amazing job on my hair with the color, but also used products leaving it shiny and soft. My hair is generally very dry. I looked like I had a complete new look when I left the salon. I was extremely pleased! Amanda not only knows her profession, but is very sweet, easy to talk with, listens and delivers to your salon needs, and is very professional, as well as reasonable in her pricing. I most definitely would recommend her to your child, sister, aunt, son, brother, dad, husband, daughter, or mother...young to old. read more

I do not remember my stylist name right now but I do know she is Amanda's (another stylist) mother . Well she did an amazing job with my hair. I go to salons a lot with my crazy hair color ideas and decided to give this place a shot to cover my unicorn hair with a very nice black, she took really good care of me, gave me a haircut that I absolutely love! And my color you ask?...it's absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Thank you so much! Will be coming back. read more

I had a coupon for this salon so I took a chance on a cut and color. The owner Amanda was a true delight and very skilled. I was so pleased with every aspect of my service, and my hair looked amazing when she was done. Ive gone back 3 times and have always been happy. The salon is clean and pretty and prices are very reasonable, not off the charts like some salons. One thing I like to note is Amanda was very perceptive about my moods. Sometimes I'm chatty and she follows my lead. Other days I like to be quiet, she doesn't force conversation like some stylists do. read more

I usually go to Rialto to get my hair done but didn't have the time to make it up there. I yelped different hair salons and finally narrowed it down to Shear Creations. I made an appointment with Amanda and I was not disappointed. She blew it out the water. The touch up on my cut was amazing and I will definitely be going back. I was very impressed. Who knows I may not be going to Rialto to get my hair done anymore. Thanks Amanda. YOU ROCK!!!! read more

I went to see Amanda for a cut and color and was amazed. My hair was very dry and damaged but she managed to bring it back to life. While I was there, my son needed a haircut. I was a bit leary to have her cut it because he's very picky and I usually take him to one of those expensive hipster barbershops and we hadn't had much success at other salons. She did an awesome job and both my son and I were not disappointed. read more

I brought my three year old son here for a hair cut with out an appointment and the stylist was awesome! She had another client scheduled but she had not shown up yet, so she quickly cut his hair. Amanda was not in a very good mood today. I was a new client. No greeting, no smile, stone-faced the entire time. She snapped at a sweet handyman fixing a ceiling tile, saying she didn't have time for him to use up two minutes putting the ceiling tile back in place, that she had a client in 30 minutes. She asked me if I needed a shampoo-- uh Yeah, my hair hadn't been washed in two days. Borderline uncivil. Haircut was adequate. Salon itself kinda crappy. There are better places. read more

I've been going to Amanda since she got her license, I don't even know how long its been. Maybe 10 years? Crazy to think that. I use to see her at a shop near my house. But now she has an amazing shop in Oceanside and I make the drive. She always does amazing highlights. I use to wear my hair super short and she was always so wonderful about cutting it. She will always give her honest opinion if I walk in with some crazy idea. I get lots of compliments on my color and style. Thank you Amanda for being my stylist and a friend! XOXO read more

I never post bad reviews, and I'm hoping this stylist was just having a bad day, but I received THE worst haircut I have ever had. Extremely choppy, not blended at all and definitely not what I asked for. Left the salon very unhappy and will not be returning. read more

I had my hair colored by Amanda and LOVE it! It was a color correction, I was asking for a specific brown and the prior salon had a hard time getting that so I tried Amanda's salon. She was so nice and did such an amazing job! I will NEVER go anywhere else. She is a color Angel! read more

I tried to go from brown and purple to blond at home. I had gone from brown to blond before so I didn't expect a problem. I didn't take into account the purple. My roots turned blond but the rest of my hair turned this ugly olive green color. I was freaking out. I made it worse by applying an ash color which made my hair greener. It was Sunday night so I had to wait until Monday to call salons. I called several after looking at some reviews on yelp and most salons were closed on Monday. I called Shear Creations and they answered! They were able to schedule me for Tuesday morning! Thanh looked at my hair, showed me colors (really I would have been happy with anything none green) and went to work. She worked for 3 hours on my hair. My hair is porous and dry from years of dying my hair. She had to use 3 different mixtures to fix different portions of my hair. She is very detailed oriented and patient. I felt so embarrassed about what I had done to my hair but she made me feel comfortable. I really liked the color I ended up with. She wasn't 100% satisfied (I was) but she didn't want to further damage my hair. She also cut my hair, my ends were frayed. The length was a bit shorter than I would have liked but I'm sure it was necessary. I would have paid twice as much and spent twice the amount of time anywhere else. She did a great job! I will definitely return to her for my hair color needs. Thanks Thanh! read more

So glad I found Amanda. She is so pleasant and always gives a great haircut. Thanks Amanda.

I needed my hair done asap! Went to my regular salon they had no openings. I just happened to Google places near my house and found Shear Creations. Amanda took me in right away. I had partial highlights done. She did an amazing job! She was quick and officiant! The awesome part was she charged 1/2 of what I would have paid at my regular salon. Shear Creations has a new customer for life. I totally recommend this place. read more

When I first walk in this beuty shop for a haircut! I never expected it to be now "one of my favorite salon shop in town. I first saw and read Yelp'* according to reviews, there I come and check 1 day, BOY! It is very true. The shop is very clean lots of parking as well. Amanda who now my favorite girl is very understanding about what you want not what she wants in how you wanted it done. She listens and patiently and her hands are very light unlike some. " I fall asleep all the time she does my hair;-)" and I am very Picky. Price is also right for a great service she does. Thank's Amanda;-) and see you soon! read more
