Not only did she do exactly what I asked for (which I have to say NOT a lot of stylists know what they're doing unless they've been doing it a long time), but she was GREAT!!! Wonderful, clean atmosphere. She was professional, friendly, kind and KNOWS what she's doing!! THANK YOU!! Can't wait to go back!

People are always quick to submit bad reviews or issues and act complacent in the situation. I will…read moresay there have been plenty of times I have seen (and have been the guilty party) where people are an issue and then try to turn it around on the employee or conveniently leave out their copability. Long lead in, I know. Several months back I was in need of a touch up and was not able to get over to the place I normally do. So I stopped in to the Great Clips Tanglewood and received one of the worst haircuts I have had in a long time. I did not say anything at that time to the person because I could see she was some type of management and did not want a confrontation. Also, I cannot put the hair back. I brought this to the Corporate site instead of trying to talk to someone locally. I wanted to bring the issue to the comapny that this person is representing. Not a personal attack, just a heads up. I was contacted by the owner and appreciated that, but advised I did not want anything compensation wise, I really just wanted to advise the owner and the brand that this was who was representing you. I provided pictures and background, but at that point I was done with it. I thought it finished, but was then contacted by another employee who had seen my post and who had actually cut my hair years ago at another location. She took it upon herself to reach out to me and offer to make this right if she could. Although I advised her of the same thing, that I was not looking for free or anything like that. She advised me that she did not want this to represent Great Clips and advised me that if I ever wanted to come by and give them another try that she would take care of me. Well, I took a chance and did that today and was a plesant surprise. Not only was it fantastic customer service and discussion; but my hair came out exactly as I wanted it. The person that reached out looks to be the Manager at the Valley View location but I do not want to plaster her name all over the internet, just as I did not to the other person at the Tanglewood location. Even better was the amount of people that also came in and were looking to have her take are of them. This locations vibe was also much better. It had business, was welcoming, and the staff was attentive and polite. This has turned my around to coming back to Great Clips. To the other person that originally destroyed my head. I wish you no harm. I wish you no ill will. I hope that you come back to that place in your heart that got you into this field in the first place and that you can find joy in it again.

My hair color was a light brown with golden/red undertones. I had spoken with my sister who is a cosmetologist as well as two other friends who work at hair salons and they all told me that what I wanted would be easy to have done and not be that expensive. I went into InStyle for the first time for my appointment with Jesse. I let her know what I wanted thinking there would be no issue and she immediately took on a very argumentative tone with me regardless of the polite tone that I speak to everyone in. She has no respect for her clients or their wishes whatsoever. I ended up getting a drab basic dark brown all-over color which costed my $125. Back in Jan. I had the same exact service done, an all-over color and cut, at Younique (which I suggest you go to instead) and it was only $95 and the service was infinitely better. I don't enjoy being yelled at by someone who I am paying - she honestly created a scene. I wish I had the guts to grab my bag and walk out the door the first time she started raising her voice and and talking to me so fast and aggressive. Also, I asked for an inch or two off my ends and she only dusted them with a minimal trim. I have never had this problem anywhere as most stylists cut off too much but I barely felt or saw the scissors touch my hair. She said this was because my hair was healthy, however part of her reasoning in not wanting to do the blonde pieces was that it would leave my hair damaged. I told her I had tried blondes in my hair before and it took the process well but she likely wasn't listening to me. Unbelievable. The other ladies that work there seemed like they would have given me equally unsatisfying service. This is honestly a horrible salon. The pictures on Google make it look ritzy and inviting but it is absolute trash I tell you.
