For some reason, I was having some issues with sensors in my car popping up on the dashboard. I took it in, they looked at it, quickly gave me a fresh loaner, brand new XC40 (man that thing is zippy!), and I was on my way. The new sensor delivery took longer than expected, this was around the holiday times, and Juan Mesa at customer service kept me updated perfectly. He expected quicker turnaround, told me the bad news when there was a delay, didn't sugar coat it, and just kept me up to date. We are getting the car back today, and I don't know if I explained it properly, but Juan's overall demeanor and just being on top if it was refreshing, as most companies aren't like that these days!!! I came into his shop with my newly purchased but not so new Subaru 2005 STi. I immediately said to him "I want 800 horsepower and be able to drive my car daily and I want to rally it on the weekends." Needless to say he laughed at me, made me sit in his office and we started on a more realistic plan for my car. Had I gone to some other mechanic I would have dumped a whole bunch of money that was needless or gotten shafted. He will guide you and let you know what you need for what and he'll try to save you money on the side as well. Plus I can tell you that Ive never seen another mechanic who takes pride in his shop. Everything is properly placed, clean and quite organized which means he doesnt fool around looking for tool rather than fixing cars. He is an excellent talker; a great con-man, but truly does not care about you at all and is just trying to get as much money out of you, even with all of his "discounts." I came here for an oil change and he said that all of the fluids were checked and filled, but the windshield washer was empty when I left. He said that there was a leak in my transmission fluid, and to come back every month to fill it up because it was a sign my transmission was going. I was paranoid that I would need a new transmission. I was feeling salty about him lying about the windshield fluid so I didn't go back for a top off. Instead, when I needed some other work done I found a great shop through yelp called LEON'S GARAGE and took it there. Denis at Leon's checked the fluid and it was still full, but because of this concern Mitch at Longlife planted, Denis at Leon's recommended I take it to Quality Transmissions. Quality Transmissions test drove it with the computer/sensor plugged in and there was NOTHING wrong with the transmission. Shame on you, Mitch at Longlife!
