Their classic cheesesteak is probably closing to being the best in the valley. The moment you walk in, you feel welcomed. Big open space with plenty of seating feels warm and inviting. The only reason I took a star away from what would be a perfect 5 is the location. Town Square is a great area, but if you ONLY want to get a sandwich, you'll have to park outside the mall and then walk to the location which is kind of a miss if the area gets busy. read more

Okay, let's start with the fact that this is probably the best cheesesteak I have ever had. The flavor is off the CHARTS!!! The meat is clearly as high quality as it gets. Super creamy bites, with insanely delicious bread. The bad?! Fries and the sandwich with a small tip was $30 bucks and the sub wasn't even 12 inches. However the flavor was out fucking standing...so still worth it. I'm happy to report I found the best Philly cheese steak sandwiches right here in Vegas. My husband and son got the special and I got the classic. I originally was going to get a salad but they were out of lettuce. They let me change it to the classic without making me pay the difference. I wasn't very hungry so was only planning to eat light but damn the sandwich was so well made and had so much flavor. The bread was perfectly toasty and I did not find the meat greasy. Everything was freshly made and we were all very happy with our food. I will say the fries were not as crispy as I like them and I would pass on adding those next time. We've been wanting to check this place out and see what the hype was about.. we love cheesesteaks so we had to know. They are located in Town Square on Las Vegas Boulevard right next to the AMC Theatre. There is no sign on the outside of the building but there was a sandwich board on the sidewalk in front. We entered and instead of being greeted by someone behind the counter we were greeted with three self ordering kiosks. We ordered a classic cheesesteak and anxiously awaited for it to be ready. The cook working the grill dud not have a hat or hairnet. Our order came up in a timely manner and the cheesesteak was hot and flavorful. The steak was larger and clumpier pieces than I'm used to in a cheesesteak but it was seasoned well and tasted great; the texture was just different, I'm used to the shaved ribeye. We ordered a classic sandwich and some fries. I liked the fries a lot and they reminded me of Five Guys fries but with a lot more seasoning. The sandwich was pretty good but I'm not a fan of the sesame seeds on the bread and there's a lot of them. They surprisingly gave me some mayo with the sandwich and I ended up using it and really liked it. The meat was good quality. A few things that can improve are the dangerous front door that slams very loudly and they need to have some ice for their bottled drinks. Really yummy and good flavor with a lot of meat! This place is in town square next to Velocity on the bottom floor. There was a party of 6 of us and we came in around 9pm. It was all empty. We ordered the great Gabe and fries. It was quick coming out and the fries were super hot and crispy. It had so much meat but I think it was a little pricey still for a Philly cheesesteak. Whole bill came out to be $32. The meat was very flavorful and definitely perfect for 2 people to split. It had good amount of cheese, peppers, onions and the hash brown. I didn't know it came with hash brown and felt like it didn't need it. The staff were all very friendly and chill. The chef even asked us how's the food and checked in on us too. read more

The food was made to order quickly and the restaurant was very clean and well run. Shay's Steaks is one of the best Philly cheesesteak shops in Las Vegas. I was in the area visiting the Shelby Museum and was looking for places to eat at around 11:00 A.M on a Sunday. When I saw the new restaurant, Shay's Steaks in Town Square, I had to go try it out. My husband has never had an authentic Philly Cheesesteak before with the sesame roll and cooper cheese. When I saw it listed on the menu, I just had to go! Shay's Steaks is located right next to the AMC in Town Square, though there isn't currently a sign listed. There should be one in a few weeks though. It is family owned restaurant and they ship in their bread from Philly, which is pretty cool! There was only one other customer at the time and they were just opening the restaurant for the day. Looking over their menu, Shay's Steaks has a lot of different options You can craft your own steak sandwich Make a wrap or quesadilla Some of their precrafted signature sandwiches include the Philly Special, Dunkin and more! We ended up getting the following The Classic: Prime Rib, Cooper Sharp Cheese, Buttery Steakhouse Seasoning and the sautéed onions Plain Remi James: It's the classic without onions. Everything was cooked fresh on the flat top. It's also a open kitchen! The cheesesteak with the onions came out first, then the Plain Remi James. Oh the sandwich tasted like I was in Philly having a cheesesteak! It was so good. The sesame roll and the cooper cheese was fantastic! Well this is a bag of mixed emotions. Let's start with the food. The Cuz steak sandwich was good would I say $20 good no but it's good to try once. It's up to you how many times you want to go back.i just ordered the sandwich bc i didn't want to spend a lot of money on a cuz steak fries and a drink. Do NOT skip out on this place if you want a true, authentic cheesesteak. We decided to give this place a try and it was incredible. They have different types of meats to choose from, along with different toppings and cheeses, so it's great for all including a picky eater. We did a few make your owns, as well as a grilled cheese, which was equally incredible. Whatever seasoning they use on their fries was good too. At first I thought maybe the fries would be just ok by looking at them but I was pleasantly surprised. The inside isn't too big but comfortable enough for a quick bite to eat. When we went it they are still in their soft opening phase so there's still some improvements being made but don't let that stop you because the food is worth stopping in for! I also have to give a shout out to Leo and everyone who works there, you walk in and they make you feel welcome, which is such a nice change of pace from a lot of places. Came here on Wednesday around 8 PM There was no one in there when I came just myself and the one Worker I'm gonna assume the owners I guess the whole menu is not available he said he could only make me the original because they were still in their soft opening, which I wasn't really aware of which is not really that big of a deal I wanted to start with the original anyways ... the only thing that sucks is I want mushrooms and he said that they had ran out earlier sad face :( since it was just me the order did come out quickly and was nice and fresh !!! The sandwich itself was delicious. I would've loved the mushrooms though, but I will definitely come back to try the other sandwiches. It is definitely top-notch cheesesteak. It was good. They had only been open about a week so I fully expected things to not be 100% polished and that was the case. Did the food take a long time to come out, yes. Were they very busy, nope. But, they have only been open a week so that is 100% to be expected and okay. They can figure that stuff out easy. The sandwiches were good. They were REALLY good. You can tell that they don't use cheap ingredients with anything they do. I will say, I hope they can figure out how to bring pricing down a little. We had been looking forward to trying this place after seeing the food and reviews. Unfortunately, it was not a great experience from the jump. Came here at 11ish on a Friday morning. 2 employees, one cashier, one cook. No greeting whatsoever or acknowledgment of our presence. The store front also has no signage, it's close to the yardhouse. They have order kiosks, but since neither employee were actively engaging with customers, everyone had to figure it out on their own. I mean let's be real, the prices are astronomical, which I can understand I'm getting a steak sandwich. For that price, the little things should be tightened up. One filet cheesesteak, one classic cheesesteak, fries and one bottle soda for $60+ before tip. Fries were not crispy or salted well, disappointing. The bread was fine, the filet and classic ribeye meat were at least tender and tasted good. Cashier didn't even call out names for orders, could've used some better training. The girl that works in the kitchen with pink/red hair dye was incredibly rude when she brought over the food to us, gave us a unfriendly look and said something under her breath and turned around and proceeded to take our food back to the kitchen despite us telling her the name for the order and the order number. Even the table behind us stopped at our table before leaving mentioning how rude the girl was and why she took the order back. Meanwhile I noticed the same girl staring at the guests talking to us and still not correcting the matter. We asked a different girl at the front taking orders if the order sitting on the counter was our order and she said yes and brought it over. First impressions are everything especially being that it was our first time and clearly management needs to do more on improving customer service at this place. Highly disappointed that we have such a bad experience with one staff member who doesn't know how to communicate properly and made the dining experience unpleasant when it could have been easily handled differently had they had training.
