Stay Away!!!!! Yolanda was dismissive & rude when I was asking simple questions about a policy. And when I couldn't find a non-existent sign she kept telling me to read she got combative & started raising her voice. She had non-management staff come over to see what was going on, and she proceeded to talk down & belittle me in front of them. Which made waiting for a manager nerve racking & completely uncomfortable. Finally a manager came over and explained what she could not. It's a shame because this was a store that I would take my father to for grocery shopping, but we will not be back. And I will be advising my friends & relatives to skip this store as well. As there is no reason I should scolded for asking simple policy questions. It's not my fault those things are not listed and the employee was unable to explain it. Next time maybe the employee can ask the customer to wait while they get a manager who is more knowledgable about policy & what the customer can do. read more

Shaw's bakery chocolate muffins tasted like they had gone bad before the best buy date. They were horrible in flavor. Never again.

This Shaw's is absolutely terrible! Honestly, I'm contemplating sending their corporate office a message as to how bad it is here. Nothing, I mean nothing, is marked or rings up correctly. With the price of groceries nowadays, us consumers expect to pay the honest price that's marked. This store does NOT honor those prices and it's truly sickening. I'm not giving them my hard earned dollar again! To continuously go to this store and be overcharged is quite frankly asinine. Let's not forget about their spoiled food on the shelves and in the refrigerated sections... Do yourself a favor and go to any other grocery store in the neighborhood. Also, it would be nice for them to send an employee to the parking lot every now and then, to get the shopping carts that are rolling into people's vehicles... They need to terminate all management and start over because these people don't care about their jobs, the customers, the store, or the neighborhood.. And as for Shaw's, the company itself. You have sales flyers and make us go on the app to clip coupons, we EXPECT to pay the price of the coupon we digitally clipped. The app clearly, consistently isn't working. Fix it already! I just came to the Pokemon vending machine at this location. The machine is out of stock at opening of the store and I saw the Shaws employees trying to purchase from the machine while on the clock. Shaw's located at 641 Belmont Street West Brockton Ma went above and beyond for customer service. My boyfriends mom lost her battle with breast cancer this weekend and my family needed food ideas to fit a large crowd and quick. We went online to Shaws and saw the deli / fruit / veggie trays and ordered ahead. We spoke to a gentlemen name John his nickname is "California" at the service desk and he was very kind. He was understanding and very compassionate with what we had going on. When I went to pick up the food the store gift us a bouquet of sunflowers ( my bfs moms favorite) it was this simple kind gesture that went above and beyond. The kindness shown at this grocery store was beyond measure they had no idea the lives that were touched by their gentleness. John "California" is a ray of sunshine at this location and the entire staff at the Shaws West Brockton team really made a difference in our lives. read more

I decided to buy makeup because there was a sign up . It said buy one thing get the second half off. So I had four items the frist two went okay. Yet the second one he said wasn't . Yet there was signs all over the display. The girl who went to check asked the nasty manager. Who didn't even bother to go look. Finally someone got the great idea to put a basket of lemons down where you order your fish. Instead of having to walk down to the other end of the store for the lemons most of the time I just forget them and then get home and get aggravated because I don't have them .Hope they remain there.l know they do that at Market Basket and it's very convenient . read more

Omg these blueberry muffins are amazing. I also buy the fried chicken when "my lady" is cooking. She makes it nice and crispy. Only thing I can't stand a when people take the shopping carts off premise. I will call Shaw's and report the location and they come right out and pick it up. Buyer beware. Store consistently discounts (50-75% off) items which are already EXPIRED. Because I live in the neighborhood, I shop here often and have witnessed this SEVERAL times over the past year. If you see something on sale, CHECK THE DATE. I recently bought fruit cups for my kid and came to find out they were expired SEPTEMBER OF LAST YEAR. Also recently bought protein bars which were 50% off and same thing, expired last month. I have a hard time believing management is not aware of this practice. How is this legal? They will get someone sick. read more

I was waiting at the seafood counter and I asked a female behind the counter if she could help me? She said this is not my section and went in the backroom and came out with a gentleman I thought would help me but they were talking I said can I get help? Stopped in for a quick grocery shopping, as I was in the immediate area. Large, clean Shaw's store. Each section was spacious and had a good selection. Prices were also very good. Store aisles are extremely large and easy to shop, so much more pleasant than Market Basket at the mall. Pet aisle was a it sparse, but wasn't too much of an issue. Ample parking and convenient location. May return but somewhat far to go back to a grocery store. Plus, it still doesn't compare to Stop&Shop with scanners, and self checkout (and if I wasn't so lazy yesterday, I would have drove over to Stop&Shop instead, a block away). Checkout went smoothly, and pretty quick which was a nice change from the long lines of other grocery stores (Market Basket and some other Shaw's locations). Only complaint: the men's bathroom is terrible. In definite use of remodel in the bathroom! Ugh. (-1 star). Overall, good supermarket in the West Brockton area, Stop&Shop may be better if you aren't shopping elsewhere in the Shaw's plaza and prefer SelfCheckout. 4 stars. read more

I find this Shaws to be unusually badly run; I don't know if it's because of this store's particular manager or because it's located in a relatively lower income area where the management thinks lower income people are easier to take advantage of. Every time I go in there, I am charged a different--always higher--price than what's marked on the shelf for at least one if not more, items The produce is frequently wilted--the snow pea pods sit out there for days, each day they're worse than the day before. There is store-prepared produce, sold by weight, that routinely has significantly less in the package (according to their own scales!) than is marked on the package and for which the customers are charged. The marked down deli goods are often bad or so dried out they're inedible. Anytime I've complained about these problems to the store, my individual complaint is resolved, but the store doesn't appear to make any effort to correct the problem with the rest of the items on the shelf. For instance, my own overpriced item will be marked down and charged correctly, but days later I'll continue to see others on the shelf with the higher, incorrect price. Wilted produced and dried out deli items are still on the shelf the next day, store-prepared produce continues to have less in the package than what customers are charged for. I shop at the Newton Shaws all the time--I've never had any of these problems there. read more

Had a fantastic experience here today. I went in needing a veggie platter (among other things) and saw there were none already made. I sought out an employee in the produce department who was super friendly and was quick to give me a few options. He stopped what he was doing and made me up a platter in less than ten minutes and it looked fantastic! Also, the price was unbeatable. Great example of superior customer service! read more

went to shaws this afternoon to pick up a few items that I found were good deals in the flyer..NOT got 10 cans on bumble bee solid tuna, buy one get one free was the deal, when I went to register I was charged a lot more then I thought i should have. when i went to the service desk the young man checked the price on the can of tuna and it rang up $2.49 a can I have never paid more then $1.29 a can this was double the price so they jacked up the price to double and then advertise that you buy one get one free when you are paying reg. price for each can... what a SCAM !!! they should be ashamed . even the manager could not believe the price was $2.49 for one can, I asked for the regional manager number and when I got home the number he cave me was the pharmacy # got number on line but office was closed at 5pm. read more

I don't live in this area so I don't have any experience with this store other than today's. What I loved about it was that it is very celiac friendly. I've never walked into a store where gluten free items were labeled so clearly! It's not like the store had a gluten free section. Instead, they marked on the price tag if and when a particular food is gluten free, within the section where all the other foods are. For example, I was shopping for guacamole, and instead of having to read through all the labels, they had clearly marked which guacamole items were safe for me to eat. Even within the same brand, some were fine, some were not. Brilliant! It made my shopping experience so much easier and enjoyable. Thank you, thank you!! read more

I wouldn't say that this Shaw's is the nicest or cleanest one around, but prices are usually better than it's much bigger & tidier neighbor, S&S. Shopping amongst other polite individuals (like yourself) is a hit or a miss depending on the day of the week and/or time of the day/night you decide to visit. read more

I go to shaws often for sales items. They often have decent sales on soda, drinks , snacks ect. Im not a fan of there produce though. Deli is ok but not one of the better ones in the area. Market can get busy and is clean enough for the amount of foot traffic that goes through it. Parking lot is big but can be busy with the other businesses in the area.
