I was definitely happy at The Happy Hog! This place is delicious and love the vibe here too, chill…read moreand happy! My family started with an order of pork rinds, one Nashville hot and one plain. The pork rinds are definitely homemade and so good! A must order. The Nashville hot are spicy, so be aware, also have a sweet note as well. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich which was tender chicken with the dry rub type Nashville hot spice which was so good. The fries are handcut and cooked perfectly. My husband got the smash burger with a double and said it was the best smash burger he's ever had. Plus he said the collards should be world famous. My girls got the two hotdog special and it was a nice beef dog and buttered bun. Additional, they have gluten free buns here! My mom has a gluten allergy so it's always a nice perks for her if she gets to have a bun with her burger and she said their choice of gluten free buns is excellent. The ranch here deserves its own paragraph. Hands down amazing. Drink selections are beers, wine, sodas, tea lemonade, and even apple juice for the kids. My mom and I enjoyed a white wine and my husband and dad had beer. Service here was so kind and so attentive!!! My daughter's meals came out with the appetizers which is always a nice touch, as anyone with a kid knows! They gave them a coloring sheet and crayons too. The restaurant is clean and located in the heart of pearisburg downtown right on the corner. The decor is hog happy and love the small town feel! Can't wait to come every time I visit my mom and dad!

The atmosphere was perfect--clean, cozy, and well-maintained. Whatever I ordered/ purchased was high-quality, reasonably priced, and exceeded my expectations. You can tell they really care about their customers and take pride in their work. I've already recommended this place to a few friends and will definitely be back soon. If you are looking for top-notch service and quality, this is the spot! Highly recommended.

From the food to the drinks to the service, every single detail is outstanding. On my first visit, I tried the fried green tomatoes, the famous chicken & waffle nachos, and the Bleu Monday burger with sweet potato fries each dish was so good that I found myself planning my return before I even left. Sure enough, the next day I was back and had the ridiculously delicious smoked Gouda shrimp mac, maple bacon Brussels sprouts, fire-roasted tomato soup with grilled cheese, and the chimmied fries. Absolutely phenomenal. The fried green tomatoes have officially become my standard nobody else compares now. The Samurai Jack salad so fresh, flavorful, and unforgettable. The drinks deserve their own spotlight. The Breakfast Club with a Sidecar is a must try, and the Basilto All Flavors series (strawberry, blackberry, blueberry) is out of this world, blueberry was my personal favorite. Creative, refreshing, and perfectly crafted. The RailYard is the kind of place that makes you excited to come back again and again. The vibe is cool, the staff/manager Brad is friendly and attentive, and the food is truly next level. Whether you're a student at Bluefield State or just passing through town, this place is an absolute must. The RailYard sets the bar high for food, drinks, and atmosphere in West Virginia. Worth every single visit and then some.

It was a bit busy so we expected a slight delay on drinks/food, but our server kept checking on us every few minutes and kept our drinks full. The atmosphere/design is very unique and offers great talking points for the table. You can look around and always find something new you haven't seen before. For food, I got the French dip, my husband got the fried catfish, and mom got the smash burger. Food was EXCELLENT. The au jus from the French dip was not overly salty as I've had in the past, and it was the perfect amount for the sandwich. Not like other places that will either give you a big tub of au jus or ever a small saucer cup. After lunch, we walked around as they have a shopping area inside with soaps, handmade pottery/kitchenware, and local vendor products such as hatch chile cream cheese and pickled vegetables. Price was very favorable too and didn't seem to be overly priced where the business/vendor up charges significantly to make a huge profit. Definitely worth stopping by even if you only have time for Togo coffee, a snack, of just to shop around!

Tucked away in the hills of Draper, the Mercantile and Trading Company restaurant is in a remodeled restaurant that used to be a post office. It is reminiscent of a Cracker Barrel but with more style, pizzazz and variety of products available, from stationery to kitchen gadgets to homemade chocolates. The server seated us and was very attentive to our needs. From the bottomless coffee to the follow-up order for one of those homemade biscuits, our server made us feel like we were her only customer! We loved this! Our family ordered the eggs, bacon and toast, as well as a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich, the granola parfait with berries, and the kid-sized omelette with a side of sausage patties. The portions were large and no one was left wanting for more food. We had to try the biscuit, so we sampled parts of it but ended up getting most of it "to go." The flavor reminded me of the biscuits my mom used to make when I was a kid. Delicious! We highly recommend this restaurant and know you will find a little bit of something for everyone here. The restaurant has plenty of room for all diners, inside or on the large wraparound porch. The food is served in large portions and the service is second to none. We will definitely be coming back the next time we are in the area.
