My son had an exam today. I have to go to work today so my mom was going to take him. I was told I needed to sign a waiver for this and with the past few days due to the weather I wasn't able to drive up there and sign. They now want to charge me a $25 fee and to reschedule. I mean they gave no grace at all this. Due to the weather mainly I would think they should waive that fee. I'm finding someone new. read more

I have been pleased with all the exams etc. I had problem where my frames broke while replacing the lens. I understand it can happen as I can not afford the highest quality glasses. But after talking to the office manager they replaced the frames at no charge. I was pleasantly surprised at the professionalism and caring attention I got. When he called he was knowledgeable about what had taken place and went above and beyond. They had the glasses back fast and they look and feel great. There are going to be things that happen but knowing you can talk to people that care and want to work it out is worth a lot!! No need to shop any further. It's a one place stop! Horrible customer service. Staff cannot bill /enter insurance information correctly but they bill you for services upfront-then bill insurance. I've never been treated so poorly especially having primary and secondary insurance. Find a different office. read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. I've now experienced two disrespectful, rude, and dismissive optometrists here. I left in tears today as my contacts (that I waited for over a month to come in) were quite blurry when I first put them on. She had another pair sitting there and kept asking me ,"what did you want to do?" And, "I can't decide for you". I didn't understand my options or what she meant by that. I expressed that I didn't understand what she meant. She replied, "Do you want me to sit here with you for two hours while you decide!?" Btw... this is a few months after I'd spent over $1,300 out of pocket for glasses & exam. I'll never bother them again, I assure you that. Please don't go there!!! read more

We were told in person and through text changing lenses takes 45 minutes and we could either wait or drop off. I came back 3.5 hours later and was told that 45 minutes is only if you wait, which isn't what we were told, and my husband can't see without his glasses. I explained this to the girl who I gave the glasses to and she kept saying I was wrong. I said I'm not saying you're right or wrong, I'm saying you might make that more clear in the future and I can show you the text we got so you know what we're told. The lab tech and the girl were incredibly rude and demeaning, the girl at the front even walked off while I was speaking at one point. INCREDIBLY unprofessional and rude. Stay away!!! read more

absolutely terrible and disrespectful to others called on day informing we would be about 5 minutes late for appointment and they said we couldn't come and charged us 25 dollars for a cancellation fee. they were rude over the phone and even in person going their has not been my favorite place but after all this I will not be back I miss Dr. Castle at the mall he was the best you could ask for and they were able to make glasses that same day not wait a full week to get something you didn't even order absolutely hate this place dont go read more

This company takes advantage of low income people whether you have insurance or not ! they have the worst Customer Service I have ever experienced in my entire life. People go to Oklahoma City go to Edmond go anywhere but here in Shawnee vision source and take your business elsewhere because these people are so crooked They have to screw their socks on in the morning when they get up they are just completely and terribly awful when my daughter went there they tried to double bill her for her eyeglass exam and she had insurance and then on top of that she was supposed to get free eyeglasses frames and lenses and they tried to bill her even more money on top of that. These people are real jerks. I hope their business closes..... the sooner the better with businesses like this. Last week, I stopped by to get my glasses (which I purchased there) adjusted. I was told that they couldn't do so because it was customer appreciation day. I told the receptionist that I live an hour away (Cushing, OK) from their office and it didn't matter-- which seems a bit contradictory to me-- it's customer appreciation day but yet you can't be bothered to take a few minutes to help a current client. I think it may be time to find another optometrist- in an office that values all their clients. read more

I had an eye injury a couple days. I went to Urgent Care in Shawnee first. They were horrible. Took my money made me wait 3 hours before telling me they couldn't do any for my eye. So I then went to Vision source about an eye later. Vision Source were awesome. They saw me quickly, no wait time, and all the staff at Vision Source were great. Very helpful and friendly. Zero stars. The optometrist was INCREDIBLY disrespectful, arrogant and dismissive of my elderly mother when she went back because the prescription was off. He even kept the glasses she paid for, " since they didn't work." We are having to start completely over. Unprofessional, arrogant, unkind and so disrespectful. After an expensive and unpleasant experience with another Shawnee optometrist, I gave Vision Source a call. The receptionist was professional and courteous and squeezed me in right away. At my appointment, I could tell right away that the dream team was assembled. Every staff member got along so well with each other, it did my heart good! Every patient that came through the door was treated with an equal and ample amount of respect and professionalism. My only complaint is that they have funky hours, so it's wise to call before you drop in to pick up glasses or whatever. Other than that I cannot fault them. read more

I have always seen an optometrist in the OKC metro area since I live in Edmond. I received an invitation from Dr. Britton Adams and decided to go out and have my annual exam completed. At the time of my visit, I was dealing with numerous headaches and blur vision. It was becoming a concern as I had to start sitting in the dark to get any work done in the office. After seeing Dr. Adams, he was able to shed light on what was causing my headaches and provided a solution and support in getting back on track. I was a new patient this morning. Friendly, effecient staff (but please, introduce yourselves! Only one who did was Dr Karnish) took care to explain everything. Very nice, knowledgeable staff. I was taken back within 5 minutes of my appointment time. Every test was explained in detail and any question I had was answered so that a kid could even understand! Dr. Kliewer was extremely nice and very thorough. He worked patiently with me to find the right strength for my new contacts which can be very frustrating when your eyes have two different prescriptions!! I spent out of pocket after insurance $425 for glasses went back in after a few days with problems with the glasses was told that someone would call me back after talking to the doctor. a week has gone by I call this morning to talk to the office manager was placed on hold and every few min they would pick up and place me back on hold. this has been the worse treatment I have ever gotten. I scheduled my appointment a month ago. My appointment was at 8:30 a.m. I showed up at 8:15 a.m. and was turned away because I needed to be there at 8:00 a.m. to start new patient paperwork. No one called me to let me know what time they wanted me there. I didn't even get an email confirmation for my appointment. I got there 15 minutes early, which is normal for anyone who is a new patient anywhere, and they told me I needed to re-schedule. I WAS EARLY TO MY APPOINTMENT AND THEY TOLD ME TO RESCHEDULE. Find another place for your eyecare. I spent over $1000 on glasses and sun glasses and can't see with either pair. The people they have working in the fitting area don't care if you can see or not. read more
