The spicy sauce isn't that spicy, but adds the perfect kick to the dish. I wish I had gotten the pita instead, but definitely loved the box, too! Their shop is exactly what you'd expect of a modern, fast-casual food spot. I loved their space, and the simplicity of their design. Great for a quick bite, or for people-watching!

No one style of BBQ will ever be above the other, overall. Each bring their own flavor to the table. That said, what I ate at the BBQ Connection was nothing short of amazing. The brisket with the baked beans and the macaroni and cheese... just the best I've had in a long, long time; and for this to be in Europe, is a gift. I have a few favorite places to eat in Germany. Yet for real American-made BBQ (literally, because Mr. Jamar is from the state of Georgia), I will only go there. One more thing. My lovely wife had the bacon cheeseburger and cut me a third of it. A very good burger with fresh ground beef, which was a very thick helping of awesome, by the way. So, if you want great American BBQ in Germany (and probably in Europe) I suggest Jamar's BBQ Connection. It's Fan-friggin'-tastic.

It was a standard dreary and rainy weekend (Sunday I think) yet when we stepped inside it was packed to the gills. A half hour to forty minute wait was offered to us, and we took it, wandering the local area till we got close to time. Note to everyone: "Benji's Birdhouse" doesn't mean it's up in the air or they like birds and it's a feature decoration. It means the menu is all chicken. CHICKEN Ok that may be slightly incorrect, I am not certain if there were beef or other options - I don't think so but am too lazy to check the online menu right now. What I can share is that as a vegetarian that tries to stay away from deep fried food there were about zero obvious options for me. Zero. There weren't any steamed veggies or mashed potatoes or anything like that I usually go for when the menu is limited for me so it was salad all the way. The waitress was confused when I didn't want chicken on the salad I chose. No chicken? None? My dining partner didn't want to eat the chicken if I had to put it on the side so the answer kept being no chicken. It seemed like the first time someone ever said that. As it's a restaurant that features chicken, it probably was. The salad was large, fresh, and the dressing was amazing. I can see how some kind of grilled or deep fried chicken would be fabulous with it. My dining partner enjoyed her meal tremendously. All in all we had a great meal on an otherwise lackluster day. One would think I would give them at least one star less because of the lack of options, but really, they're a birdhouse and they do chicken. The salad was excellent. They obviously do chicken extremely well. Highly recommend for people who want to eat chicken!

The side salad is fresh and a very good size; we shared it. The Jagarschnitzel is a huge portion. The fries soft inside, crisp outside. I read another review about the pizza and was excited to try it. Having lived in Italy, I cannot agree with that other reviewer. Don't get me wrong - the pizza is good. Just not the same as those found in Italy. Crispy crust. Plenty of cheese. Just different. There is parking for a few cars by the entrance. The hostess/waitress will come out and greet you. Food is made when ordered so not out in a hurry. Full bar, beers on tap or bottles, soft drinks, coffee & tea and Eiscoffee which seems to be a big thing in the area at the moment.
