The portions are enormous, the menu is full of comfort‑food classics, and the atmosphere has that lively, slightly chaotic charm that makes it feel like a local staple. I went with a group, and everyone found something they loved. The schnitzel was crispy and well‑seasoned, and the burgers were surprisingly great for a place known for German‑style plates. Service was friendly and efficient even though the place was packed, which I really appreciated. If I had to nitpick, the wait times can get long during peak hours, and the sheer size of the portions can be a bit overwhelming if you're not prepared. But honestly, that's part of the Big Emma's experience; go hungry, go with friends, and expect leftovers. Overall, a fun, hearty spot that delivers exactly what it promises. I'd happily come back.

Few people I know like this place outside of it being a campy place to get wings, when you've managed to convince yourself that the last time you went there months ago it "wasn't that bad". "Wasn't that bad", what a great reason to come to a restaurant. One of the few American-style places on Ramstein Air Base, I'd be hard pressed to find any American who finds nostalgia or excitement in this place. I'd feel embarrassed taking anyone outside the realm of American sports bars here. J.R. Rocker's embarrasses me. The seemingly irrelevant NFL jerseys tacked on the wall tell the story of a sports bar attitude, bought and hastily tacked on the wall for a profit, with little regard for making this establishment special for any of its patrons.
