The SponBoB and Chuck Norris are sweet and spicy. Both a great combination.

Okay, so the wings here are good. The sauces are awesome and unique. For what you pay for, you get a lot for your money and that's about it for the positive. Unfortunately this place is known for its poor/bad service and I didn't want to believe the reviews but everyone is right. This place should be packed just about every other night of the week but because it's understaffed and the people that do staff it don't have high standards in customer service is lacking. In my experience I went on a Wednesday night with a friend. After reading some reviews online and finding their Facebook page I called to make a reservation and no answer. I was able to make one through Facebook which was interesting to me. How can you answer Facebook but not the phone? When we arrived we noticed that there were several empty tables with completed meals still on them. So no one was bussing the tables. We stood by the doorway waiting for someone to greet us but nobody came. We made our way to bar to find our waiter/bartender talking with the chef/waiter/manager (I think) and some guests. I wasn't getting good vibes from the sloppiness of the main dining room and the lack of attention to new customers. Once the bartender asked me if I was the reservation I said yes and then the Chef told us to find a seat wherever we liked, the only problem is that he hadn't cleared the tables yet. Then he informed us that there was a bottom floor also. We checked it out and we decided to sit in the main dining room. Once he cleaned off a table he explained the origins of the place and how many they have in the area. After that I asked about the specials and he informed me that Wednesday nights they offer 5 extra free wings for every 10 that you buy. That wasn't stated in their advertisements but I didn't mind since I was going to buy 10 anyway. After looking at the menu and the long list of sauces, he offered some samples. We tried the "Spong Bob" and the "Chuck Norris," both were sweet and spicy and had plenty of flavor. So once we were ready to order the Chef went away and the bartender came to take our order. This is where the service for the night got bad and went crashing down. The Bartender asked us what we wanted I informed him that I wanted to 10 wings and that I wanted to split the sauces. He then said that you can't do that when the chef stated that you can. The bartender slightly fought with me about it then gave in and said he would do it, I then reminded him about the extra 5 wings because I saw him write me down for just 10 wings split by 5. The bartender apprentantly didn't know about the special or didn't want to give it to me because he put up a fight about that too, but I stood my ground and he rewrote his math on the paper. My friend made his order the same way and we were pretty much good to go, but then I had a side of ranch. The food came out in a decent amount of time and to my surprise the wings came with fries and side of some cream cheese. I didn't care for it but it was part of the plater. So for 9 euro you get about 15 wings with fries, not a bad deal at all even if you have to pay an extra euro for Ranch or Blue Cheese. But the bartender didn't bring my ranch. To make a long story short I asked the bartender twice within 35 minutes for my Ranch and he never gave it to me. The chef was walking in and out of the restaurant then decided to ask us how we were doing, i was so frustrated about the stupid Ranch all I could say is "I'm still waiting on some Ranch Man!" The chef immediately said that he would get it and within 30 seconds i had my ranch but it was basically too late because I was already full. LOL. So to finish this long review, the poor service and lack of knowledge from the bartender/waiter along with the dirty tables and crazy inappropriate youtube videos playing on the TV's make this place a two star. What I did notice is that there were lots of people picking up orders to go. Plenty of reviews have stated that their delivery can take up to two hours and arrive soggy. So the best advice I can give is do what the locals do, order takeout from online or by phone and pick up your wings in person. You'll be happy you did and you'll have plenty of ranch at home. :)

SpongeBob. Way to much sauce and soggy.

The combination of bad service and soggy wings put this at three stars. It's run by some expats and is welcoming looking when you arrive. It's full of English speaking people. Wednesday is buy 10 get 5 free regular wings. I got the SpongeBob. It was sweet and hot. The have only a few sauces that they then mix together to make other combinations. We also tried atomic which is a ghost pepper sauce but covered with red pepper flakes. Eh on both. They should cut back to 8 flavors instead of 30. The fries are covered in breading or something but if they are not super hot they are just eh.

To be fair, this is more like a 2.5 rating. We showed up on a weekday. It was the day that they have all-you-can-eat hot dogs. However, we came for the wings. As we sat down, the waiter warned us that it would be an HOUR for food. I was shocked, as there weren't many other people in the restaurant, but we were tired and hungry and decided to wait. They have a mini connect-4 game on each table, which helps some with the wait. We also ordered fried pickles. The pickles were cut so thin that the breading completely overpowered the pickle taste, and the breading was very bland. It just tasted like flour. When the wings finally came out, we were pleasantly surprised. They were not all cut the same, but the taste of the sauce was good and the wings were all a good size. The shredded carrots were completely unnecessary and the fries looked much better than they tasted. If they want to serve "American style" food, then I would recommend 'sticking' to the carrot sticks and sticking the fries back into the fryer once more. We weren't offered napkins, and had to go on a scavenger hunt to find them. Even ordering a beer was a 15-minute process. I don't know if we will return. To be perfectly honest, the wings at Chili's are better (and about the same price).

The reason was fantastic, which is that he grills the steaks slow and low, some for five hours. He had some steaks in the works, so we could come in. Our group was five, including a child. We had three steaks. 1. Australian rump. 2. Australian rib eye. 3. Irish rib eye. Harry came over to the table about four times during our two hours there. He first introduced himself, then explained how he ended up in this business and where the steaks come from. He came over to check on how the meal was going. Just the absolute best steak dinner we / I have ever had. It cost a pretty penny, but I'm thrilled we did it. All three steaks prepared medium rare I would say. We had some starters, and only one side, which was sweet potato fries.

Chacarero Steakhouse delivers the kind of meal that makes you stop mid‑bite and say, "Okay... this…read moreis really good." From the moment you walk in, the warm lighting and relaxed atmosphere set the tone for a great night out, and the staff keeps that energy going with attentive, genuinely friendly service. The star of the show is absolutely the steak. Perfectly seasoned, beautifully grilled, and served exactly at the temperature requested; it's the kind of quality you usually only find at high‑end steakhouses. The sides are just as impressive: fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The chimichurri deserves its own shout‑out; it's bright, bold, and elevates everything it touches. Drinks are well‑crafted, portions are generous without being over the top, and the pacing of the meal feels thoughtful rather than rushed. It's the kind of place that works equally well for a date night, a celebration, or just treating yourself to a seriously good dinner. If you're anywhere near Kaiserslautern and craving a great steakhouse experience, Chacarero is absolutely worth the visit. I'd come back in a heartbeat.

J.R. Rocker's... where do we begin?…read more I could talk about their service. I really could. I could start with their slow, sub-par service that at its best is painfully average. I could talk about their generally overpriced food, and I could even bring up a few arguments about their menu. Or, instead I'll let their review average speak for itself. Few people I know like this place outside of it being a campy place to get wings, when you've managed to convince yourself that the last time you went there months ago it "wasn't that bad". "Wasn't that bad", what a great reason to come to a restaurant. One of the few American-style places on Ramstein Air Base, I'd be hard pressed to find any American who finds nostalgia or excitement in this place. I'd feel embarrassed taking anyone outside the realm of American sports bars here. J.R. Rocker's embarrasses me. The seemingly irrelevant NFL jerseys tacked on the wall tell the story of a sports bar attitude, bought and hastily tacked on the wall for a profit, with little regard for making this establishment special for any of its patrons. A true failure, that I hope to see die and see rebirth as something useful. Perhaps a White Castle.
