Elizabeth and Jennifer have been walking/playing with/loving my dog Isaac for a few months now and he has never been happier. It's such a relief to know that he is spending time with caring people who appreciate him as much as I do. It's hard to put into words how incredible they are. Last year I had to put down my 17 1/2 year old pug. He was not eating and I knew it was time. I arranged for the dreaded in home visit and called out of work I ran out to get him ice cream to entice him to eat a final meal. In the panic and emotion I completely forgot to cancel the sitter. I met the owner, Jennifer, at Rittenhouse Park. She is AMAZING and truly loves dogs. She is saving money to go to Vet school and has been doing this for several years. I heard about Jen from other dog owners in the park....everyone loves her! She sets up play dates and spends more than 30 minutes with the dogs, but will only charge for the 1/2 hour walk - or whatever you choose. Shawe's Paws is wonderful and convenient. I'm so happy to have met Jen. She has made me feel comfortable raising my new puppy with my crazy schedule. read more

Jen, Savannah, and Elizabeth at Shawe's Paws are great! They take such great care of our dog, Sam! Each one of them has their own special bond with him and he is so happy when he gets to see his "buddies". The daily log of their adventures are always welcoming after a long day at work. We started using Shawe's Paws when we got our new puppy. We looked around at a few dog walkers in the city and Jen's team was extremely welcoming and the most flexible to accommodate our work schedule (which is often chaotic!). She's fantastic at last-minute schedule changes, even on weekends, which is always awesome for last-minute plans. Our pup loves the whole team and they've also been very helpful with his training. We are very grateful that he's in great hands when we're not at home. We never worry about him and actually, Jen typically texts us pictures and updates during his walk/playtime which is always cool to see while we're at work. I used to use Shawe's Paws for several months last year and was sorely disappointed. Jennifer never answered my phone calls or texts in a timely manner, so I never knew if my requested walks were confirmed. Not only that but I would get home from work at 4pm and she was just showing up to get my dog when the walk was scheduled for noon. It was always one excuse or another, either "Oh I had to take a dog to the groomer" or "Oh I'm just so busy", she even blamed her other dog walkers for her tardiness. Furthermore, I see her walking dogs for only 5 minutes in the park, even when the weather is nice. Shawe's Paws USED to have a great reputation, but its clear to me that she is in over her head. read more

Jen and her team of walkers took care of my dog for nearly three years. They are reliable, flexible, trustworthy, but most importantly, they love the dogs and they love spending time with them. I was always confident that not only would my dog get the walk and exercise he needed, but that he would also get lots of TLC. It doesn't get any better than Shawes Paws. Jen is great and loves my dogs almost as much as I do. But just not mine- every dog. she loves them like they are her children. she is always so accommodating and responsible. I was away and my dog got an ear infection and Jen took her to the vet and got her on medicine and when i got home had specific instructions of what I needed to do. It was above and beyond. But Jen didn't want to see my dog uncomfortable, and made the time to sit with her at the vet ( not charging me any extra!) she's full of love for the dogs and it they love her back. We've been using Shawe's Paws for over 3 years and can't say enough good things! Jenn and her team have always been super accommodating and flexible. We know our puggle Teddy is being well taken care of based on the notes they leave to let us know what he did on the walk and how they've come to know Ted's personality. At least three owners in my building use Jennifer and Allesia with Shawe's Paws as their primary dog walkers. Jennifer is studying to be a vet so there is never a doubt about her love and sincere interest concerning the health and care of your dog. Jennifer will get attached to your little furry creature, I will warn you. When I moved away, she made a point to take special moment to say goodbye to my two mini dachshunds. She was heart broken to say goodbye to my girls to say the least. Tears were shed! Her services come from the heart. Allesia was no less caring and sincere about her love for them as well. I was so lucky to find Shawe's Paws as my primary dog walker in the city. I received daily updates and real time communication with them via text messaging to know exactly when each went #2. Jenn and the Shawe's Paws team have been amazing, and are the only dog walkers I have ever felt comfortable leaving Penny with. Shawe's Paws is one of the only companies I have heard of that will give your pup so much individualized attention, solo walks, and so much love - all for a reasonable price! What more is that Jenn is so flexible with my ever changing schedule, that adding or canceling a walk last minute is never a problem. Not to mention the adorable notes that are often left behind -- on personalized stationary -- are also pretty amazing. Okay, now that we moved out of Philly, I really really miss Jen! She is truly the best dog walker there is in the center city area. She may take some time to return your phone call to set up a meet and greet, but it's simply because she is so busy loving all the dogs she walks and takes care of! She often spends more than the designated time with your pup and she will make sure to give the proper TLC they need. If she see's fido isn't looking so great for some reason, she will call you to inform you and if need be, she would try her best to stay with him or take him to the vet if it were really serious. She also trims nails, refills water, gives meds, feeds them, and will even bath your new puppy if he has a crate accident. She is also incredibly meticulous about proper dosing for medication and will double check if she has any doubt. I don't really know how she does what she does, but she is the dog whisperer in Philly! I am so so sad we had to move, but she was Maggie's best friend and has become a family friend who is welcome to visit us anytime! She trained our english bulldog to leash walk like a champ in the summer heat and helped us potty train which saved our butts. She really is the best. Just give her a week and your dog's temperament will reflect how happy she makes them! read more
