We couldn't be happier with our new porch--what a transformation! Iron Castle Construction's skill…read moreand professionalism are as impressive as the outcome itself. Owner Ken Schubert worked creatively with us and our design, streamlining materials and construction methods to capture the look we wanted at a price we felt good about. He took extra care in construction, picture-framing the decking, a detail I wish I'd thought to ask for and was overjoyed that he included. From inspiration photo to finished product, Iron Castle turned our lackluster, sagging brick porch into a wide, welcoming, beautiful entry. We're excited to tackle future projects together and recommend Iron Castle to everyone we know.

I honestly feel a bit bad leaving a 3-star review here because everyone I interacted with at Iron…read moreCastle Construction was genuinely kind, respectful, and responsible. On top of that, the quality of their work is fantastic. Among other great things about their work, they did a beautiful job matching the existing wood molding in our home with the new construction they did on our bathroom. Price-wise, they were right in the middle of the road compared to the other estimates I received. Where things fell short for me was communication. I know contractor-client dynamics can be tricky, but as the project progressed, it became increasingly unclear what the actual timeline or next steps were. The project ran longer than the original estimate, and I was never given updated, reliable estimates for completion. (Part of this was due to scheduling inspectors which had nothing to do with Iron Castle, but even factoring in the inspection wait time, the project went beyond the initial estimate.) Toward the end, communication broke down and workers would show up on days without prior notice, even after I explicitly asked to be kept in the loop on scheduling. That was stressful because we had our work to take care of. Big picture: Iron Castle does high-quality, beautiful work, and they are good people. But while I love the finished product, the process of getting there was not what I would have expected.

They will rip you off and not do any work. And then when you take em to small claims they won't pay. Cuz someone is broke and not paying their insurance premiums. I don't know how the truth I spoke on here got taken down but I bet it's because it hit too close to home. Again, use ANY other company unless you want to be swindled out of a crap load of money!!! Wonder why there's only good reviews? The owner flags em so people think this is a good company. It's not. Wish I hadn't gotten mixed up with this place.

Well the crew from LVL has had our house for two and a half months - it was a transformation from the basement to the roof. It is beautiful. The attention to detail, the quality of the work- it is unbeatable. They put in a new French drain system and properly sealed the entire basement, creating additional living space for our teen girls. They replaced all the uneven floors and made the entire home not only much more functional- but breathtakingly gorgeous. The problem is then the left the house unfinished, never completing it. Six months later- their electrical work caused a house fire. Repeated attempts to rectify the issues failed until the owner of LaVillaLux just stopped talking to us altogether. Not the best way to do business. Really sad at the outcome.

I was…read morefully transparent from the start that I do not live in Cleveland and asked directly whether I could trust him to handle the work responsibly. He assured me I could. Unfortunately, he did not fulfill what we agreed on. I paid over $12,000, and the work was left incomplete. The units were not rent-ready, debris and trash were left throughout the property, and key items we discussed were never finished. The photos I attached show only part of the condition he left the property in. After receiving payment, Larry stopped responding and ultimately blocked me instead of taking accountability or addressing the issues. As a property owner who relied on clear communication and trust, this was extremely disappointing and costly. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend hiring someone else if you are considering renovating a property.
