GREAT THINGS START FROM SMALL BEGINNINGS!…read more Very grateful to have found this place! Just looking for an activity for my energetic toddler who was at that time just turned 3. Distance wise from home was at first my consideration but you best believe, this place far exceeds my expectations. From the Trial/Introductory Class, best experience! Staff are all amazing. Ms. Tanya and Ms. Marlet at front desk - superb customer service and best cheerleaders! First encounter with Mr. Manuk. Great! Very welcoming! In my heart i knew that i don't need to search and do another trial class elsewhere. Mr. Manuk has this undeniable charm with kids. I genuinely appreciate the time, patience, and energy invested in helping, my son, Datu learn and grow. Both Master Manuk and Mr. David are patient, encouraging, and know how to motivate the kids while still keeping it fun. Bejanian Martial Arts gives opportunity for kids to meet and make new friends while learning valuable skills in an enjoyable setting. This is the kind of place that parents feel good about! No doubt. Day 1 to date, we have seen such big improvement with our son. The continuous building of his confidence, focus, and discipline. This place has a really positive atmosphere, and it feels like a community. Family!!! -- highly recommend to any parents looking for a great martial arts school! My son loves Bejanian Martial Arts! He actually asks everyday now if he has Karate school. He loves attending the class. My husband and I are truly grateful. Just positive experiences here!!! Kudos! Carren & Adrian (Datu's parents)

I paid close attention to the instruction, technique, discipline, and how the children responded to the masters. At some studios, I was surprised to see very young children wearing black belts that didn't seem earned. My 6-year-old son has been attending ETC for nearly a year, and the difference is evident. Master Paul and Master Jue are deeply committed to teaching proper technique, discipline, and character. They hold students to high standards while still encouraging them, and it shows in the way the children carry themselves. I believe in gentle parenting, but I also believe children need structure and accountability. ETC reinforces those values. My son has great respect for Master Paul, and we've seen significant improvement in his behavior both in and out of class. If you're looking for a Taekwondo studio that focuses on real skill development, discipline, and building respectful young leaders, I highly recommend ETC.

Wishing them continued growth and success as they refine their processes!

My son started training here Spring of 2021 and loves coming to class twice a week. I do too to be honest. Grandmaster Lee, Master Lee, Ms. Lee and Mr. Lee are passionate about this art form whilst being incredibly nice, approachable and patient. I really don't know how they don't lose their s--- cause sometimes, as we all know, younger kids are nuts and all over the place. The instructors, week after week, manage to contain the madness, make it fun and instill confidence, strength and executive function. Another thing I also like about this studio is that they really test the students before promoting them to the next level. It's not just based on age or how many months you've trained. It's based on whether the student has trained hard, is focused and ready to level up and progress. TMW has evening adult classes, Saturday morning stretches and Master Lee teaches a self defense program periodically too. Throughout the year, they have their demo team perform for the public and students can go watch their instructors do some cool tricks like break bricks and backflips to get inspired. Good thing we love this studio and the Lee family cause we'll be here till my son gets his black belt. We're committed.

She was nervous at first, but to our surprise, she absolutely loved her initial sessions. Master Nagayama and his team of black belt instructors strike a perfect balance between being firm and constructive, making the classes both engaging and encouraging. The overall ambiance is welcoming and supportive, creating a great environment for young learners. Highly recommend if you're considering martial arts for your child! Worthy accomplishments are often earned through hard work and practice.

And I was immediately drawn to the Aikido Cultural Institute not only because all of the senior staff are female, but because they allow you to wear the Hakama after receiving your 5th kyu certification rather than having to wait until you become a Black Belt. Just as in Kendo or Iaido, it is considered part of the uniform. I hope to call this dojo home for a long time.

Its profound philosophy of non-violence, of respect for life, of self-control and self-discipline, makes aikido one of the most perfect systems of self-defense." So when my son turned 7 (minimum age to join), he started taking lessons at the Aikido Cultural Institute. It could not have been a more enriching experience. My son attends several times a week and loves it. It is the highlight of his week. He has learned so much from Rhonda Sensei, Terri Sensei, Sara Sensei, and Pablo Sensei, all very nurturing and gentle teachers with strong spirits and kind hearts. Direct from my son: "I like that they're nice and that they teach good stuff, like if someone tries to attack you, you can defend yourself and not hurt the other person, and get past them. They're also nice - if you do a move wrong, they'll correct you without saying that you have to do it right next time." My son is a very active boy, and taking aikido lessons here has played a big role in helping him to appreciate non-violence, enhance respect for life, and exercise self-control and self-discipline. He has definitely learned to be more focused and confident. Thank you so much for offering such a nurturing and character-building experience for children! I highly recommend checking out this dojo!

My 13 year old daughter is testing for her Black Belt, which is an extraordinary accomplishment for her especially given that after only a four months at Inspire she was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, an autoimmune disease that requires near constant monitoring. My daughter has learned how to advocate for herself, communicate her needs, and most importantly she feels incredibly SAFE with her instructors and fellow students. We have watched her push through struggles with perfectionism and anxiety, embrace leadership roles, and gain confidence.
