Best coaches and experience for the kids. If you want ti have a self esteem child this is the right place. Amazing and dedicated team will do everything to help the kids get better and get the confidence they deserve in the future. Master Manuk is an amazing coach. The whole team is above and beyond. Special thanks to Mrs Tania also for helping us every single day. Highly recommend this place.

My son has been attending Bejanian Martial Arts for almost 2 years, and it has been such a positive experience! The instructors are not only skilled but also patient, encouraging, and great role models for the kids. Master Manuk is not only an amazing martial artist but also a wonderful teacher and mentor. He has been a great leader for my son, teaching discipline, respect, and focus while keeping the classes fun and engaging. I've noticed huge improvements in my son's confidence, focus, and discipline since starting here. The classes are well-structured, fun, and challenging, and they always keep the kids motivated. What I love most is the supportive community--everyone feels welcome, and the environment is respectful and uplifting. I'm so grateful we found this place. If you're looking for a martial arts school that truly cares about kids' growth both on and off the mat, I highly recommend Bejanian Martial Arts.

I'm the typical LA mom who does too much. Before my babies could even hold their heads up, I had them enrolled in music and then gymnastics, ballet, jazz, music, ukulele, art -- even karate at a different studio. And at all of them, kids were led through the motions and had fun but they were not really challenged. This place is different. Here, kids are expected to focus, to work through frustration, and to build real discipline -- not just participate. They're not just entertained; they're expected to grow from the inside out. Master Manuk and Mr. David are firm but encouraging. Some places instructors take misbehavior personally or let their own ego get in the way. It's not like that here. Their focus is on building character, not control. In a full class of five-year-olds, I watched my girl struggle with a simple two-footed jump. She was frustrated because it should have been easy -- jump off and land on two feet -- but she couldn't help herself from hopping one foot at a time. It was so small, so basic -- everyone else could do it and she wasn't getting it and that's exactly why it frustrated her. She tried to skip it, tried to hide behind others when they did it, even tried to strategically time snail-speed bathroom breaks to try to skip the whole thing altogether. Master Manuk noticed. Every time. And without embarrassing her, without calling her out or making a scene, he stayed firm. He pushed her - not to break her, but to get her to believe in herself. She was visibly frustrated but he remained steady and refused to lower the expectation he knew she could meet. That kind of attention from an instructor in a full class -- that refusal to overlook the small struggles when it's easier just to move onto the next thing -- is rare. And it's the difference between a place where kids learn a few skills and a place where they build resilience. It's not cheap. As a single parent, I've had to move things around to make it work. But I do -- because this place is helping my kids grow. They're learning confidence, discipline, and pride they can carry with them and it's a serious, lasting foundation, not just another kid's activity. Lastly, I want to add that we've only been to the Glendale location, when I'm out with the kids before/after a class and they are in their uniform, random people come up to me and say they went to the same karate school when they were kids -- and they speak about it fondly.

Bejanian Martial Arts is an excellent place to learn Martial Arts. My daughter has been coming here for Karate classes since she was 4 yo (7 now) and the instructors, and classes have built up her confidence and discipline. Instructors keep a perfect balance of discipline and encouragement to push forward and excel, while maintaining great care and sensitivity towards the younger students. Monthly camps allow the kids to engage in fun physical activities, board breaking and life lessons that will help them towards a healthy and successful life. This amazing dojo not only focuses on physical training but also on instilling ethics and respect while providing plenty of opportunities for growth. I highly recommend this dojo to anyone interested in martial arts!

If you are looking for a martial arts school that offers a comprehensive training program, excellent facilities, and top-notch instruction, look no further than Bejanian martial arts. From the moment you step inside, you can feel the positive and welcoming atmosphere that permeates throughout the school. But what really sets Bejanian martial arts apart from other schools is the incredible teaching abilities of Master Manuk. His passion for martial arts is infectious, and he is dedicated to helping his students achieve their full potential. His knowledge and expertise in various martial arts styles are simply unmatched, and his ability to convey this knowledge to his students is truly remarkable. Master Manuk is not only an expert instructor but also an excellent role model for his students. He is patient, kind, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that each and every student is making progress and feeling confident in their abilities. In addition to Master Manuk's expertise, the facilities at Bejanian martial arts are state-of-the-art, providing students with a safe and comfortable training environment. The classes are well-structured and cater to students of all skill levels, ensuring that everyone feels challenged and engaged. Overall, I cannot recommend Bejanian martial arts and Master Manuk highly enough. If you are looking for a martial arts school that will help you achieve your goals, both physically and mentally, this is the place to be. You will not be disappointed!

I've been bringing my son here for a few years now and I'm beyond content with his progress and life disciplines he's kesrned. First of all, this is and has been an established and respected martial arts school for many years and that's crucial because it upholds its reputation by being consistent with its program. Second, this isn't just about learning martial arts and forms. Instructors teach students how to be respectful and treat others accordingly, learning to build confidence, patience, gratitude, honesty and integrity in everyday life. I witness this by being in the class, listening to how they speak and deliver their message with the greatest impact. I strongly recommend any parent out there to consider bringing heir child here. You've got nothing to lose but incredible amount to gain!!!

We are blessed and honored to have our kids be apart of Bejanian Martial Arts. If I had the chance to give 10 Stars I would. They provide and teach clarity, self defense ,discipline, rules of life, responsibility and most Importantly Respect. Master Varouj and Master Manuk and the staff have welcomed our children like there own with open arms. I have been bringing my kids here for about 2 years and I will continue to bring my kids as long as they are around. My kids love coming twice a week and enjoy every moment of it. Lastly they have created Saturday Camps about twice a month for 4 hours each time which teaches them social skills, making new friends, and getting them involved in different types activities. Honestly I recommend them to everyone I promise you they make a difference in our children's lives. Thank You for all that you guys do.

I am so happy that my son had a chance to meet this professionals! This place makes our kids better, more respectful, disciplined, and most importantly stronger and confident! Such an important cultural value! Thank you for your work and effort dear Masters The staff is always so nice, friendly and welcoming. Also we love the camps arranged on weekends, which give the kids unforgettable childhood memories

It got to be too many kids and not enough instructors or adequate supervision for their summer program. My kids got to a point where they dreaded going to class, which is when I knew it was time to stop going. We took them to several other Gracie Barra locations but they didn't enjoy the instructors so I thought we were done with Jiu Jitsu until we found Total Jui Jitsu. To our surprise, we found that a lot of the coaches and families also left Gracie Barra in Burbank for the same reasons and so my boys knew a lot of the kids in the class. Great kids and wonderful families. The Total Jui Jitsu coaches aren't yellers, which creates a really chill environment and there is serious focus on good form, respect, and execution. All the things I expect and they over-deliver in each and every class. They won't allow kids to get distracted and ensure they are truly learning the techniques the right way. If they see a child performing the moves incorrectly, they immediately step in to coach and correct so the kids don't injure themselves or others. The kids really respond to the coaches' positive and encouraging approach and I can definitely see it in my boys faces after class; they beam with pride. I am so thrilled that they were able to rekindle the love of Jui Jitsu. I highly recommend this Jui Jitsu studio for any family looking to have their children participate in a fun sport, learn self-defense, build confidence with supportive instructors, and have a lot of fun while doing it.
