But these folks have learned from their years of experience and executed their responsibilities flawlessly. Warning - don't take lightly their advice to arrive very early at your prepaid parking lot. We arrived in the half hour window they suggested. Being parked several hours ahead of time did not seem necessary to me. But if we'd arrived at 8:15am instead of 7:45am, I don't think we would have found a place to park in the lot we'd paid to be in. read more

this company is a joke. bought tickets to view the floats after the parade. i stood in lone for over and hour around 2:30. after being in line for an hour i thought we would be let on the shuttle. shuttles began to slow down. it finally hit 4 and no announcement. stuck in the tennis courts and having no access to any employee we all stood around in confusion. 4:05 and still no sign of shuttles or an official announcement. it took other unhappy goers walking past us to let us know they were no longer running shuttles. why was there no announcement? we were just left in line. stood in lime for over and hour ans was left to believe we would make it in. if you cant handle the capacity why sell this many tickets ? over 100 people stood in line in the cold and just left abandoned. offices arent open until february. i will be disputing a refund. i spent $45 and 2 hours for nothing. this was completely disorganized and unprofessional. i will never be coming back. read more

I purchased parade tickets plus parking as my parents were visiting from another country. I wanted to make things easier for us as they are elderly and the assigned parking was supposed to be adjacent to the seating area. On the paperwork I received from Sharp Seating it stated that parking would open at 6 am and we needed to be parked by 7 am. I got to the area by 6:15 am and after following the instructions on the paper which said not to use GPS as many streets were going to be close, I couldn't find the parking lot for area 4. The paperwork they provided me with said to ask the police officers for assistance if needed. I asked over 6 different officers for directions to the 10 S Hill parking lot and they all gave me the same answers 1) "I don't know where that is" 2) "Oh I don't know, I'm not from the area" So now after paying $35 for parking and following the instructions I am left with no help as to how to find the parking lot. I had to pay another $20 to park at a random parking location nearby because I didn't want to waste my $ 60 seat tickets due to a poorly organized parking situation. So I ended up paying $55 for parking which is almost the price of a reserved seat for the event. This is why I am giving this company 1 start. They mention on the parking permit I received that there will be no refunds for unused tickets or dissatisfaction with parking assignment. If the people that are supposed to be able to guide me to my parking area don't know the area and can't help me, how is it fair for me not to get a refund for an unused parking permit? The event itself is very nice but Sharp Seating has a lot to work on. read more

I've been purchasing tickets from Sharp Seating for a number of years now and I can't even begin to express how great this company is to work with. The staff is always so nice, friendly, helpful and informative by far the best customer service. Being a family owned business they definitely aim to please and make all their customers happy. They provide maps and driving directions to make the drive easier and less hectic. I've sat in every area of the parade route and i must say there isn't a bad seat in the house. They always find the best seats possible for my family and I but always remember purchase early for more seating options. My wife and I attended the 2016 parade and unfortunately had some issues with our seats, which we had bought nearly a year in advance. Once Sharp Seating Company learned of our disappointment they were proactive in reaching out to us to make things right. The representative I spoke with was kind, sincere and understanding. She offered multiple solutions to rectify the situation, ultimately winning back two customers who had vowed to themselves never to return to the parade. At an event as large and complex as the Rose Parade, its understandable that problems can come up. How a company reacts to and handles those problems makes all the difference between a lost customer and a return customer. Although we may have had a one star experience at the event, we had a five star experience with the customer service at Sharp Seating Company. We will definitely be back to the parade again one day. read more

Ordered tickets on December 19 online as they tell you to. Have an Invoice and order number. No tickets by Dec 28 so call but don't get through. Call Dec 29 but don't get through. Call Dec 30...about 20 times and finally get through. Oh, there was a computer glitch and our tickets weren't processed. Yea, she could find me some tickets from whatever is left over, but I'd have to drive there, 50 miles round trip, and pick them up...which they charge me $10 to do. WTF. This was their mistake and they weren't even apologetic about it, much less helpful to correct the situation. So I'd say their customer service pretty much sucks and they completely ruined my Christmas present. We're moving out of state this coming year so this was my last chance to actually see the parade in person. read more

I ordered grandstand tickets with programs, parking, and post-parade tickets for the float viewing. When they came in the mail, I assumed the vouchers for the programs and post-parade event were barcoded into my tickets. WRONG! Had to buy the programs and couldn't go to the float viewing, as they never sent the vouchers. Now they are closed for January and I can't even call for a refund until February 1st. We purchased seats and parking for the 2018 Rose Bowl. Pros: - Assigned seating on the bleachers - Porta-potties inside the assigned seating area - Good view except for some trees and street lights Cons: - The rows on the bleachers were tight - The parking was terrible (at 700 E Union). The cars are packed into the lot filling both the parking spaces and the driveway itself. So you're basically land locked in and need to wait for other people (like 5-10 cars) to exit before your car can leave. read more

What a rip-off. I bought a ticket in advance to view Rose Parade floats at Rosemont Pavilion on December 31 between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. When I arrived at 10:45, hundreds of people already were in line. Volunteers said there was a bottleneck because they were checking people's bags at the entrance. By 11:30 the line stopped moving and rumors were circulating that no one else would be admitted. No one ever made an official announcement, but by 12:00 people started giving up and leaving. I emailed the company to request a refund but received no response. The company's voicemail says they are closed until February. Hundreds of people who had purchased tickets were turned away. I was waiting in line, when representatives came and informed us that Sharp Seating Company oversold the tickets, so we could not go inside. They told us to leave. Attended the 1/1/2013 Rose Parade. $90 per seat tickets for 150 Orange Grove, which ended up being 'formation line up' seats, but that fact was not disclosed on the Sharp Seating map. We too, missed a float, the beginning band, the Marine marching band, the Marine Mounted Color Guard, and several other things. I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the seats - especially since there was no notice that they weren't exactly 'the parade route', and the price was the same! Do not buy ANY tickets on Orange Grove Dr. if you expect to see and hear the parade! I felt like an outlaw in-law that was invited to the party but expected to sit in the other room! (Oh, but bring a gift.) This was a once in a lifetime event for us, and it was a disappointment. read more

I purchased four tickets from Sharp Seating for the 2011 Rose Parade. The tickets were the most expensive tickets available at $88 and I purchased them on the first day they went on sale almost 1 year before the parade. I was assured the seats were excellent. To my huge disappointment the parade started a block before our seats! We missed several of the floats, bands and even the grand marshal. When contacted Sharp Seating responded that the beginning floats, bands, and grand marshal were only for the t.v. cameras. Sharp Seating assured me these were the best seats! I would avoid Sharp Seating. Very disappointing to spend almost $400 and not see the entire parade. read more

Last time my parents came in town they wanted to see the parade, so I bought some bleacher seats for the whole family. What a nightmare. I can't believe they get away with using those bleachers. They are too steep and crowded to ever pass any kind of code- so why does the city let them endanger people? I'm 6'1"/185, and I literally could not sit in my seat without jamming my knees into the back of the person in front of me. I was so uncomfortable I finally left my freakin' unbelievably expensive seat and stood on the street because I was more comfortable that way. How they get away with charging so much and delivering so little is beyond me. All I know is you don't want to be up on that bleacher during any kind of emergency because you will be trapped and unable to escape. Bleachers should have to meet the same standards as permanently installed seating. Just because it's temporary shouldn't give them carte blanche to build a deathtrap. Horrible experience all around. For over 30 years we have looked forward to viewing the float decorating prior to the parade at Brookside and Rosemont tents just outside the Rose Bowl. The ticket was good for multiple locations. Today we were quite surprised to buy a $15 for six of us get to go to ONE tent to see just a few floats which then leads to a mini-festival with lots of brew for sale along with other vendors. Not a family-oriented event anymore. In the parking lot, folks continued to say it was best to go to Irwindale to see several dozens of floats. We went on-line to buy viewing tickets. The website said "not open to the public." If you want to take your family to see the floats go to the Rose Bowl for a 20 minute viewing and spend the next few hours buying drinks. Sorry to see the changes to this year's tradition. Sharp Seating Co. only sells the tickets and has nothing to do with the changes. read more

Was excited to get tickets for the 2015 parade. I tried calling Sharp Seating right at 9:00 a.m. the morning they went on sale. I got no answer on the phone. I tried repeatedly over an hour but always got the busy signal. So, afraid that I was going to lose out on really good seats I tried going on line to buy tickets. Everything is pretty self-explanatory on line and they show the block of seats that are being offered for sale on line, in red. And when you click on that block, a red arrow points to exactly where these seats are located on the street. Very helpful. There were only a few blocks of seats listed in red so I thought that all the other seats where I wanted to sit were sold out or saved for cronies, from past years, etc. So I purchased three seats right on the corner of Orange Grove and W. Colorado Blvd. I wanted seats further down and was curious about why they weren't being offered on line. So, the next day I called Sharp Seating, got through and asked them if the seats I really wanted (in the 414 block of W. Colorado Blvd.) were sold out and she said that they were not! I asked the girl if it was possible to change my tickets to the location I really wanted and she couldn't have been nicer. I just got my email confirmation for the seat change yesterday. I don't know why all the seats that are available are not open for purchase on line but they aren't. You have to call and talk directly to an agent to get the area you want to sit in. And when you buy your tickets, you are not given any seat assignments on that block so you won't know where you will be sitting in the bleachers until later in the year. It's a crap shoot but being in the block, or area you want to sit in is the best you can do. So, for what Sharp Seating's website lacks in usability, their personnel makes up for that in the long run. Could not have been more courteous and helpful. You just have to ask. And a hint on where to sit----do your research way before you go so you have all your "'ducks in a row". Hint---watch where the floats and bands perform during the live telecast and shoot for seats near there. Good luck! read more

This place is a wholesaler for tickets to the Rose Bowl, Rose Bowl Parade and related parking. They are completely disorganized and very poorly managed. Why can't we print out our tickets like we print out airline passes? Instead, you have to go and personally pick up your tickets at their store in Pasadena, which is total chaos. We went there at 11:30 AM on Dec. 31 and had to wait 45 minutes to get our tickets to see the pre-parade float exhibition at the Rose Palace. We rushed at arrived at 12:15PM to find 500 people waiting in line. Another horrible mismanagement case. After that, we threw away our $25 tickets and $5 parking and found something better to do. If you can buy tickets from someone else, do it! If you can avoid will-call, do it! This company should be ashamed of the service they provide. read more

Giving one star is too generous but zero isn't an option. From their own website it says you can bring stadium seats, so we packed ours and flew across the country for the Rose Parade only to be told at the gate that no seats were allowed. We walked 8 blocks back to the hotel to put them away and then walked back only to see people with the exact same seat being allowed in. I spoke to a "supervisor" who said a memo was put out to not allow them last week and they decided to allow them after all even though today the website still said they were allowed. So I was told that if I wanted to I could walk back to the hotel again and get my seat. I was also told my only recourse was to write a letter to the company. I won't waste my time writing them but I will share my review. Good luck if you buy from them. Zero organization, zero communication, zero customer service. read more

We purchased two $15 tickets to see parade float decorating at the Rosemont Pavillion between 11:00 and 1:00PM today. When we arrived at 11:15, the line was well over 1/4 mile long and were not able to view the floats before they closed. Obviously they way oversold the tickets. A Tournament of Roses ambassador told us they had never done it like this before by having one venue instead of several and indeed agreed that we had been "ripped off". read more

A shout out to Sharp Seating for our Rose Parade experience this past new years day. Great recommendations for seats for our party of 8...5 adults and 3 kids. Our grandstand seats were six rows up from the street with great views. Paid extra for parking but was worth it to drive into ramp and walk a half block to seats. Our location took one hour for start of parade to reach us so next time we will pay more to be closer to the beginning. We purchased our tickets online in February 2017 for 2018 New Years Day Parade. Our seats were great, front row in a bleacher section - loved the parade experience. The bathroom situation, however, was completely and unexpectedly inadequate. After 645, the lines were literally a block long. Way too few port-a-potties resulting in 30 minute waits. Excellent customer service! We bought tickets online to see the floats the day before the parade. We were told that we could get inside the building from 11:00-1:00 on Dec. 31st. We were in line by 10:30 a.m. The problem was they started bringing floats out and cut off a lot of people in line. They told us they weren't taking any more tickets. I asked for a refund by email, and I got a response and refund within a half day. Now that's service. Thanks, Sharp Seating! We were a bit disappointed that we didn't get in the building, but it wasn't Sharp Seating's fault. These morons don't even deserve a ONE. I purchased 2 Post Viewing Rose Parade tickets on-line on 12/28. Their "First Class" option was a dead link, so I clicked on the next option "Will Call for Bandfest" for $5 bucks, thinking it was a will call booth to pick up tickets. Wrong-O. I paid $5 bucks for some dumb musical band. THEY DON'T TELL U THAT ON THEIR WEBSITE. I called same day (on 12/28) and they said I had to pick up the tickets in person before 5 pm on 12/31, that there is no "Will Call" other than their office, and they are closed the month of January. Since there was no way I was driving an hour to Pasadena just to pick up tickets, then turn around and drive back again on January 2, we didn't get to go. Michelle from Sharp Seating told me she would refund the $25 since my credit card hadn't been processed yet, but naturally she did not and I got charged, so I am disputing the charges on my credit card. Their customer service is a NIGHTMARE and so is their website. read more
