Ten days later, I called for an update and was told the part hadn't even been ordered. Another ten days later, I was informed the part wasn't available, but they could try retrofitting a similar one. When I asked if there were other options, they said no--so I agreed. On the scheduled day, I took time off work, only to receive a call 30 minutes after they were supposed to arrive saying they could now order the correct part directly from the manufacturer--something they had previously claimed was impossible. To proceed, I had to pay in full immediately. Fast forward three months, and I still didn't have a working fireplace. For weeks, I was repeatedly told, "It should arrive next week." Finally, after expressing my frustration, I got a call at 5:00 PM saying they had located the part, expedited shipping, and could complete the repair the next day. I took another day off work. The technician arrived--but with the wrong part. Instead of tracking down the actual component, they gave him a universal one that didn't fit. They then assured me the correct part would arrive in two days. This time, my wife took the day off work. The technician showed up an hour and a half late (after I had called and reminded them we had rearranged our schedules for this), but they finally made the repair. Other issues worth noting: I was promised a callback from a manager or owner--still waiting on that. Their phone system is a mess. Every time I was placed on hold (which was often), someone else would pick up and begin a different conversation. I would explain who I was and they would say "oh, let me put you back on park." The three coldest months of winter without my primary heat source, multiple days off work, countless phone calls, and constant misinformation (what my generation would call lies). I will never use this company again.

We had some bumps in the road but because of the way those bumps were handled and fixed I would not hesitate in using ServPro again and highly recommending them to anyone needing mitigation and rebuilding. Justin, Mitch and Vincent did everything needed to fix the logistic problems and fix our cabin so it could be healthy and safe again. Vincint came up with the best plan out of any of the companies we had looked at for our cabin. Mitch took time out of his vacation with his family to inspect our cabin and ensure that the work we had planned was the right path to take. Justin was absolutely amazing, once he was given the project it was smooth sailing. Justin gave us updates regularly and questions answered promptly. The scope of our project plan made by Vincint included the following - in our crawl space two French drains and two sump pumps/lift stations were put in. To ensure we didn't end up with a small pool of water outside the cabin Justin came up with a plan to put in a 30-foot long 5-foot-deep French drain outside to drain the water from the pumps. They sealed the living space from the crawl space to minimize the humidity in the living area. A new structural beam was put in and, in the process, Justin saved us a substantial amount of money by measuring and inspecting the concrete footing that was already there and then having the existing footing ok'd by the engineer. The outside and inside of the cabin look great. The only indication that a 5-foot-deep trench was dug is the lack of vegetation. Inside the cabin there is absolutely no indication that dirt was wheelbarrowed out of the crawl space or equipment moved through the cabin. We're so extremely happy with how everything turned out!!!

Not a GOODMAN. After they installed HVAC system I gathered all model numbers and found retail prices for system. I could have bought this exact system for $4250. Plus labor and refrigerant. Difference of $11933. Divide by 19 hour means Advanced Home Services charged me $628. hour. After many calls and emails later Advanced Home Services agreed to refund $3000. This brought the hourly wage down to $459. hour. Sorry but no HVAC installer is worth $459. hour. Bottom line Advanced Home Systems cheated me out of my hard earned money and they do not care about anybody unfortunate enough to become their customer. I will never fall victim to these PREDATORS again. They are dishonest and cheaters.
