But the main reason I'm writing a negative review is after finally getting seated, I find the chair and counter station is full of hair and dirty from the previous client. The stylist isn't prepared and disappeared again to grab the steam machine! So not only did they rob me of my time but after patiently waiting, they robbed my experience. My hair was down to my collar, and Sue took great care of me. She was professional, welcoming, and very accommodating. I walked out actually looking and feeling like a new man, which doesn't happen often these days. The entire staff was friendly and made the experience relaxed and comfortable. The shop itself has a strong sports theme, which I really enjoyed--especially since my favorite team, the Wolverines, were front and center. I've been to places that slap the word "barbershop" on the door and think posters and attitude make up for skill. Never again, this is the 5th or 6th time I've gone here, first few times Manal's, the owner did a…read moregood job in trimming my hair which has been all one length past the middle of my back. The 2nd to the last time she cut off a bit more than a micro trim let's say an inch... when I went in this past Thursday, I asked that she give me very long layers, my hair was down to my waist- I have no idea what she heard or thought but in the end she cut off 4 inches and then layered- totally ruining my hair- now I have to let it grow out so it can be fixed- it's very choppy, long pieces of hair here and there and she charged me 50$, what a joke- she is definitely off her game. And I won't ever be back. I am sick over it and her comment was I think it looks better hmmm .. no it doesn't! It took me a solid 3 years to grow it out! I'm humiliated and very upset to say the least! Never again!!! And might I add she waxes your eyebrows way too thin, it's not the 80's anymore! SMH!
