I had some warranty repair successfully taken care of on my battery powered Makita chainsaw. If I could give more stars I would. Chris responded quickly to my call regarding our refrigerator…read morenot working. The freezer was fine, thank goodness. We had purchased our Kenmore refrigerator about 10 years ago and he explained it wasn't easy to get parts. He did try replacing one part as we really didn't want to purchase a new one if it could be avoided. Unfortunately that didn't work. He was really upfront that it would be best to get a new refrigerator vs. spending more time and money on a fix. He probably came out to our house 3 or 4 times and didn't charge us more than the diagnostic fee. I thought was incredibly fair since he spent so much time trying to remedy the problem. Chris is very trustworthy. 5 +++ stars!

After the repair, the fridge still leaked and frosted. After investigation on my part, I found that the temperature was not cold enough and needed to refill freon which was quoted at 800 dollars. I agreed and after three weeks, I found another person to do the freon for 300 bucks. Chris did respond after I texted with updates saying someone was out of town and when he return, could do the work. Extremely unhappy that this could not be resolved after paying so much for apparently a simple repair.

I tried a few remedies from Amazon that were frankly crap so took a run down to RCR to see if they could help... One week later I am the proud owner of a one piece brushed stainless steel surround and it looks great.. small job but meant a lot.. only issue was my written measurements were misinterpreted (scribbled like a caveman) but they rectified it on the spot which was cool. Thanks RCR, highly recommended and will use them again when I have an excuse...

Andrew saved our heirloom bassinet!!!…read more My family has kept a willow whicker antique bassinet in the family for 4 generations, and 100 years. It unfortunately didn't fare well in the last 30 or so (my dad stored it in the garage, and may have hit it with his car at one point) and I thought it was a lost cause. Not so! Andrew was able to work miracles on it. I don't think it's looked this good since 1988. He finished it just in time for our at home DIY newborn photoshoot. My cousin said she was surprised anyone could fix the "pile of twigs" or "birds nest" and so we did a few photos of our little one in it with an avian theme haha. Thank you Andrew!

Five stars for Derrick's Appliance Repair!…read more When our dishwasher broke down, I was dreading the hassle and the cost. I called Derrick's Appliance in Capitola for a repair and was relieved right away. They picked up, listened, and got me on the schedule [same day / within a day or two].
