THE WORST EXPERIENCE I ever had with a new business. They ignored a customer who showed up right in appt time. Super rude. They don't even say hi if they don't recognize you. The owner obviously only prioritizes friends and repeat customers, so maybe they don't care about new people.. If you don't want to waste your time and ruin your day, DON'T TRY a this spot. Don't want to even add one star. Looking for a new barber to try? Find one that is welcoming to people they don't know, and doesn't force you to an ATM in the store to pay cash. read more

I've only allowed a handful of people to ever cut my hair. I've been getting my hair cut from Sheldon for a little over 12 years. Followed him thru his progression as a barber and now as a business owner in Lafayette & Pleasant Hill. He and his staff have always been courteous and professional. Nothing but positive things to say about this crew. read more

Great haircut by Stephanie. I was a little late but she was ready to go. Gave great suggestions and the results were awesome.

I made a haircut appointment in this establishment. The barber assigned to me arrived 8 minutes late and without wearing a mask. I asked him if he was vaccinated. He pleasantly replied that he is naturally vaccinated. The owner who was sitting in a chair, also without a mask, chimed in that we don't ask this question in his shop. I don't understand how someone is naturally vaccinated. I'm a senior and was appalled by lack of regard for my health and safety. read more

I am SUPER picky when it comes to who I let cut my hair, because I have had some bad experiences. Let me tell you, you will never regret coming to this place for a haircut. Not only is my hair perfect every time I leave, but all the guys in the shop are really cool and fun to talk to. I live in Virginia now and every time I come back to CA to visit I make the 40 min drive to this place for a fresh cut. I typically get my hair cut by Jonathan, but I would trust anyone in this shop too. 10/10 recommend. read more

This is honestly one of the nicest barbershop's I've ever seen. The shop glows from its amazing corner location. Big plus there's tons of parking! The owner Sheldons level of professionalism is out of this world. The level of pride he takes in his cuts, and the standard he holds his crew to is top notch. I've followed Sheldon on his journey through multiple shops over the years watching him finally be able to attain and build his Lafayette location into a town staple. Now seeing what he's doing here in Pleasant hill is nothing short of inspiring and shows what hard work and putting out a great product will do. How many places can you enjoy a complimentary beer or whiskey while getting a haircut? Well you can here! Even though it is a Gentleman barbershop he embraces your family like it's his and embraces the family friendly atmosphere. I've had a reoccurring appointment every 2 weeks for years and my daughters who is now 2 has been coming with me to 95% of my appointments since she was 3 months old. Every time she's greeted with a high 5 and a warm welcome. She honestly gets excited when we hop in the truck and I tell her we're going to go see Sheldon. How many people can say that about your Barber? Bottom line is these guys are some of the best at their craft in the SF Bay Area and you get what you pay for. You want a worried free great haircut and fantastic experience that keeps you coming back? Than this is your place! If you're looking for a bargain or a deal not knowing what your end result will be? Then I'm sure there's a Supercuts or SportsClips somewhere near by. read more

Ever heard the phrase catching lightening in a bottle? Well, Sheldon and the Sharp Barbershop team have done it twice with this new location. Upon entering, the awe and wow factor is immediately noticeable. The Sharp team spares no detail with the look of the shop in addition to delivering hands down the best haircuts in the game. I've been seeing Sheldon and the Sharp team for the last 5 years and am never let down with the quality of my cut. It's a regular occurrence after a haircut to receive an influx of compliments from men and woman alike. Stop wasting time with whoever you are seeing now and lock down a spot at this new location because I guarantee the waitlist is going to become longer and longer as time goes on. read more

My husband was looking for a hair cut with scissors instead of clippers, he has curly hair and wanted something current but age appropriate. Sheldon, the owner, recommended Jamin. Booking online was super easy. Everybody in the shop, barbers and fellow customers alike, were welcoming and friendly to my husband, my son and me while we waited. And most importantly, Jamin delivered exactly what my husband was hoping for! He's very happy with the cut, the beard trim looks great too. Highly recommend Jamin! read more

Sheldon has been cutting my hair since 2010 and I won't go anywhere else. He's not just a great barber, he's also a great guy. When you walk in, you instantly feel like you're around family. The vibe is so cool and comfortable that I often stay after my haircut is done and chop it up with the guys. I can be pretty picky and am always changing my mind about how the haircut I want to try. Sheldon has always left me happy with the cut and always advises me on the best style to choose. It's so encouraging to see a young man like Sheldon with goals and a plan in mind, and to watch as they become reality. You really feel like you're a part of it. Get a cut from Sheldon or one of the other barbers at least once. I guarantee you won't be disappointed and you won't want to go anywhere else! read more
