Dr. Bhukhen is a rare genius. A friend of mine referred me to her when I was looking for a new GP…read moreafter I changed insurances. I knew something bizarre was wrong with me. On our very first meeting, Dr. Bhukhen listened to my odd concerns in a very serious way. She carefully considered my symptoms in comparison to my medical hx. She ordered imaging that day. Within a week she found (what looked to be a) rare endocrine tumor growing happily within my right adrenal gland. This was after 5-10 years of physicians dismissing my odd cluster of symptoms as untreatable or as coincidences. After the initial (still unconfirmed) diagnosis, I could not get into see an endocrinologist for another 3 months. My insurance allowed me to be seen at Stanford. A few weeks later, I had the tumor removed by Dr. Electron Kebebew, Stanford's Head of Endocrine Surgery. By the time I was rolled into the recovery room ~ all symptoms gone! Dr. Bhukhen's initial diagnosis was confirmed. This, took place only a few months after she courageously sent me for imaging immediately following our very first appointment together. Brilliant physician. I am filled with appreciation for her gifts, and that our paths crossed. Dr. Bhukhen = my HERO!

I wanted to discuss medications for mental health struggles. When I showed up, there was bibles in the lobby and the atmosphere was just eery and unfriendly. When I was finally called back I was led to a room and there was a BLOODY CRUCIFIX on the wall. I asked if this was a religious practice and was told no and he looked at me like i was crazy for asking?? The whole thing was so weird. We sat on complete opposite ends of the room and I felt like I was a test subject being studied. I said I wanted to leave and was genuinely afraid. To this day I have no clue what this family is about, but I didn't care to uncover all that and would not recommend.

After his first visit with her, and we saw how patient and compassionate she was we decided to switch to her. Dr. Dhanda is the most thorough doctor out there, with the best bedside manners. I had a chronic joint issue that went on for about 5 years undiagnosed by my previous doctor. She spent a great deal of time reviewing all my blood work and tests from over 7 years to facilitate in determining a cause. After she ordered a specific blood test for me she referred me to a specialist, and together they figured out what was causing my pain. During all my visits she has been nothing but extremely patient, caring and pleasant. She'll genuinely ask about my dad and wife, and the kids. Whenever I've emailed her through MySutter she has gotten back to me well within 24 hrs., and has seen me last minute or changed appointments last minute. If you're looking for a great doctor that will be there for you, has outstripped bedside manners, friendly, compassionate and thorough, then look no further. I ended up seeing both the PA and NP in her office before finally getting to see and establish care with Dr. Dhanda herself. Both the NP and PA were very nice, friendly and attentive I just knew I ultimately wanted Dr. Dhanda. The wait was worth it, she is so nice, actually listens to my concerns and is easy to work with. Only conversation, which easily allowed Dr. Bains to manipulate that conversation into an office visit when I mentioned an ankle issue. The only problem was that the "office visit" did not include even a look at my ankle. Just the mention of my ankle made it an office visit, on top of the non existent annual physical exam! I still have to have a doctor examine my ankle. Dr. Bains, in no way, shape or form earned the money that my insurance company gladly paid him, not to mention some out of pocket costs from me. And we wonder why our insurance premiums are skyrocketing!
