If I could give ZERO stars, I would. It took three months and two pre-appointments with other staff before I met her. You'd think in all that time she would have read my chart... within 5min of meeting her she suggested I get Electro-shock Therapy for my MDD... After that appointment, she sent me to a Specialist that was out-of-network, sticking me with a $600 bill - I'm on Disability and that's almost half my monthly income. 6mo. later, when I went in for a follow up appointment, she reintroduced herself having forgotten she me before. Dr. Abalos is a shining example of all that is wrong with Primary Care Physicians of today. read more

A primary care physician who is very knowledgeable and caring. Great experience with her.

Would not recommend this Dr office. Was seen here for a couple of years. At first it was great but after a few visits I noticed that I never saw the same doctor. Always a new nurse practitioner who weren't even aware of my medical history making it seem like it was my first appointment every time I went there. I got tired of explaining my problems to someone new every time. I have been dealing with back pain for a few years now and they referred me to physical therapy. I did 20 visits of therapy with no relief and paid nearly $800 in copays. After PT didn't work, they said they were going to refer me to the spine and nerve center. A couple days later the front desk called me and told me that the spine and nerve center does not accept my insurance and that I would have to find a place that would. I spent months in pain feeling hopeless. Fast forward to now, I got a new doctor and got into the spine and nerve center within a month. Turns out they do accept my insurance! I have been sick before with some kind of chest infection and Abalos literally told me not to call back if I do not get better, that it was just a virus! read more

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this office deserves it to help save potential patients the trouble of finding out the HARDWAY. We were set up with appointments at outside facilities that we were told are in our network. Received and were stuck with bills for more than 1000 dollars for out of network. Had we went in network it wouldve been covered 100%. Also was charged for things that never happened and told that if the insurance wont cover theyll just remove the charge. How shady is that? Trust the reviews, find another doctor. read more

A few years ago I would have given 5 stars. I tried to give benefits of the doubt to Dr. Abalos, but having dealt directly with her, I realize how unprofessional and her unwillingness to help was. Like many other reviewers have said, my health concerns were ignored. It was obvious she didn't want to help. read more

We have been going to Dr. Abalos for almost two years. She has been fantastic and always responds to any questions we have or if we need to be referred to another doctor. It has been crazy times with covid but if you have to go in they are very careful and we feel safe. Otherwise you can do a video visit which is easy to do too. We appreciate her very much. read more

Beautifully renovated office space! Seems as though the team has made many improvements to their system- Much more organized than years past! read more

Wow...the whole experience at this doctor's office was interesting to say the least. I recently switched medical groups and I was looking for a new PCP. My first exam with Dr. Abalos was very unsettling. Don't get me wrong, I am huge dog lover - but I really don't think they belong in an exam room or waddling around the halls. Somehow I don't feel like she's really listening to me when her dog is scratching at the door or whining in the room. Second, she interrupted me in mid-sentence to take a cell phone call, without even an "oh sorry, I am waiting for an important call" or anything. It didn't sound important at all and it was very rude. I did not feel comfortable with this doctor and will not be returning. read more

Well, I have to take back my 5 star review. A couple months after my initial physical and consult (during which time we discussed my kidney issues) I called in because I was having a kidney stone attack and asked to be seen so I could get some pain meds to manage it. Now bear in mind, my kidney stone issues are well documented over a 30 year period...I've had 5 treatments to blast a huge stone, as well as countless trips to the ER to deal with pain I could not manage on my own (sometimes I can, sometimes I can't). Dr. Aballos has all my medical records documenting these facts and I made sure she understood that this was an ongoing dilemma with my health. So when I called in to be seen for my pain that was not quite severe enough to warrant a trip to the ER, but severe enough that I needed some assistance, the front desk lady put me on hold for a few minutes, and then came back and said "our first available appt is in 4 days". I explained this was a kidney stone and I was in pretty serious pain, but not emergency level, and that the doctor is aware of my condition. She said sorry...hope you feel better soon. Do you still want that appt? Moving on to a new doctor. read more

Dr. Abalos is great! She's also pinay. Fast service. Beautiful decor and very clean. Most of the staffs are Filipino read more

Terrible doctor!! All she cares about is her license. She will refer you to any and all specialists to protect HERSELF! She does NOT care at all about her patients! Nurse practitioners come and go faster then I've ever seen in a doctor's office. read more

Dr. Abalos has been my primary physician for a few years now. She was highly recommended by my Ob/Gyn (who sees Dr. Abalos as well). I love her! She is attentive, gives eye contact when listening to you, makes me feel comfortable, and is mindful of whole-body wellness, both mental and physical. I am pleased with her medical skills, treatments and explanations. In my time there, I've seen a few new staff come and go, and this disruption is always hard on an office. I feel they handle the transitions adequately, and I am happy to be understanding as well as proactive, because as a healthcare provider myself, I know how the flow gets kinked up when training in a new assistant. I'm sorry for those posting reviews who had problems with followup or records. That's certainly frustrating. I just wanted to put in my two cents worth. read more

At first I really liked Dr. Abalos. But after a few visits I came to notice she didn't seem to have much concern, also some of the office staff are very kind, but others are very rude. I have had several times where no one even answers, or then don't even return my messages. Dr abalos seems to have more patients than she can actually manage. They also randomly said i owed them money, when I do not. and have called me over and over, and sent a ton of mail trying to get money from me that I do not owe them. I would not recommend, keep your health in mind and go elsewhere! read more

I like Dr. Abalos, but they do not return calls, nor answer the phone often. It is hard to get an appointment quickly. It seems like there are far too many patients for adequate care to be taken of us all. Otherwise Dr. Abalos is a kind woman, though she has basically given up on me, without testing much, disappointed but giving her a few more chances before I decide to switch. read more

I did not feel comfortable here. Small, dingy waiting room with portable fans blowing all over the place. Whoever answers the phone sometimes is so hard to understand though she does seem very sweet. The doctor is kind but just didn't click with my son. read more

This office is so stupid. The waiting room where they question patients health history should not also be that damn break room for their employees I should have just walked out then. I had to been seen by the nurse practitioner who stuck me in this room the size of a small shoe box and tried to really give me a pelvic exam when she's crammed against the wall and stuck between a chair like no way!!! They sent my prescription all the way to south Sacramento on when I live in Roseville and I gave them the name of my pharmacy before I was even seen. Labs weren't ordered correctly this is the most unorganized office ever. read more

Dr. Abalos is my PCP. I have seen her several times throughout the year and have yet to experience any issues. The office is kept clean, as well are the exam rooms. The staff is very friendly and Dr. Abalos is very professional, knowledgeable, and has always made me feel comfortable. My favorite thing about this site, is that they play Air One/alternative Christian music throughout the office. That may be a turn off for some, but I love it :) read more

I recently moved to the area, so I transferred my PCP to Dr. Anna Abalos' office. I had a good first visit. I was in and out quickly but didn't feel rushed. The environment was really nice in the waiting room. I didn't meet with the doctor for this visit but instead met with the nurse practitioner, Wendy I think her name was? She was patient with me even though I had a lot of questions. I tried looking for the dog that I heard they keep there (I love dogs) but I didn't see it! Lol oh well, maybe next time.. read more

I think 1 star is being too kind. I've been here a few times and every time has been a bad experience. 1) She has a dog in the office and when I was in for a migraine the dog would not stop barking. It had a sharp and piercing bark that put me over the top. I almost had to leave without being seen. 2) She does not prescribe birth control. As someone with a high deductible I cannot afford going to multiple doctors for my medications. 3) Twice she has left my room mid-consultation to answer a PERSONAL phone call. 4) She has a staff member with a STRONG accent and took me FIFTEEN minutes just to make an appt. I recently changed my PCP and could not be happier. read more

Why hasn't she lost her license yet ? She had me give pills to my mom against her will. My mother told her that these pills she has been told have side effects dizziness and confusion. My mom refused to take them and dr. Abalos insisted that I make sure she take them. The pills in fact did make her confused dizzy and weak. This cost a downfall in her health which in the long run contributed to her death. read more

I just moved back to the Roseville area and made an appointment with Dr. Abalos' office and was seen right away. The staff were friendly and helpful. I met with Laura Harper a PA and she really took the time to listen to what I had to say. read more

I just had my first visit with Dr. Abalos' office. I read the reviews here, both positive and negative, and have to say that I think things must have greatly improved over time. The office staff was terrific, as was the nurse practitioner whom I saw. I was given a printed summary at the end of the visit and a call two days later to let me know the (good) results of a test. There was no dog, and my history was taken in an exam room, not an employee break room. Most of all, the atmosphere was positive and upbeat, and everyone was helpful and listened well. Definitely a five star office. read more

This office has the most incompetent office staff. Whenever I have called it is a 15 to 20 minute wait on hold. I have called several times to get a referral and I never get the referral. Then when I call back to tell them I never got the referral they proceed to ask for other information they need before completing the referral process. Dr abalos is nice but out of the 6 times I have been there in6 years I have only seen her twice. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Abalos for a few years now and I will definitely be switching! The staff at the front desk is very unorganized and they've been rude to me multiple times. The lady that checks people in Erly, should NOT be working with people. She was the worst, not only in person but also over the phone. Dr Abalos herself didn't know what was wrong with me and instead of referring me to a specialist like she should have, instead blamed it on another medical issue I have which is completely unrelated. (problem with my feet have nothing to do with my stomach). After that visit, I switched and started seeing the nurse practioner Wendy who I liked in the beginning. That is, until I stumped her as well and then she started GOOGLING my symptoms in front of me. Umm excuse me, I can do that at home... I agree with some of the other reviews in that they NEVER return your calls, don't call you with test results and are not thorough. I had to go back multiple times for further testing which should have been done in the first place. Not impressed... read more

I had been having a lot of pain for a two week period hoping that it would subside. Fortunately, when I called the office they offered me an appointment the very next day and I was received in a professional manner, Dr. Abalos was great. She listened to my concerns and was able to diagnose the problem in no time at all! Highly recommend!!! read more

I have never written a public bad review about a business, however I feel compelled to for this particular practice since health care is very personal and everyone wants to find the right dr. to fit their personality & style. I contacted Dr. Abalos's office over a month and a half ago to make a new patient appointment. Our insurance had changed, that is what forced the move & my husband just picked someone close to home. Anyway when I made the appointment I let the person I was talking to know I was coming up on a refill on a medication that needs to be taken daily. She didn't really seem to care or want to put in any effort to try and get me in as soon as possible. I chose to overlook it and not make a big deal and took the next available appoibtment that was over 3 weeks out. When I arrived at the appoibtment a half hour before the actual appointmebt as was instructed because I needed to fill out new paperwork, I walked into a total disarray. I wasn't greeted for over 5 min. Office staff were falling all over each other due to the confined space of the front desk area and when I got up to the actual window and looked down at the desk all of it was covered in stacks upon stacks of messy patient files, fax papers, misc office stuff. I was shocked. I had never experienced an office that messy before in a professional environment. Once paperwork was filled out I waited for over an hour before they called me back. However when they did bring me in, they only brought me to a nurses station to take my stats (weight, temp, etc). The nurse assisting me fumbled around with trying to take everything down and figure out how to utilize the instruments. She had me standing in a major walking area where people kept having to walk around me or I would have to move so they could get to their things. Again have never experienced this before, usually they weigh you, then take you to a room and take everything else. I felt so in the way and everything felt so "in the open" that I felt uncomfortable. After they took my stats they sent me BACK to the waiting room where I waited another 20 min before I was called back to a room. Once I met the Dr. She was nice, warm & seemed genuinely interested in my health and my concerns. By the time I finally got out of the office I had been there for over an hour and 45 min!!! Totally unacceptable in my opinion. Then what prompted me to write this review was tonight I called the office at 4:40 to let them know I thought I had contracted pink eye and was wondering if I could come in immediatly so I could start on the eye drops asap. I would have been to the office by 4:50pm as I only live 5 min from the practice. The girl that answered the phone said she "needed to check" and put me on hold for a minute or so, then came back and said. "No I'm sorry we will have to find a place to fit you in tomorrow." WOW!! Really?? A 2 min appoibtment TOPS since all you have to do is look at my eye, agree yup it's pink eye and order my drops. TERRIBLE. I understood it was closing time and people have families and need to be places, but all I needed was eye drops, not like I was coming for a physical or blood draw or any other tests. At that point I was completely disgusted by the way that office operates and I will be finding another office. So in short-if you don't mind a totally messy office, incompetent staff, plus waiting beyond too long to get into your appoibtment, well then she is the Dr. For you & I wish you luck. read more
