I love Dr. Grewal and team, they are wonderful and I've been a patient for years. I have had wonderful quality of care over the years. The lab staff here are hit or miss. Some a very friendly and others need better customer service training. read more

I called in for a follow up physical due to not having one and checking up on my health. When I called, a lady picked up and she asked for a date of birth. When she ask me for what the appointment is for she tells me I have to place down an $300 MINIMUM just to secure an appointment. I was very confused because I have never been to any medical facility that would ask me for a deposit ESPECIALLY over $300!!!!!!! read more

Better to go to the urgent care at the main Sutter hospital location than here. The prior visit was lab work - rude check in - rude lab guy. The last time I called they decided that since I had not been here in awhile that I was a new patient. No problem, sign me back up! "Sorry we are closed to your insurance for new patients"= the same one I have used here for years. Pretty sure they just got rid of me because of the Blue Cross EPO I have. The new patient lady that I talked to over the phone was horrible; slow and just not interested. In retrospect it's a good thing they got rid of me over my insurance. I need to find a better doctor and staff which shouldn't be too difficult when you get the poor service they provide here. read more

They have done a front desk staff make over that give excellent customer service. And doctor Bains and his assistant Taina are 2 of the best medical teams I've ever had. I've had many doctors over the years that were good. But Dr Bains gives that extra personal experience that makes you feel comfortable and that he cares. He isn't rushing you along to get to the next patient, he takes his time to hear you and he is very friendly. His assistant Taina is up there in the top 10 of best nurses I've ever had too. They are a great team and just great humans period. Great customer service seems to be harder to find anymore. That's why I'm giving this shout out to them, they deserve to be recognized. If you want a medical group where you feel like part of a herd of cattle, look no further, you have come to the right place. Dr. Julie Bauer and Sutter medical group is your one stop medical/healthcare facility that will spend 5 minutes with you and charge you outrageously. She never informs you of the various levels in which can be billed to you so you can pay thru the nose for a 5 minute medical exam. Not only that, but she makes inappropriate remarks about your condition. Question...why did you make this your career? Was it to truly help people or are you just part of the belief that supporting your lifestyle is more important than a patient? Why is the patient made to absorb your groups liability? I will start off by saying I am like most people extremely busy and just trying to squeeze in scheduling myself a doctors appointment is next to impossible, but at the nagging/encouraging of my wife I did and thank you for my insurance for making me switch doctors this year. So i make an appointment to see the Dr at this office today and things are looking good. I clear my schedule and I even leave work early knowing that I there will be new patient paperwork to fill out. I show up get up the the reception desk and everything is still looking good. I grab my paperwork and go sit down and start answering all those weird questions about how do I feel about myself and how is my outlook on life, do i want help with my drinking, am I being abused, do I like to yell? Seriously what does this have to do with anything? Sorry a little tangent....anyway here I sit 15...20...30...45 minutes have now gone bye! Finally I walk up to the desk and I ask "Am I ever going to get seen today not being rude, but if I am late for an appointment or cancel you guys charge me?" No sorry sir but let me check? 5 Minutes late the receptionists comes back and says again no sorry, but the Dr left and wont be back? Huh? they left? When were you going to tell me this? We called you at home? I am sitting in your waiting room? But we called you at home? I am not at home? You can see were this is going...still no sorry let me see about another Dr seeing you but rather lets get you another date. Now I have wasted 1.5 hours of my day but lets not inconvenience anyone else? Here is the kicker the Dr was never there when I asked if they knew this when I checked in they said yes! seriously why did they have me wait around around for 45 minutes and waste all this time? Only to say we called you at home!!!! Still no sorry or anything!!! This was by far the worst Dr office experience I have received outside of an experience I had at the UC Davis Medical Center 1.5 years ago. Came in for stat labs drawn. The lobby was clean and they were pretty efficient. About 5 people checked in at the same time as me. I was anticipating a very long wait since there was one phlebotomist drawing and the other one checking patients in. It only took 10m to get me out of the door. It was great and they were super nice! I went last week for a yearly check up and to do my paps.... The dr. is nice, friendly and answered my questions right. ( I mean you just google and know nowadays) I did my blood test just close by in another room in the bldg. it was quick. so really no complaints....... but I am not too crazy for going twice one as a first time patient and the second time to do the paps whereat it can be done all in the same visit within 30 min all. (questions and paps) that's the only negative, and of course the second visit they charged 20$ co-pay when I think it should be free since it is a maintenance check up still...... read more

Today I went in for a Flu Shot and the lady that took me back seemed very rushed. Must've been the co-worker she wanted to go talk to that interrupted her during my shot. That is flat out rude. The lady at the front desk was also rude too. There is a tone of voice that comes off as disrespectful and this was it. I asked for a doctors note as an excuse for school and they said I couldn't have one because I didn't have an appointment?! I had my shot lined up for a week now and I need a slip for school and they don't allow that? Good thing I'll be out of this area in a few months for college. Hopefully their customer service gets better because that was unacceptable to make a patient feel the way I did. read more

This review is for the Sutter Rocklin Family Medicine on 1160 Sunset Blvd, Rocklin CA, 95765: This Sutter Rocklin Office cheats. Don't use them. In 2015 my doctor left, they assigned me a new doctor. I made an appointment for physical checkup (which was 100% covered by insurance). They told me the doctor wouldn't do physical checkup unless she already knew her patient. So they assigned a nurse to do the checkup, I didn't get to see my new doctor (by the way, the nurse did a very sloppy job). 2 weeks later, this Office called me and asked to set up a visit with the doctor. I came in a 2nd time to see the doctor so I could have her do the physical checkup next time. They sent me a bill for this "get to know" visit. I had to pay. In 2016 I went to another Office, met a new doctor. He didn't have to "know" me to do the physical checkup. Everything went well. I didn't have to pay a dime. Only one trip to get my checkup done, the doctor did a very good job too. However, the new Office is quite far for me, not on my way to work as the Sutter Rocklin Office is. So this year I decided to give this Office another try. My doctor in 2015 left (the lady doctor who wouldn't do physical checkup unless she knew her patients). They assigned me another doctor (by the way, their doctor turnover rate was very high, I had 3 doctors in a short time!!!!). The checkup went very fast, "you're very healthy which makes my job much easier", the doctor said, he's in and out in a flash. Today, they send me a bill. Remember this is a yearly physical checkup, should be free. I called and the billing department said that the appointment was indicated as an "Office Visit", not a physical checkup that's why the charge. See how cheating this Office is? I'm a very healthy person, I go to doctor only once a year, for physical checkup. Only at this Office I had these troubles. The reason I chose this Office was because it's right on my way to work. But I won't ever come back to it again. Be careful if you decide to use this Sutter Rocklin Office. I don't know how to give less than 1 star (seems like 1 star is the smallest I could go). Sutter Medical has become a revolving door for physicians. I have had 3 doctors in 5 years because they leave, unable to work with Sutter management. Every time one leaves they require you to come in for an office visit even to renew a prescription. This place has degraded so badly in the past 2 years that I had to find a new provider. Being new to Rocklin and an established patient for the past 4 years with Sutter health in a different area, I went to this office(rocklin) to inquire about the radiology department for getting a chest xray done for my false positive Tb test(for volunteering purposes). Since I was vaccinated for it in a different country when I was child I was told that all my tests are gonna be false positive and my chest xrays are accurate to say I am negative TB. The front office staff treated me like as if I was a patient with TB and on top she was so rude she threw a business card across the table towards me that had the details of the radiology department in Roseville. I also asked her about establishing a new patient data with one of the doctors in that office and she said all the doctors in that office are not accepting new patients.where as the hospital's webpage says the particular doctor is accepting news patients. IF YOU ARE DEAD SACRED THINKING THAT YOU MIGHT GET INFECTED, JUST BECAUSE YOU WORK IN A HOSPITAL THEN WHY THE HECK WORK IN A HOSPITAL..DO YOU THINK PEOPLE GO TO HOSPITALS JUST TO DO WELLNESS CHECKS . If it is at all possible to give them a -rating I would. My partner was scheduled for his colonoscopy several months ago. We have been playing "I didnt screw up - another employee did" game with them for several weeks now. Received confirmation (in writing) and all for this Friday (Sept 6) and to date - they kept SCREWING up the insurance paperwork and so now we are not sure if it will be rescheduled. Apparently with Sutter it is the patient's responsibility to coordinate insurance, we spoken with several staff (last week we were given the green light that everything is in order) but after all the stupid misinformation we followed up with the insurance provider ourselves. Guess what - their staff merely open and close the request so although we were told its all good, the insurance company received a request and a close request from them - essentially NADA!! My poor partner started his prep diet already and because THEY SCREWED up - he ended up paying the full cost of his prep solution ($50 instead of $0). And do you think they would take responsibility?????????? We have been playing merry go round with stupid SUTTER and must have made at least 10 calls on this same topic. Today is Tuesday, and the procedure is set for Friday.. Probably going to end up being cancelled - yes after we took time off work, arrange for transportation and all. So far we have paid $50 out of pocket which we will never see again. And NO ONE EVEN APOLOGIZE other than say, " the person who completed the request did not do it correctly" and to call back tomorrow between 0800-1700. I got the same procedure done through UC DAVIS and they took care of EVERYTHING - start to finish. STUPID SUTTER!! WORST HMO in the entire state. read more

Being rather new to the area I needed to find a new PCP. My wife discovered Dr. Roberts and interviewed her. She seemed to be a good fit for our family's needs. Nearly a year later and we are very pleased with her services that she has been able to render. Her office staff seems a little mechanical and could warm up a bit but this has no reflection on her or her abilities to treat accurately. She is courteous and listens well. I felt she genuinely cares about me and my health needs. She currently is not accepting new patients and this is a testament to her work. Should she have openings I highly recommend her. read more

Dr. Baur is great! Straight to the point and asks about anything that may be bothering you and talks it through with you. However, the staff is not service oriented the wait time is extremely long if you make an appointment you will be waiting for 20+ minutes to even be taken back. Lady at the front desk is extremely rude. I had an appointment with a nurse that should have lasted under 10 minutes all together and I waited for over 30 minutes in the lobby then another 20 to see the nurse. Just insanely long wait times. And not worth it when ever other medical foundation won't make you wait if you have a scheduled appointment. Also they will schedule you an appointment just to have you show up and for them to inform you that they cannot help you with the specific thing you made an appointment for and reschedule you I had this happen 4 times to me personally. read more

I'm not usually one to dwell on negative experiences but I had an absolutely terrible experience with the staff at this office. The first time I called to make a new patient appointment I was told that I could not get in with the doctor I originally planned on seeing until March. Since I had a persistent sinus infection, that was not going away, I reluctantly accepted the next available appointment with another doctor who was available in just three days. Note that this office has just a 10 minute grace period for new patients, which is not disclosed (nor is the address confirmed) as you are making your appointment over the phone. Should you have trouble locating the office and call for direction clarification, they will refuse to see you if you arrive 15 minutes late. For someone who commutes 30 minutes from their full-time job, is well-insured and has been an established patient within the Sutter Medical system for two years this is unacceptable to me. Moreover, when I asked when would be the next available time for the doctor to see me, I got a "well he MAY come in tomorrow, but he's not sure." incompetent customer service and no flexibility for new patients at all. Based on this experience alone I will definitely NOT be selecting a doctor from or recommending this poorly run office to my friends, family or colleagues. read more

The office staff is not helpful, caring, or efficient. Rude is a good description, indifferent at best. When calling, the operator will tell you one thing, and when you go in, the staff will unapologetically tell you something else. Call backs are impossible, and follow thru is nonexistent. The doctor I saw had a secretary leave me a message to call and when I did she read back disturbing results back to me without compassion or explanation. The only thing they are on time for is determining how much of your time and money they will waste. If anything is actually wrong in my experience the office will drag their feet until something is very wrong. Steer clear of this practice. I have had sutter medical group for close to 20 + years. First in the North Bay (Petaluma/Santa Rosa area) and the Roseville location for the past 14 years. Up until about a year ago, I really liked this health group. But I am not sure what is going on with them. Doctors and their staff come and go, which makes it hard to establish a relationship with them. Recently I have had a very bad experience with them(can't go into details). And if you complain, nothing is done. It almost seems as if they don't care. Too many patients, not enough doctors and staff, and they pass this onto you. Tests are messed up, no communication with the staff at the offices, long long wait times even though I always arrive 10 minutes early...I could go on and on. Called as new patient, Danielle asked what insurance type I have, I said Anthem Blue Cross.........she said they are not accepting my insurance at this time. I politely advised her of their poor Yelp reviews and the one specifically stating "Anthem Blue Cross" from 2 months ago and how my specific insurance appears to not be liked by their practice. She attempted to explain their methods of picking and choosing insurance which reminded me of how I diversify stocks but I wasn't buying it. Then miraculously she "found" an available Doctor (Dr. Won) that would accept my insurance. Day late and literally a dollar short now. I'm done with Sutter. read more

Where do I start? I have been with this facility for well over 12+ yrs. So I have experienced the good and the bad. Lately it seems this place has gone down hill. When I first started going there before the move to the current location their wait times where extremely long, that improved with the new location. For a few years I had nothing negative to say my NP was awesome and made me feel comfortable despite my really bad anxiety of going to the doctors. Within the last 2 yrs she left and no notice was given to her existing patients. They had no female NP on staff for a time and NO i don't want to see a male NP for an annual visit! They had nerve to ask if there was anything they could do for me? Clearly not since you have no female NP on staff. They finally brought on a temp NP and she was good. Now most recently on 6-13-14 I went in for a visit. A script was sent over to my pharmacy for pain until results came back on Monday of the culture. So by Saturday I had heard nothing about this prescription. I went to the pharmacy who said they had called the Doctors office and personally spoke with a staff member (early in the day so I still would be able to get my script by the end of the day) from another pharmacy to tell them this needed to go to a compounding pharmacy. NOBODY EVER CALLED ME! So 6-14-14 I called the after hours line about 2:00 pm I was assured the on-call doctor would get this handled for me. Come 5:15 pm no call back I called again Finally about 6 pm I got a call back from the correct on-call doctor (they were paging the wrong doctor) by than the pharmacy I needed to use was closed. I did not end up getting my script filled until 12 pm on Sunday. All this pain, frustration and discomfort because this office does not communicate with their patients. I find this lazy and at the very least incompetent. I am not sure what happened to this place but they really need to look at how they treat and follow through with their patients. As a patient here you have to do most of the work, research your own aliments and recommend your own cures or tests that may need to be done. I am very frustrated long time patient and this is very disappointing since this was a place despite my anxiety I used to feel like I could go to have my problems addressed.
