Time and time again, I was told it was anxiety, stress, or something psychological. Some providers even made me feel as though they suspected I was exaggerating my pain or simply seeking medication rather than genuinely trying to find out what was wrong. Dr. Win was the first physician who truly listened. She believed me when I said something was wrong and reassured me that living with severe headaches 24 hours a day, 7 days a week was not normal. She never treated me like a drug seeker, never dismissed my symptoms, and never made me feel like my concerns were all in my head. Instead, she took the time to investigate the root cause of my symptoms. Because of her persistence, compassion, and medical expertise, I was referred to the right specialists and ultimately diagnosed with a Chiari malformation that had gone undiagnosed for years. Without Dr. Win, I may never have received the answers and treatment I desperately needed. What makes Dr. Win exceptional is that she genuinely cares. She spends time with her patients, asks questions, listens carefully, and refuses to settle for easy explanations when something doesn't add up. She is incredibly intelligent, compassionate, and dedicated to helping her patients find real answers. After years of being dismissed, doubted, and made to feel like my pain wasn't real, Dr. Win changed everything. I truly believe that if I had found her sooner, I could have avoided years of unnecessary suffering. I was nervous, but they numbed it so I didn't feel a thing, just slight prick and pressure beforehand! And the nail bed is thankfully not infected, just slight bleeding. Doc applied an ointment, gauze and self-adhesive bandage wrap. I only have to keep it on a week, changing it out every 24 hours! He said nail will grow back in 1 year. The nurses were sweet to our fussy toddler and gave her a teddy bear to keep her entertained while mommy was busy! It doesn't hurt to ask, they had fidget spinners and blew bubbles for her as well! I'd recommend this location, great, professional doctor and staff! I love UC Davis Health, so I'll be back for routine shots, etc! SYOY! :-)

The blonde woman without a name badge at the check-in counter almost went out of her way to be rude, also loudly discussing her personnel business for a waiting room full of patients to hear. She also thought discussing dinner recipes in front a room full of fasting patients was a great idea. The red-headed physical therapist was just as bad, rudely turning people away to other counters because their needs "weren't her job" - absolutely unacceptable and as least caring as possible. Dr. Raitt is a truly excellent physician. He is very smart and keeps up on the latest knowledge. I…read morehave been lucky to have him as my primary doctor for about 14 years or so. I cannot say enough great and positive things about him. Some things about the contacting the office leave so much to be desired, but I am not going to downgrade him for this. He is not responsible for this. When you call the office you actually are getting a call center. They fail at taking correct messages and passing them along to him. When you email him, he does not get them directly, someone else fields the messages. Many of my very important ones never reached him and appear unread. I even reached out via phone to Susana, the office manager to share with her this information and she never contacted me back. So, in conclusion, if you are lucky enough to be able to get in to see him, he is really top notch. The answering system/email system is a joke and they REALLY should have people with some type of medical background fielding both. I had so many balls dropped over the last few months. (I was very sick with c19 pneumonia). None of this is his fault. It's the system. It needs to be fixed.

But I was in a need to see one since I was developing a chronic urinary infection. She not only helped me to address this and the cause of it, but also identified problems with IBS that I've always struggled with but never had a doctor to address it. In addition I would bring her my vitamins and herbs for trying to stay healthy, and she had a blood test and it turned out I was not eliminating the iron and calcium I was taking, so I was building up an excess which can have other problems. Overall, it turns out I only needed Vitamin D in my system and have stopped all others. I sent my son there because he's always had minor health problems with nerves, shaky hands, and depression. He was doing the same thing by taking protein shakes for muscle building and exercising to stay healthy. She ran tests and there are some real health issues with his heart and possibly thyroid. I couldn't be more grateful to her ability to take the time to listen and truly diagnose our health concerns. It's almost hard to share because I don't want her to be over booked. The wait is a little long, but no different then when I had an HMO. I appreciate the time she takes with her patients. She's also understands her patients that try to stay on the holistic side of health and can provide realistic advice about the effects of certain herbs if you are taking them.
