The restaurant is small but very cute and authentic. We had breakfast there and enjoyed everything we ordered. What could be improved is the service. They seem like a family-run restaurant and the young man bringing the drinks was very kind and quick. The server was quite busy and we had to wait for longer than warranted to take our order and for the check. When I could see the order was ready, she decided to chat with a friend and take her time. I see so many reviews for breakfast, and it's delicious, but I wanted to give a shout out for lunch! You can get a PBR and a sandwiich, sit out on the patio, enjoy the view and just relax. If they have fresh homemade pie don't pass it up, it's really good. I usually get a slice to go and enjoy it when I get back to the condo. What a great place! The ambiance is loopy (ocean theme) in a mountain town, but open (vaulted wood ceiling and skylights), happy and comfortable. This is a small restaurant and open EARLY - which is great for those of us visiting from the East Coast. The food was great, plentiful and do not miss the homemade raspberry/strawberry preserves. If you like a laid back relaxing no fuss place to eat this is the place. Food is great, plentiful and doesn't kill the wallet. The view of the mountains doesn't hurt either. Five of us embarked on this place and order a wide range of food. There was not one complaint from our table. So I would say order anything all will be good. read more

Recently lunched here. Would not recommend nor return. Here's the deal: It's a Holiday week and this is a small popular local eatery and so I can give a grace for the wait time of 20 min...initially. However, 20 min turned into about 35 then another 30 til food. We waited in the small waiting area for most of it. At one point the male owner (?) seemed to lock the door so no one (maybe us?) would be able to get in. There was no offer of an explanation as to why the door was locked. Then at another point a larger party of 7 came in waited with us for a little bit and then somehow got a table before us, got their order taken before us, got their food served before us & they also left before us. At this point I'm looking around because I'm a little confused because we were not only there first, we were smaller party and no one really seemed to care if we got our order taken, if we had a good experience or really if we would like the check. Frankly what bothers me the most is that there's just no common courtesy left these days for checking in on your customers, making sure their water is refilled, making sure they enjoy their food, making sure they know you appreciate the hour wait, making sure they know you're going to have a table for them. Perhaps Sharky's doesn't need to express that good customer service and be gracious to the people that come in and patronize them. However it seems that every other table got better customer service and more Smiles than us . It's just a little bit confusing because you would think such a small business would really want repeat customers and word-of-mouth for a small mountain town. For this reason I give them the lowest ranking of one star and that's simply because there's no lower-ranking. Next time I'll go to a place that I know I can get a seat get decent service and better food. read more

I don't mind the food but one of the waitresses there is always incredibly rude when I go in there with my girlfriends. Of course she was nice when I went in there with my boyfriend when it came time to pay. We've had to get up multiple times and ask for items we requested. She sat there on her phone behind the small bar and when we asked for an item that she hadn't brought for many many minutes she would say, "Oh you still wanted that?" "No, I didn't want it lady. I just asked for it again to make you work!" She doesn't check how your doing or even seem interested in your happiness. Trust me, I am all about supporting local businesses, but this is a no go for me. I mean I have always somewhat enjoyed their food but I always avoid going in there due to there lack of Customer Service. Get it together guys! read more

We were in town for a girls weekend away. The wait time was average, 20 minutes. Wait time for the food was closer to 30 minutes, too long for breakfast. Ordered the corned beef hash which had about 2 bites worth of beef. The two bits were great, just wish there was more beef and less potatoes. Disappointing. read more

Me and two of my friends went for breakfast after finding this place on Yelp. We were too late for breakfast so I ordered the Salmon salad and a cup of tortilla soup. very limited menu for non meat eaters. Now, I like spicy foods however this soup was like eating liquid fire. Too spicy hot to even taste the flavor of the soup !! When I asked the waiter if this was normal, or if someone accidentally dumped in a full can of hot pepper by mistake, he said it's the most spicy soup they have. Great ! Why didn't they tell me that when I ordered ? The Salad was great, the dressing was great ! Loved it . the other people in my party were very impressed as well ! So impressed that we went back for breakfast the next day. Horrible !! like we went to a different restaurant. Nothing was right, and was cold and tasteless. REALLY SURPRISED AT THE POSITIVE REVIEWS. Wont be going back for breakfast, Carvers is the only great breakfast place in town. SO 1 star for breakfast 3 stars for lunch. Good LUCK. read more

Went here on my way home from a family ski vacation in Granby over the holidays. Sharky's has a super cool atmosphere if you don't mind being kind of cramped on the bottom floor. The food was pretty amazing, I had one of their omlettes, but I tried my brother's Eggs Benedict which was off the chain. Their huge handmade cinnamon rolls are also delicious. Not to mention that one of the waitresses makes and serves her own homemade raspberry jam. She also sells jars of it if they have any extra on hand. They were out, unfortunately, when we happened to be there. Well worth any wait you have at the door. The only reason I did not give it a 5 star is because I'm claustrophobic. Haha read more

Saw this on Yelp and decided to try. The food was very good. I had a turkey club and it was excellent on a toasted homemade multigrain bread. The tomatoes and lettuce were superbly crisp. Tasty!!! My family and I went twice, I had and loved the pancake. It was one of the best I have ever had! I also had an omelet and it was very well prepared and had tasty green peppers. Do yourself a favor and go to the Mountain Rose or Rise and Shine for breakfast! We had great food and service at both of those. Not at Sharky's. If you want just a simple breakfast they probably can handle that. I made the mistake of ordering the stuffed French toast. A few strawberries and hardly any cream cheese between two soggy pieces of awful bread AND IT WAS SALTY! (Did they mix up the sugar and salt in the kitchen?). It was absolutely the worst French Toast I've ever had, couldn't eat it. I wasn't super hungry so I didn't say anything or complain which I now regret, because then the busboy spilled the plate on me when clearing the table, butter and syrup all over my arm, leg, top and shorts. Never again! Plus Sharky' is extremely hot inside and the bathroom, where I spent a lot of time trying to clean butter and syrup out of my clothes, was dirty! read more
