We were in Appleton and I realized they had a storefront so we stopped in. The store is small but has a selection of cheese, milks and local products as well as Lamers merch and some souvenirs. They sell servings of ice cream and have a couple of tables where families were enjoying their treats and visiting. We got some milk, cheese and chocolates. It is so lovely on the property, and in the adorable building that houses the apples and other goodies for sale. The ladies that man the register are really friendly and relaxed. They are happy to answer your questions - and believe me, there are lots once you start finding apples you've never seen before! They even gave me a tiny apple to sample and it was so juicy and flavorful that I walked back home to get my wallet and bought a bunch of them for a couple of friends that were hosting me for dinner. The orchard gave me an apple pie filling recipe to include, too, which was so fun. I've been back several times. Somehow apples at the supermarket will never be the same.

I liked that I was able to compare before I bought a whole bag. Prices were very reasonable here. They were either cheaper or spot on as to other touristy places we stopped at. All of the cherry preserves, jams, salsas, pie filling, candy, etc. you could want that make Door County famous. They also were selling a number of autumn decor like gourds and pumpkins. There was a playground for the kids to play on but not much else like you might find at other orchards. This one is a working orchard and the biggest draw is the chance to pick your own fruit. This week they had blueberries from lower Michigan. So sweet and tasty. This is a nice simple clean farm with pretty much every seasonal vegetable available. The service is always friendly.
