I had been once before, but my in-laws were visiting from England and we just had to take them here. They agreed that it was the classic, small town, American market. We all loved our visit. It's quite big inside and very open/spacious to move around. Beyond their famous cherry pies, jams, and butters, you'll find their fresh produce, local cheeses (yumm), and a unique selection of artisan goods (I'm obsessed). Also if you're an apple lover, you'll have come to the right place. They were sampling their fresh picked options, and we of course left with a big bag to take home. Also, all things fall-esque like cider donuts, pumpkin pancake mix, and unique fudge. Oh anddd they have this great little outdoor section for kiddos, equip with a swing set, big sandbox, handful of rideable bikes/cars, and a cute little rope maze in the woods. My son loved exploring. With seasonal activities like cherry-picking, it's a perfect spot to savor the region's flavors and enjoy a classic Midwest farm experience!

And beyond that, they sell a lot of other merchandise, food and otherwise. Lots of salsa, spreads, relishes, jerky, and so on, but they don't have any recipes or food suggestions near them and I don't know how to use them. The peach, cherry, etc. salsas seemed interesting but they were too sweet (and not spicy enough) to eat with chips or something, but I'm not sure how I would want to use it otherwise and I don't want to have to do the work to figure out how. But near the entrance, they do have a little counter where various relishes and jams are available for tasting. I did buy some apple cider donuts from here, and they certainly looked more appetizing than most of the other markets we stopped at. The cider was disappointing--it looked more like juice than cider--so I skipped that. And once I had one of the donuts upon returning home, they were pretty good even a day or two later, and I"m not one who usually loves apple cider donuts. There's lots of parking here, so you'll probably have no issue there. If you have little ones, there's a small playground near the eastern end of the property. They're closed Sunday, so plan accordingly.

This was a great place to stop for gifts for family and get a big bucket of frozen cherries to take home. It was the end of the season so the stock wasn't huge, im glad we made it! Prices were pretty reasonable for having independent or local products. We grabbed a bottle of wine that was so tasty! The back is a wide-open, airy bar area with drinks made of site. There are even opportunities to see some live music if you come at the right time with a decent amount of seating by a fire pit. Helpful staff and a clean facility. It was nice to stop to get some fresh air on the way home to take a break and shop a bit!

The kids especially like drawing with sidewalk chalk. We did order food from the small menu. We had a plain hotdog. When we got it, it was cold. We had a pretzel which the kids loved with cheese sauce. We had a quesadilla and nachos which were both pretty good. If you are looking for an outdoor option that your dogs can hang at with you and your kids can run around with some good beer and wine this is a great option.

Just visited this fabulous place located just outside of Sister Bay, on Rt 42, Left hand side turn…read moreat Wildwood Road. I traveled with my friendly Dog, but he took a nap in the car whilst I shopped at the Wildwood Market. This place is clean and wholesome and very Family Friendly! The owner Mark Carlson was extremely friendly, knowledgeable about his fresh fruit and vegetable products and knew much history of the area. There were jams and sauces, Fresh from the farm tomatoes and so much to look at and shop for.....I purchased some oddly shaped long tomatoes, and some dried cherries to bring back home. I chatted about our 9/11 experiences BUT while I was 'trapped' in London, UK during September 11th 2001. The market store was moved from a close by location in sections and rebuilt and lovingly restored and rebuilt by the Carlson family. They are currently adding in other parts of the business as they grow...including a possible historical setting scene of what the former historical "migrant picker's shack used to look like back in the day. Their orchard market is open Mid May through October. They have Pick Your Own Cherries and a funny Cherry Picking RULES sign inside the market store, most important rule, DO NOT CLIMB THE CHERRY TREES! This place has a medium sized graveled parking lot, easy parking and handicapped friendly ramp to enter the store. PLEASE NO big Rv's or Tour buses please, it is too hard to park and back up out of, ducks were swimming in their own little pool off to the side of the market store, Mark is a great guy and again MARK CARLSON, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO OUR COUNTRY!!! ALso from their website: Carlson's Island View Orchard, home of Door County Wildwood Market and Anna's Garden...located in the old "migrant picker's shack" Mark, Mary Pat, and daughter Anna welcome you to Carlson's Island View Orchard and gardens - all here on the family farm that has been in the Carlson family since 1846 - two years before Wisconsin became a state.
