This Bubble Cup is the Bubble Cup Signature over by the food court on the ground floor, not the one…read moreover by McDonalds. It has really friendly staff and their menu choices are amazing. I love the Milk teas so much and have had the Mango Milk Tea and the White Chocolate Milk tea with pop balls!! Pop Balls are absolutely amazing and addicting. I've also tried the Taro Milk Tea with Pearls, and a few of the slushie type drinks. They are, by far the best Bubble Cup in Chadstone! Only downside, CASH only!

I became hooked on Boba Milk Tea after living in the SGV for the past 15 years so on a recent trip…read moreback home I was ecstatic to find a Bubble Cup in the Chadstone Mall. Thinking that if anyone could understand my Aussie-accented Mandarin it would be Australian-Asians, I walked up and asked for a zhenzhu naicha. Instead of a cup of deliciousness, all I got was a blank look from the young Asian girl behind the counter. Boba naicha? I tried. Another blank look. Seriously? Bubble milk tea? Success! Maybe it was my accent. Maybe it was that I was a Gwei Lo, so she heard Mandarin but was thinking in "English/Australian". Maybe she was Chinese-Australian but didn't actually speak Mandarin. Doesn't matter! (as Con the Fruiterer used to say). All that really matters is that I got what I wanted. Sort of. I got a cup of bubble milk tea, but to be honest, I've definitely had better. Then again I'm from the 626, and if you're making bubble milk tea here you've got competition and lots of it, so if your product isn't bloody good the kids will just go elsewhere. The problem? The Boba was undercooked, so it was still firm in the center and not chewy, while the milk tea was not sweet and kind of bland. I had a craving for bubble milk tea and this didn't satisfy it. But maybe I just caught them on an off day. I only had one cup, on one day, so your experience may differ from mine. Of course being used to Bubble Milk Tea from the 626 my tastes most likely run to a different flavour than yours. Sarah F. clearly likes them and I'm not saying she's wrong; she just had a different experience to me, that's all. So please, ignore my 2-star rating and try them yourself, because you might like it. And if you don't, find another bubble milk tea stand and give that one a try, because life is too short to spend it drinking sub-par zhenzhu naicha ;) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zccNQPH7Xe0

TL:DR - Lots of interesting fruit tea combinations, which isn't really my preference. The matcha…read moremilk tea I got was alright. Boba could have been better. Not going to lie, the rating is primarily based on the incompatibility of their options and my bubble tea preferences. I came to this place based on a recommendation from a friend. This place focuses primarily on their fruit teas, which I'm not a overly huge fan of and tend to prefer classic milk teas. This limited my options a lot. Ended up getting a matcha latte, which was fine. Nothing overly amazing. More matcha foward, less milk and sugar (I got standard sugar). The boba was alright, it was chewy but tended to stick together inside the drinking, making it a little difficult to get a few boba in each sip. The place inside was rather small, but clean and bright with light colored wood and white walls. The owner has a huge fascination with what I can only assume is a Korean pop-star? Like this guys face is everywhere. But I appreciate the late 90's early 00's Chinese pop-music a lot.

There are limited seats so snag one while you can. SIGNATURE FOUR SEASONS FRUIT TEA This drink was very fruity and refreshing. I like the citrus flavors with the light tea notes. WATERMELON GREEN TEA The watermelon was so fruity and sweet. I love the combo of the fruit with the light green tea flavor. ROSELLE BERRY APPLE This was my favorite. I really like the fresh apple flavor. It was very fruity and reminded me of a fresh squeezed apple juice, but with other fruit bits as well. I would order this again. This place is one of my favorite boba places in melbourne. The flavors are clean and fruity. It's definitely a must visit.
