A local shop, Top Tea is indeed the Top Tea place in Melbourne, hands down. While only being around…read moresince 2016, Top Tea is hanging with some of the best known and most established Tea shops in the world, literally being next door to them and outshining them. Using only the best and freshest ingredients, mixed with quality teas, Top Tea delivers goodness in a cup. From traditional teas, to fruit teas, to cheese toppings, to brûlée, to momo, to yogurt, to whatever bubble tea you can thibk of, they seem to have you covered. Had to come here multiple times a day to get my fix, knowing fully well we'd be leaving Melbourne soon. Everything we tried was top notch and you honestly can't go wrong. Their fruit teas especially were out of this world. Feeling overwhelmed? The staff would be happy to help and explain how their menu works. They are super friendly and efficient. Absolutely loved how the place was decorated, too. With bright colors and friendly decor, the vibe felt positive and upbeat. Overall, if you are in Melbourne and love tea, you need to try Top Tea!

Having been to both Bubble Cup and Tea Station (and having walked past two other Milk Tea shops), it would appear as though the price for a large Milk Tea with Pearls is pretty fixed across the board at between $4.60 and $5.00. While I think Bubble Tea's large is a bit larger than that of Tea Station, both are a good value. Star Granted. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? My standard Black Milk Tea with Pearls was quite good, with just the right amount of sweetness brought on by a good milk to tea ratio, but I must say I was a bit disappointed with Bubble Cup's selection after visiting nearby Tea Station. While the menu may seem extensive, you quickly realize that most of the options are simply the same thing with one of a few flavor syrups added. Bubble Cup is quick, easy, affordable, and dishes up some good Boba.
