I don't go to the mall very much, but lately, I've had to pop into The Oglethorpe Mall for various reasons and I'm finding more and more reasons to go back and Shapes Brow Bar (SBB) is one of them. - Parking - Center lot. Park by the lot by the food court, it's the closest to the shop. - Vibe - Located in the food court area, SBB is well lit inside with a black and red theme. They have salon chairs lined up on one side and a make up wall on the other. It looked like a pretty extensive display of cosmetics, but not of any brand I had heard of, but then again, I don't wear much make up either. - TLC - She never told me her name, but I think her name was Chand and I'm only saying that because that's what it says on my receipt, unless both ladies who were present use the same ID on the register. My eyebrows were not terrible this time, but holy, Jesri was fast! I was already anxious because my two kids were with me and they were already antsy with the promise of some treats and some playtime at the indoor playground if they sat still while I got my brows done. I didn't feel like coming to the mall again later in the week. She was very personable too, making conversation as she did her thing. I really appreciated her efficiency and so did my kids. - Services - I personally got the Eyebrow threading for $13 and that's seems to be the standard price everywhere. They offer a variety of services, targeting only certain parts of the face or the Full Face and they offer various packages and memberships. Looks like they offer eyebrow tinting services as well. - Heads Up - Jesri got me at the cash! Haha. I couldn't pass up a good deal. They have this deal where if you buy a $40 gift card, your threading service that day is free. Also, the gift card never expires. It saved me $13! They also have this pretty sweet deal for $17.99 per month for unlimited threading. If SBB was a lot closer and if I had unruly, bushier eyebrows, I would have probably gotten that deal too. I have been threading my eyebrows for as long as I can remember and I refuse to remove/trim any other way. SBB is the third pace I've tried in and around Savannah and and so far, I like SSB the best. read more

Located across from the carousal in the food court at the Oglethorpe Mall, Shapes Brow Bar is my go-to for threading and tinting my eyebrows. I am maybe too trusting of people with my eyebrows, they did look a bit lopsided post this past visit, but I'm the one staring at them most often and I've gotten multiple compliments so they must've done something right. Eyebrows and tinting will cost you $25 and they're usually running a promotion to purchase a gift card for future visits at a discounted price. The tinting lasts about two weeks. The first time I loved it, the second time it was a little dark for me so I simply applied water to it early (typically you're supposed to wait 24 hours) and I liked the results. For Savannah, this is not a bad place to get your eyebrows threaded. Notice I started with "for Savannah"...why? Well we just don't have very many places that do threading, and I'd like to add a "yet" to the end of that sentence. I'm hopefully as Savannah grows and continues to rise in popularity, so will the variety of services, like eyebrow threading. On the particular day I went, they were only accepting cash. There is an ATM in the food court which took me forever to find. It just did not stick out, at all. So come prepared with cash in case this is a new or continuing trend they've got going on. Or be prepared for a $4 ATM fee (unless your bank will waive it later on). It's $12 for your eyebrows. Which I find fair considering I am terrible at doing my eyebrows consistently. There's a place in Hinesville that will do it for $8, but unless you're in the area for a particular reason, nobody is going to travel out there for that. Here I was at least acknowledged when I came in. Conversation was very minimal. Just "how are you" and "is it good enough." I find that to be the norm at almost each threading spot I've been. Perhaps it has something to do with how little time one actually spends in the chair, at least in my experience. I'll come back because I still have symmetrical eyebrows and there's really no where else I could go within a reasonable distance. Yet. read more

This is the only place I trust with my eyebrows threading in Savannah area, mostly because they aren't many other places that do threading and the girls who work here do a good job. They try their best to make it less painful but if this is your first time getting your brows threaded, I am not going to lie and say that threading doesn't hurt. But once you get used to it and get it done regularly, it's not terrible. It's expensive if you pay each time you come here so I usually buy the unlimited brow service pack for 3 months, which costs $45. For a person like me who needs to get their eyebrows shaped every other week, this is a good investment. They have other service packs available too (see picture). I'm so happy I found this place! I'm 8 months pregnant and my eyebrows had grown out of control. I was nervous about getting them done but the lady working here is so sanitary and everything was clean and she even has customers wait outside until she's ready plus offers hand sanitizer every time you have to touch your face. She was so nice and I enjoyed talking to her. A huge plus is that she was so gentle and did such a wonderful job. I'm so glad I found my eyebrow home here! read more

Okay I am a little bias because I found one person that did my brows really well, but I couldn't catch her the second time around due to our work schedules being off. The second lady I let do my brows didn't do them how I like but they weren't terrible, hence the reason for my four out of five stars. I suggest going to Bonita. I just stopped in to do something nice for my wife, and I left with a deal. They have ample signage let you know that there are deals to be had. And when we were ready to check out they reminded us that we were going to overlook a good deal. Always liked the work that she got done, I like how she looked I'd say we all walked away happy. There in the mall you can wander, you can overspend, Or you can get your brows done and feel better about yourself. They look like they have enough attendees to accommodate a rush of customers. That's good for you because no one wants to wait around any longer with the unibrow than they have to. read more

Horrible! I explain exactly how I like my eyebrows and she said ok no problem. Don't think she understood because she made me look like an angry woman. My eyebrows go straight across with no natural curve or shape. I'm so upset. Then she gave me Castor oil and said to rub it in at night to make them grow back in quicker. SERIOUSLY NEVER GOING BACK. Really wish there could be a negative star on this app so no one goes there. Can't believe this could even be recommended by anyone. If you like your eyebrows don't go there. Worst eyebrow threading experience I have ever had. DO NOT GO HERE. Went to this place to get my eyebrows done. The ladies that work there were not friendly at all. They told me to go sit in a chair and then without asking me/giving me the chance to tell them how I'd like my eyebrows done they just stared threading. The lady didn't even take the time to look over my eyebrows first/look at their natural shape. She proceeded to do the quickest and most uneven eyebrow threading I've ever had. After she was finished, she has arched my left eyebrow high and had taken off a lot of the brow. On my right eyebrow, she left my eyebrow thick, took a lot off the top, and didn't arch the brow at all. They looked completely lopsided and uneven. I was extremely unsatisfied. I requested that they fix it and another lady stepped in and helped a little but it was too late and the damage was done. read more

Let's be clear. I'm very serious about eyebrow threading. In fact, I've had the same threader since I was 15 years old. Yes, that's right! 15 years old. I'm staying in the area for the summer and have no access to my usual threader. I had had enough of my unruly brows and decided to take the plunge and allow someone else to thread them. Walking into Shapes, I was TERRIFIED. I had never had anyone even LOOK at my brows that wasn't my usual threader. Teal/Tia (I forgot her name) did an excellent job! I was pleasantly surprised! It was quick, neat, and painless. Clean salon and NO wait. Furthermore, she maintained my shape as I had asked. I walked out very happy. I had been trying to grow in the inner part of my brows for a thicker look. I tried this brow bar recently and instead of cleaning up the scragglies, the woman took off everything that had filled in over the last six months. Not only that but they were not threaded evenly. I'm very particular about my brows and thought that a brow bar would do a better job. Now I have to wait another six months to get my eyebrows thick again. $35 for whole face threading. Read the reviews and thought I might as well try this place since it seems to be the only place in Savannah that does threading and I didn't want to wait until I travel to Atlanta next month. I thought the price was reasonable for full face job. The tech threaded and trimmed my brows then threaded my forehead, cheeks, chin, upper lip and sides of my face. The whole process took less than 30 minutes. The pain was mild and best of all...no redness. At all. I will definitely return.
