I can't say enough about what a great experience it was. Sensei Al teaches Zen in the traditional way, but is not off-putting, stuffy or dismissive of those who are just starting out. It was a great retreat, and even though I live a few hours away from his Zen center, I definitely will be driving up there one weekend to do some meditation and hear some dharma talks there.

A good introduction to the space & the people there is to attend one of their international vegetarian lunches that take place at 12pm on the first Saturday of each month.
