They called the office to see if this was something they could repair in house and they told them they couldn't see him for a few weeks and that He needed an appointment in order to determine whether they could repair it or would need to send it out. Weeks??? They asked if they could bring it by and could he take a peek real quick to see if it was fixable so they could pursue other options. No. They refused to even try and help. They just didn't care. My sister was really upset but thanked them. They found another dentist who actually took the dentures to the lab himself and had them fixed within a few days. They now go to this office. My sister got a call from the old office trying to schedule a cleaning and she said they had gone elsewhere. She asked why. My sister asked if she wanted the truth. Yes she did. So she told the story and the person who called her got defensive and nasty. They STILL didn't care. So glad they went elsewhere.

I worried this was because the dentist gets paid for extractions and it's a quicker more profitable procedure they could offer. After being told, I would need to teeth removed, I went to La Contenta Dental in Valley Springs, a recommended office from another source, for a consultation for a 2nd option. I had some dental work done by Dr, Paul Berger, including a filling for a tooth that had been…read morebothering me. Weeks later, the tooth still hurt and when I went for my next visit, I informed him of the problem. Without even looking at my recent x-ray or examining the tooth, he said "you need a root canal". I asked why I had a filling done two weeks ago when you are now stating I need a root canal? He gave me a non-answer and told me to stop tapping on the tooth. My gut feeling told me something isn't right, so I got two opinions (which were both the same diagnosis), I did not need a root canal and the reason the tooth was still hurting is because the recent filling was incomplete. PLUS, I did not need three crowns, only one and on a different tooth than the scheduled three by Dr. Berger. He also tried (unsuccessfully) very hard for me to have me two mini implants, which the other dentists said I needed a bridge for the two teeth in question. Had I continued with Dr. Berger, I would have paid $2,000+ for unpleasant, unnecessary root canal and crown procedures. This dentist is a total scammer.

I've always figured they were all about the same…read more- see them every six months after a cleaning (done by rotating hygienists of varying skill) and once in a while get some work done by the dentist, who doesn't remember me from last time. However, Dr. Boynton is amazing. She listens and her responses are thoughtful and detailed. She is personable, and her staff is friendly as well. Office and waiting room are very pleasant. Highly recommend.
