I have been to so many places and Haru Salon is the only one for me. I can trust them to do an outstanding job and leave me filling with confidence. I'll walk you through the process. First they don you with two capes and another item for your neck. Is it cold? They have a closet that warms up your jacket. Second they wash and massage your hair and your back in a massage chair. Next they cut your hair to your liking and walk you through the process - they will tell you what looks good and why. With the amount of meticulous care I've seen them take compared to anyone else blows me out the water. Another hair wash (okay this is new to me since I have never seen a second hair wash in the North) and styling, waxing, blow drying your hair. Rubi was a sweetheart considering I was a few minutes behind from being a little lost in the area (new resident!). She immediately greeted me with a smile and offered a beverage prior to our appointment, was a doll/extremely personable throughout, and was patient as I shared with her on which color I felt would work best for my touch up. Salon cancelled my appointment, then says they can't Venmo me back my $50 deposit as only the owner has the account. Directed to call salon to process a credit card refund. Camille did my hair EXACTLY how I wanted, and to top it off, she gives a killer head massage after washing your hair. Sooooo relaxing and lovely, and not the super short little head rub that leaves you wanting more. On top of giving me perfect highlights, Camille gave me a haircut that kept the length like I wanted, but framed my face a bit and got rid of my split ends. I was seen back in May for highlights, cut, and style. Christy Patterson did my hair. While…read moreshampooing, Christy had me sit up and liquid spilled down my shirt. Christy told me at the end of the appointment not to worry and that it was water. I paid and left for home. Two days later, I started to do laundry and could see that my shirt was completely ruined by bleach. Had I known my shirt was ruined, I would not have tipped and would have requested a discount in the amount of a replacement item. However, I believed Christy and paid in full at the time of service. I contacted Christy when I realized my item was ruined. I was in tears because this shirt had emotional significance to me and was a limited edition item. I told Christy I had researched the cost of a replacement. I emailed her photos demonstrating evidence of the damage and cost of replacement. I asked for a refund that could cover the cost of a replacement, as I simply wanted to replace what was lost. Christy refused stating my "shirt is not worth that much." I told her it is objectively worth what it is selling for, but she disagreed and attempted to refund me a small amount that would not cover the cost of a replacement or even cover the cost of the shirt + tip. I did not accept the small partial refund as I decided to file a chargeback with my credit card company. Over the course of the last two months, they determined they cannot help since items damaged as part of a service is a matter to be handled directly with the merchant or in a court of law. I'm tired and don't have the money to take anyone to court so I'm stuck with the loss of an item that was meaningful to me and no refund. I don't recommend coming here if you expect fair customer service or value your belongings.
