The decor is lovely and the service was good. There was six of us, and each of us enjoyed what we ordered. Everything went right (other than forgetting one side dish of coconut rice which came out promptly after reminding them), and otherwise it was a good experience. I got curry puffs and chew chee salmon, and both were scrumptious. I wouldn't hesitate to come back here again. You do need to search for it, as it's in a shopping complex and tucked in towards the back, but it's worth giving it a go. And once you're done eating, especially in summer, just take a minute stroll to the lake front where it's just beautiful and serene. Definitely come here if you're in the area ... or if you too have friends that live closer to it than you do, but it's a hike. It's truly worth it.

And in 2015 a new owner has kept the same successful menu, but undertook a complete stylish refurb that opened up the space and populate it with dark-woods furniture and beautiful Thai ornaments. I keep hearing that other Thai restaurants in nearby suburbs are amazing, but nothing I've had comes close to the quality and consistency of this place. I love the Coconut Soup and the Duck Curry.

We ordered the rump steak and chicken schitz.. it is what it is .. after a few beers and wine .. everything was better :) the steak turned out OK .. the mash was pretty good. the schitz I particularly liked .. thick not dry and the crispy bits went well with the beers n wine. no fancy smanshy pairing needed here.. :)

About seven of us were starving one night, not used to how early all restaurants in Melbourne close. Los Argentinos was about to close, but they offered to stay open late to serve us. We had food and drinks which were both wonderful. The service was great. The food was on the table quickly. We were all so happy when we left. Thanks guys!
