So we did search on this ! The reviews where good and bad? Those that did like if thought it was…read moregreat! Those that didn't thought it was bad! Well it was bad! The place was empty at 7:00 pm on a Thursday night! We ordered sweet n sour soup, Sichuan Chicken, mushroom fried rice, crispy Duck and black bean spicy pork! I had a Carlsberg beer and my friend just had water ! No hot tea with meal ! Very odd ! About 5 minuets after ordering the waitress dropped off this strange appetizer it was like a fried bread similar to fried pork rinds, however, this was white tasteless the consistency of styrofoam ! Oddity two! About another 5 minuets the waitress dropped off the soup and the duck, however, she only brought one bowl and we specify stated we would be splitting the soup! She came back with another bowl and it was a challenge to transfer the hot soup to the other bowl with just a paper napkin to handle the hot bowl! Though the soup was hot it was not sweet or spicy overall bland at best, we did eat it all however, cause we where hungry! The Crispy Duck was even worse and served mushy style with tortilla , thin sliced green onions, cucumber and plum sauce as condiments ! First off the Duck was stone cold, very dry, not crispy and very bland! Normally freshly cooked duck is moist and somewhat greasy it was neither! In my assumption it was cooked a few days previously stored in a refrigerator and microwaved for our service! We both tried the dish and we where quite disappointed and called the waitress of the issues with the dish! She took the dish back however, stipulate she need to check with the manager to omit from the bill! Since the duck was a main portion of the meal, we than added a portion of black bean pork to the order! Finally, after another 10 minuet wait our remaining original order items came! The chicken dish actually was passable, however only consisted of chicken, sliced onion and green peppers? Not in my opinion not Sichuan as neither spicy and loaded with typical variety of ingredients! The fried rice was another let down as it wasn't fried? It was just plain white rice with mushrooms and green peas added, again very bland and nothing special! We ate everything cause it was late and we were hungry! The pork dish never came ! Which was good as I didn't want to give them a penny more! In summary, the food was terrible and not typical Chinese style, the serve was slow for an empty restaurant ! Gave them 2 stars in hope they get better! However, save yourself the frustration and expense and Don't Come Here!

When i first arrived in Gloucester i performed the now mandatory yelp search for places to eat. To…read moremy surprise though Yelp had heard of a great many only one was reviewed! So curiosity finally got the better of me and i resolved to go... Let me say first off that i see why it was rated so highly. The premise is simple but glorious. All you can eat Chinese for £15 a head. Order as much as many times as you like (Its cook to order not a buffet so everything comes hot and on demand!). The menu is massive, you'll start with what you know but soon be forced to venture out into all new foods. Each plate is small enough to allow for a good three rounds even for the most reserved diner but large enough to be filling. Personal tip, start you night with Hot and Sour Soup, you won't regret it. Another rule that i think made the night for us was written in tiny ink at the bottom of the menu "respectfully, please finish your plate before ordering your next dish". Brilliant, 5 star dining but your mothers table rules. It meant if one person didn't like what they'd ordered we'd all chip in to finish it off, otherwise it was game over. The staff were polite and very attentive considering it felt like we were in the busiest place in Gloucester. I had a fantastic night there and felt i had really gotten my moneys worth. Quite right that Blossom was the first rated and should remain the top rated restaurant in Gloucester!
