This is a sad day for those who protect this country, which includes Frisco, Texas. I am a…read moremilitary veteran that has the military "Tri-Care" insurance. I was referred to and advised that Collin County ENT would take Tri-Care. Truth is that they do take Tri-Care and it is in network, but only as a secondary insurance, not a primary insurance (According to the receptionist that I spoke to it is office dependent, so they can make their own rules). So, what do veterans do when they do not have additional insurance? I think this is a very poor stance when your duties are to help. You only help when it benefits you as the Doctor. What a work-around to allow this organization to charge more for service. I know that doctors who support military veterans take more of a loss. It's a given but when you say you do but there's a catch, you are just spitting in the face of those who served to allow you to skate around the issue of possibly taking less money for the same payment. This is just so frustrating to know that I pay a lot for my military "Tri-Care Prime" insurance. More than most who may be transiting through this office (if they pay anything at all) but only to be told your second rate. Pathetic! I'm sure you have the ability to find my name. If your smart enough you will have my contact details and you can contact me. However, I may put you at the bottom of the list to return your call.

I spent close to 30 minutes pre-filling out docs to be prepared the day of the appointment. I showed up early an after check in waited in the lobby for 45 minutes. I even checked because 6 people that came in after me we sent back. A couple completed their visit and left before I was sent back. After I was sent back I was informed that it would be another 20-30 minutes before I saw the doctor. At this point I elected to get up and leave. I was asked if I wanted to call back to reschedule to which I declined. They obviously have too many patients if the wait times are this lengthy. I'm sure from the other review that they are fine doctors especially considering the patient load but to have this experience is rude and dis-courteous. I wouldn't dream of showing up to any appointment late like this.

As others have noted, I also got negative vibes from Frederick when first going there but think he has toned his behavior after all the negative reviews! I myself have nothing to complain about. My migraines have greatly subsided and my disorder is managed with medication. I rarely see Dr. Garza anymore but see her PA most times with a surprise visit from Dr. Garza once in a while. This is common practice with a patient who's symptoms are stabilized. I have learned the best way to ensure your meds are properly refilled is to use the portal for a "request a refill" as well as prompting your pharmacy. I have only experienced late refills twice in several years. I have never had problems with billing.

It is an absolute pain to write this, because the actual doctors and people at the office at the…read moreENT & Allergy Center of Texas in Allen, TX are so wonderful. This review is detailed for the office personnel benefit. Our doctor visit today was miraculous for my 96 yr old mother, she can hear much better. The people were wonderful, kind and extremely helpful. We felt like we were at home. But I feel so sorry that these people are defamed by the ridiculous communication system and process the ENT & Allergy Centers of Texas has forced us all to deal with. Trying to reach the office directly to manage appointments or even get information is impoosible, and an exercise in futility and frustration because they hide behind a completely broken array of digitial technology and automation. They have only a single switchboard for all the ENT offices in North Texas, it's more than 10 offices, and may be many more. It appears the few receptionists are programmed now to IGNORE your incoming call and force you to ask for a call back. I've waited over 30 minutes on the phone to get them to answer, and they never did. But, about 2 mins into the call, while you are always on hold waiting for eternity to be transferred to your doctor's office switchboard to speak to someone that never answers, you will hear a message playing every so often that says, if you want a call back, press 2. If you select this, you will usually get a call back within about 10-15 minutes. In any case, you must wait by the phone. Missing the call starts this RIDICULOUS process all over. It's hit or miss on who will call you back. Some are very kind of helpful, some are as rude as they can be and sound like they don't want to be there. If you get a bad one, go back to square one, you lose. If you don't get all your questions answered and need to talk to someone, expect at least 30 mins to get this answered again. I tried to check-in today for my mother on their mobile app and, again, heavily automated. I was to receive a code to check-in on the mobile phone, but no code was sent. I'm a computer engineer of over 32 years, and there's no way anyone over 60 could easily complete the process they had me going through. I tried again, and again no code. 10 minutes later after my login times out, all the codes I triggered arrive together at the same time, so I couldn't complete early check-in after it timed out and had to start over. I finally was able to complete this after fighting on and off for 2 days, and 10 mins later it says I have 2 appts, and I need to check in. I go back to the portal and it says I'm checked in - Thank you, there's nothing more to do. There's also a MAP icon you can click to see how to get to their office. But, when trying to, it says the location address (1111 Raintree, etc), which is what the Doctor's people program into the app, says it's an invalid address and cannot be found, so you can't even get instructions from their crappy tools and it asks you to check 10 minutes after you already did! I've never seen an office run so poorly and I've been under as many as 7 specialists' care for almost 50 years now. THE WHOLE THING is a circus, and I'll be filing formal complaints with their office and will escalate if necessary. This is disrespectful to patients and their doctors.
