Don't go here if you are queer. Felt like we were the first gay couple they had ever worked with. We came in together, holding hands, and asked to see engagement rings together and the sales associate still thought we each had a boyfriend separately:(. Disappointing sales experience for what should have been a super fun day for us as a couple. We spent about 10 to sometimes 15 minutes in between every request to see a ring just waiting and standing awkwardly around while the person helping us would disappear. It is an area with seating in the back. Not sure if this is overall a new setup or something in place due to Covid but it was different from before yet more convenient. I have been a loyal customer since 2016 when my husband purchased my engagement ring here. We also bought 2 wedding bands for my ring, and just recently we upgraded my ring and bands, and Shane really just outdid themselves. Phenomenal service along with great quality diamonds and wedding bands. With covid, appointments are highly recommended but walk ins are still available. There's nothing better than walking into a business, letting someone know you have an issue, and said person does everything they can to resolve the issue. Decided to take my husband's ring to get re-sized and stopped by this location as we've come here on several occasions and had a great experience. Today was no different. Located in the same shopping center as Dick's Sporting Goods and nestled right behind Bahama Breeze, Shane Co. is rather easy to find and there is no issue with parking. Although they were busy, we were greeted as soon as we walked in and a young man named Aaron asked how he could help. I let him know we wanted get a ring re-sized and he promptly let me know that with the type of ring purchased, it could not be altered and of course I became a little upset because the salesman I spoke with on our last visit never made that known. Maybe I should've just done my own research. Anyway, he said he would see what he could do and came back to let us know he could exchange the ring even though it was ordered online. That was all I needed to hear. He was able to get us a new ring and I was very appreciative that he didn't just try to sell us a new piece of jewelry. I've been coming to Shane's for a while, as this is where we have purchased 4 rings from this far (to include my wedding band). I've always had great service except for this past time. I had to get my rings resized and brought them from Chattanooga to Kennesaw. They told me 3 days and I could pick them up. So I went back on a Thursday to pick them up, only to find that two of the three rings were not flush (soldered together). I showed the you g lady and asked her to please have the jeweler fix it. I specifically asked her to detail the note to ask them to separate and re-solder to make sure the ring is flush, and not to just solder it up higher. She told me I could pick my ring up on Sunday. Sunday came and I drove back down to Kennesaw to get my rings. Long behold, the jeweler had soldered it higher, but the rings were still not flush... I was NOT happy as Kennesaw is 1.5 hours from my home. Rebecca came out (she identified herself as the manager) and I explained it to her. It was very clearly not done correctly. She said that I could leave it again to which I got upset because how many times do I have to leave it for them to do it right? She offered to mail it to me - I told her I did not trust their quality control and that they'd probably send me the same mess back. She had to concede, and finally asked me to come back in 2.5 hours and she had them re-solder the rings. The rings are still not as flush as they were when I originally dropped them off, but it's not as lopsided as what they tried to give me back. I was really disappointed by the lack of quality control the first time, and very angry the second time. The jewelry at Shane's is not cheap, and I expect a different standard of service from them. I took a bracelet in to have the clasp replaced and possibly a link taken out. It was a simple silver bracelet. Probably not worth more than $50, but I like it for every day wear. The clerk was obviously not interested in helping me and came back with a quote of $100 to do the work. She couldn't even be bothered to try and help me decide if it should be shortened. Their motto "now you have a friend in the jewelry business" could not be further from the truth. I have some jewelry purchases to make over the holidays. I needed to get my wedding rings resized. Since it's our 25th anniversary, my husband and I discussed upgrading my plain gold band to something nicer. I came in and spoke to Paige, and she was wonderful! She was so complimentary about my engagement ring which was my grandmother's. When I explained what I wanted in a wedding band, she listened and went to pick some options. She was super excited about one of her choices, a band that was close in size to my engagement ring, and had diamonds that lined up perfectly. It was far from the most expensive option, but as she said, it was perfect. It made me feel that she truly wanted me to love my ring, not just sell me something expensive. My husband purchased my engagement ring from the Alpharetta location but we have dealt with location ever since for our wedding jewelry and such. The quality for the price is amazing and from what my husband said about his search for the engagement ring, he would have to agree. The selection they offer is pretty extensive and the staff seems quite knowledgable if you need something customized to your taste. What I love is there is a lifetime guarantee on their jewelry and having it cleaned is super easy. I'm pregnant now and one of the employees just explained to me they would resize it every 2 weeks due to my swelling fluctuation if I wanted. How great is that? I figured they would get sick of me! I first visited to get my engagement ring and I was somewhat nervous since I know nothing about jewelry and I'm spending a ton of money. Well the experience was way easier than I thought. They explained everything clearly without being condescending. Fast forward a year and some months and I come back for a valentines gift. I was on the fence over a purple sapphire I saw when I bought the Amethyst pieces so I asked to look at it. My husband and I purchased our wedding bands here. After a good first time experience, my husband came back and purchased a $4K set of diamond earrings for my birthday in 2019. For my 2020 birthday present, hubby wanted to get me a diamond tennis bracelet. I was thrilled to go back to Shane to pick out the perfect one. We found the one for $5500 and left it there to have it shorten. They told us it wouldn't be ready to pick up until Tuesday afternoon. On Monday, 2 days after the purchased, we called first thing in the morning at 11am when they opened to cancel the purchase. The customer service rep answered the phone and confirmed that it was fine to cancel and all we needed to do is to come in and sign the papers and show ID. About 15 mins later, she calls us back to let us know that we couldn't canceled because it is custom made part. There was nothing custom made about this bracelet. It was taken lengths out. So beware that if your jewelry has to go to the shop, then it is not returnable! Here is a question, if your jewelry is still with them, doesn't that mean that they are working on it, therefore, how do you tell me that you didn't know it was getting resized??? I, of course, had to speak to the manager. We never wanted to return this bracelet but the night before, my husband passed out and we had to go to the ER and spent 6 hours there to scan his body, received no good news from his CT scan. We knew we will now face financial difficulties so the bracelet wasn't what we needed at this time. As we explained this to the manager, Naomi said the bracelet has been completed and cannot be resold so we can't return it. But yet it was not ready for pick up until the next day. By the way, you can check the progress on their site, which said in process, NOT completed. Naomi then asked us to allow her 2 business days to let us know what she can do to help this situation. After 3 business days, she calls my husband to address that she has resolve the issue and was able to return the bracelet and issue us a full refund. We greatly appreciate it! It was a relief. So, why write this review, you may ask? Well, sometimes people just need to know when to stop talking. After Naomi mentioned she had it all taken care of, she had to need to also tell us that she will notate the account that we aren't allowed to have anything custom (meaning resize) there until we are sure we want it. That was completely unnecessary. She couldn't have left it at we took care of it. My husband's response to her was we appreciate what you did but we will take our business elsewhere. You are not the only jewelry store around here. I mean you sit in the same parking lot as Jared and across the street from you is D'Geller and Sons. I'm sure you are thinking you carry the best diamonds but they all think the same. After spending thousands of dollars with you and continuing to come back, this experience has made you lose a customer. We were hoping when things got back to normal we could come back to get that bracelet, but I guess you don't want our business. I regret giving you my business and glad that my husband purchased my almost 2 ct engagement ring with Solomon Brothers. For those who decides to visit them, please know that although they advertise themselves as no commission, they act like they do because numbers matter to them. Amazing. I am totally deterred by pushy salespeople. There are none of those here. I want to shout em out for that. My now-husband and I window shopped for my engagement ring. Later he purchased it online and came back alone to pick it up. I can't speak for his personal experience (although I hear it went well as far as customer service! The price of an engagement ring in general is another story..) but my experience with Shane Co has been relaxed, pleasant and on MY terms, not the salesperson's. The reason I'm writing today is because I brought my ring in to be repaired after a prong came loose. I dropped it off, filled out my name and number.. And was asked no other questions. I was not sure why it was so easy because I didn't purchase the ring, so it wouldn't have been under MY name and I didn't have a receipt for the ring of course... (Yes, I'm new to this jewelry stuff!) I guess it says Shane Co inside the ring very small! He even cleaned it quick while I filled out my name and number. They told me when to come back and two weeks later I called to be sure it was ready before I made the trip. All good.. We usually do not look to find negatives about any person, or any company. However, my husband and I visited the Kennesaw store to have a diamond remounted. We were waited on by a salesperson whose name we forgot to get, nor do we remember her introducing herself. She helped us to view a couple of wedding sets that had been ordered from another location. However, we were not pleased with the items, so the salesperson started showing us other possible options. Still, we were not finding any rings that we liked. Then, suddenly the salesperson, a middle aged short lady with long blond hair, brought another salesperson over to take care of us, and stated that they were a team. Yet she walked away from us and never returned. We were not sure why she couldn't finish assisting us. We merely wanted to take our time to choose something that we liked. We were insulted that someone would do something like this. It seems that the initial salesperson no longer wanted to help us, since she asked the other salesperson, who happened to be black also, named Tiffany, to help us instead. Also, for the entire time that we were viewing rings, there was always at least two other sales persons pacing back and forth near us and constantly watching us. Finally, we decided to just leave. We are an elderly black couple who are well prepared to purchase a ring when we find the right fit, because we want to get the ring remounted as soon as possible. I brought my friend in to look at rings around lunch on a Monday. Before I start let me tell you they were not busy and they were acting like we were wasting their time. I had such a good experience when I went ring shopping around a year ago and things have went down hill completely. First almost none of the settings have stones so they are really hard to gauge what a ring will look like without a stone unless you have a vivid imagination. This is especially true for someone ring shopping for the first time. I asked if they had a stone we could pop in so we can see how it looks. They refused to do that until we were down to the TOP THREE. I understand the concept of only having three settings out at one time, however if a customer wants to look at a ring with a stone don't tell her NO WE HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL WE GET TO THE END TO MAKE SURE THIS IS THE TOP THREE. No you get your lazy ass to the back and pick out a stone so that the customer can see how the ring looks with a stone before forcing her to put back when that could have been the PERFECT ring that was passed up!! I did not have this problem what so ever when I went prior and I'm embarrassed to have put my friend in this position to have a bad experience on her first ring shopping trip. Also I asked well do you have a cubic you can pop In there to get an idea of the look. I swear they looked like they just ate a lemon when I said that and said oh no we only have real here with a sarcastic attitude. We ended up going to de geller in Kennesaw and my friend was like oh my God this is like night and day with customer service. They served wine and let her try on as many rings with loose stones that she wanted!!! Needless to say she found her TOP THREE rings at de geller and that is where her 20k plus will be spent!!! So at the end of the day THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO GO BACK TO CUSTOMER SERVICE AS A TOP PRIORITY!! Your team needs to learn to be courteous and get some more training!!! read more

My fiance and I went to Shane Co for the first time yesterday. We were looking for a bridal set for me. We were greeted by Kelly Ray who was extremely nice, educated and kind. I let him know from the start that our budget was $2,500 - $3,000 for the ring and the band. He only showed up unmounted sets that were in our budget plus the cost of the diamond. He wasn't pushy, wasn't rude, and was very honest about the rings. We ended up putting a diamond halo unmounted ring on layaway (we are getting married August 2015) and will be going back to put the bands on layaway. Payment options are very flexible, which I liked. One of the biggest advantages of Shane Co is that you can upgrade your center stone as often as you like for as much as you would like. For example, the diamond were looking at was around $700. We could get that and if we want, a few months later we can trade in that diamond for the same amount ($700) and use that money towards a larger diamond, you only pay the difference. You don't have to double the cost in order to upgrade and you will always get the amount you spent on the original diamond as a credit towards the next. You will not lose any money. I loved that. We decided on a double halo ring set unmounted that can carry a diamond up to 3 cts. We are starting with .50 ct but every anniversary will be upgrading that diamond for only a few hundred bucks each year ($200 - $300 depending on how much you want to spend). I LOVE THAT! No matter what your budget is, there is a ring in there for everyone! Kelly was amazing. He spent a good hour with us walking around and letting me try on everything. The rings we looked at were unmounted so he was constantly pulling diamonds / sapphires and placing them in the ring mounts so I can see how the entire set will look once complete. Amazing customer service. We have looked at a lot of places and I haven't found this amount of selection and dedication than I have at Shane Co. Today was my first experience with Shane Co., and I couldn't be more pleased. I went in with the love of my life with high hopes, to only have them exceeded! A young man, Aaron, assisted us. First he asked white, yellow, or rose gold, or platinum? He pointed out I wear rose gold glasses and yellow gold watch and bracelet. He wasn't suprised I picked yellow! Then the next choice was mounting. Plain solitaire. Rounded band edges, not squared. Then Aaron helped Gene pick the perfect diamond! Bright, and clear, I was totally blown away with how perfect it looked to me! They talked carats and inclusions. I just saw sparkle! We didn't even look at the pricier one Aaron brought out there was no need! I was already sold. I'd already told Gene we could go smaller, but he had an idea of what he wanted me to wear! Aaron expected that the ring was going to have to take two or three days before being shipped to us, but when he took the setting and the stone to the shop in the back, he came back with the news that they were going to mount it right away and we were going to be able to take the ring home with us today! She was our sales associate. lack of knowledge. lack of personal skills! (case in point - both my fiancé and i were with her for almost 2 hrs and she had to ask what my name was while we were checking out, and I am the buyer!! -- need i note that she wrote my name down on an order form when i told her that i would buy a ring that day if the right ring was found). she also came back with "good news" that she could change our engagement setting and have a new wedding band setting made. point is, i bought a ring ... i want a wedding band to match it (as does my fiancé). do NOT ask me to exchange bands and settings based on what you have in your shelf at that point. My husband bought my engagement/wedding ring 14 years ago from the Shane Company in Morrow. I love it!!! Unfortunately, my center stone came out when I got my ring caught in a door a few weeks ago. They were so wonderful! Cheryl showed me several options and they were all beautiful. Since we bought both the ring and the diamond from Shane Co, and since we had the ring serviced, they replaced the diamond for free. We ended up purchasing some beautiful items for Christmas. My fiance had my stone and setting set at this location. He ordered the setting through ShaneCo online, and they were more than happy to assist him with having my ring put together. They even gave him a discount on the setting fee! I came back not too long after we got engaged to have my ring resized. I had been exceptionally motivated to go to the gym since I knew he was going to propose within a few months, and I wanted to look the best I could... That also meant I went down half a size once I got my ring. I love that any resizing, cleaning, or repair (as long as you go through them) is free. Amazing service. My wife had to replace her wedding ring we bought from a different company because the stones kept falling out. We tried a few other places then went to Shane Co. The staff, the quality of rings, and the FREE lifetime warranty sold us. We will never go anywhere else for jewelry! They even fixed my wife's ring from my grandmother for free! My wife is very picky, she takes her time. Nobody was ever bothered with her her because they are not commission based. I can't say enough good things about my experiences at this Shane Co. My husband and I went to many local jewelers and were unimpressed with the price, selection and high pressure sales tactics while searching for my engagement ring. The staff at Shane Co. were extremely professional, knowledgeable and willing to spend lots of time with us. I did not write a review at the time; however, the continued excellent service years after the sale is the reason I'm writing today. One of the things I love about Shane Co. is the free cleaning. I received a reminder that I was due to have the prongs checked and stopped by the store yesterday while running errands with my mother. I told her it would only take a few minutes and that they have great cookies! We were greeted promptly by Misty York who took my ring back to be cleaned. A few minutes and a chocolate chip later, Misty returned with my sparkling ring and offered us a bottle of water to go. In this world of mediocre at best service, who offers you a bottle of water on your way out the door? When you didn't buy anything or even indicate interest? ***UPDATE*** Audrey at Shane Co reached out to me before all this covid stuff happened. After the covid shut down, she got back with me and gave me a full refund to have damage repaired to my ring. Thank you for your time, concern and the ability to have my ring fixed my way. ---------------- Beware and check your jewelry THROUGHLY before you leave this place. I recently moved from Ohio back to Georgia. I noticed that my center diamond was slightly loose so I stopped wearing it and asked everyone I know who they would recommend here ( the ring was bought in Ohio ). Most people said Shane Co. I went in yesterday to see if they could help me out. My ring is only two years old, by the way. I work from home so this ring has not had a hard life. After aimlessly walking around for about 15 minutes a nice gentleman came up to me and I told him my problem. He said let's see. He took it from me and went to a room with a window and grabbed something to put the ring on, came back out then said let's clean it. He took it back into the room with the window and came back out. He told to me that he also noticed the center stone was slightly loose so he said let's take it to the back and see. I didn't follow him completely, though I know now that should have. He came back and it looked okay. The center stone wasn't loose anymore but you could tell they had clamped down on the prongs. I SHOULD HAVE WALKED RIGHT BACK IN AT THAT POINT. I got home and noticed that a tiny diamond on the halo had fallen out. It was right next to the prong that was now bent. I have no doubt that this is due to them trying to make a quick fix. I took it back in today, right when they opened and presented my problem. The woman and a man that heard my issue went behind a door to "to see what they could do". After a few moments, the woman and man come back out to tell me that since the ring is not from them, there's nothing they could do and that I would have to pay for the fix. There were no apologies, no one saying we'll help pay or give you a couple free cleanings or inspections. Nothing. This is terrible customer service. The quote I was given was partial BS and to replace the tiny diamond wasn't too expensive. That's not the point. I came in for help, not for a quick fix. Like I'm going to leave my ring with you inconsiderate people to "fix"... I can only assume that if you're not a customer of theirs they don't respect new prospective customers. What a joke. Own up Shane Co and have better documentation when customers bring in their jewelry. I'll be going back to my jeweler in Ohio and will not set foot into a Shane Company again. Thank read more
