My spouse had originally spoke and arranged with the broker to move our household condo contents…read morefrom FL to NY. The broker said the movers do two or three runs per week. My spouse was asked and advised the broker of what was to be moved of many estimated boxes and items including a curio cabinet, two etageres, china cabinet and a 48" glass top dining room table with 5 chairs. The broker assigned a company named, All Saint Movers, who showed up late at 12:30 pm with an extended U-Haul truck, not a long trailer. Upon arrival there were two movers. The lead was nice and a hard worker who wrapped all the furniture and everything we hadn't already boxed. I explained to the lead upon their arrival the 5 or 6 items that had to stay and were being donated and he commented that the glass curio shelves, china cabinet shelves and dining room table top would all be extra charges beyond what my spouse was quoted since they had to be wrapped. What curio or china cabinet doesn't have glass shelves as originally stated? Does this type of furniture have nothing and you just pile everything on the bottom 7' high? I noticed the other mover who didn't speak English using my stepladder, taping it to their dolly to extend the dolly, even though they never asked me, then they took packing tape and they made loops from it and twisted it to form a rope to tie everything down instead of strapping or bungee. I asked him where their moving truck was and he said it was up north in Tampa! Needless to say, they were there until after midnight!! Around 11pm I could tell they were tiring he still had expensive Barcelona chairs, a tool tote (that the broker recommended) they used to hold the door open for 2 hrs and a carpet cleaner that were left and he was shocked when I asked him was, he taking these! I never said they weren't going. Once they picked up our contents the contract and all email information were no longer accessible on their site! My DR wishbone chairs along with these last few pieces weren't even wrapped in moving blankets because they had run out! At that point of the night, he wasn't sure if all would fit in the U Haul and was shocked, I wanted my step ladder back. I asked him who would be responsible for transferring our contents to a regular 53' moving van and he said he would the next day in Fort Lauderdale to a van already partially loaded. Daily calls to their customer service from our hotel in NY never provided any updates only misinformation by them. About a week later while still at the hotel we found out it was all a lie that the company only had one van and it wasn't there partially loaded as I was told and that our contents were in a warehouse!!! None of what customer service would say never happened and after about 10 days of staying in a motel and getting constant excuses or wrong information our condo contents were finally received in NY. Not in the 2 or 3 trips weekly as the broker stated but 10 days later!! When they finally arrived for the move to unload on September 13, 2024, they insisted on the payment balance right before they would unload. They said that the armoire I had they couldn't get up the stairs so they ended up leaving the armoire two floors down in the finished basement. After they left, I had noticed multiple and multiple things that had been damaged. I had an end table from the Waldorf Astoria hotel with a marble top that was cracked and looked like they took a sledgehammer to it. The unloader lead claimed to my spouse it was synthetic which it was not! I had 5 black wishbone dining room chairs, which the painted arms got all scratched up because they had never put padding around them. Two decorator armchairs had the wood arm tops scratched since they weren't padded. I had an antique oil painting that has a chip off the paint that I'll have to get restored. The china cabinet has a small quarter round molding unattached and the brass frame around the keyhole missing. They also chipped one of the wooden stands I had for a sculpture. I still haven't unpacked the boxed fragile china, crystal, or antique ceramics, yet but I understand that since I packed them All Saints Movers is not responsible. Once we received the contents many boxes were removed and repacked by them. I don't know why, possibly because they didn't pack or load it all correctly during the long loading process from FL. All Saints charged us $1600.00 extra for the glass packaging and then another $1800.00 upon delivery for volume overage. Why wouldn't the broker or company send someone in advance to estimate and look beforehand as United Van did when we moved to Florida? Upon delivery they held our contents hostage until they received the remaining balance for the glass wrapping and extra volume totaling $3,400.00. All Saints Movers are unscrupulous and scammers. We should at a minimum receive the $1500.00 extra they charged for packing the shelves they were told about far in advance. Do not recommend
